Haha soshi, I'm on Batchix's list! I don't mind the wait, I've had other artist dolls before, and I am used to it, and it's not like I'm waiting for a kidney or anything!

I just got back to looking at this thread because I have been extremely tied up at work and on travel both before and after the Ohio Workshop, and have not really been on this board except to do a couple things in Marketplace and to deal with the Migi group orders I'm running.
LadyS I am so sorry you got sick from overexposure to these nasty chemicals! Please take your time and feel better.
The pictures of the black Teds look awesome, I can't wait to meet mine! Thanks for all your help too Enki! I presume it will be a little while before you can ship him, but mine doesn't need a faceup, which maybe will help.
Anyway - When I get done with my big project at work that has been taking up my every waking minute for about 2 weeks (except for the four days I was off at a family function taking up my every waking minute) I will be jonesing for a nice chubby little TED, so no rush but do keep me posted since I may not be around the board too much - and wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery Lady S!

 

I'm sure she's just avoiding this place because she knows it'll take her HOURS to go thru all her posts and PM's... lol (j/k)

But seriously, I know she's working on stuff, because she shipped mine out pretty recently. I haven't talked to her either, but i'm sure we will hear from her soon.

 

here is a post I made on my preorder thread early today...it should have gone up yesterday..but due to many many baby trick or treaters...I was unable to get on the net ^^;
Here's some proof that I've actually been working ^^;

there is 2 normal skins...suppose to be both Dark...even though one is lighter than the other ^^; and one Yellow...is there anyone in the preorder willing to switch to Yellow??? as this Yellow on is all done...it just needs to be washed and magnets set up and he's ready to roll out...if no one wishes to change their Blue to the Yellow or other colored Ted to a Yellow...I will be putting him up in the market place within a day to help cover the $500 I just spent on new materials ^^;

as just to update a bit...I have gone over $1000 in the hole on this project...and for a poor person like me...that's a lot of money...but as I said...the deposit you sent guarantee's you a Ted...as I promise...as I never go back on my promises ^_^
this is just a definite that Ted's price will most definitely go up in the Next preorder of 5 slots as well as future sales. (Twigling also went through the same thing in her first preorder...live and learn I guess ^_^ )

I will take better pics as soon as I wash all the dust off of them....as they are super super dusty from cleanup sanding...all three of them were pretty much finished in the late afternoon...but due to Halloween and tons and tons of little kids coming to the door ...I was unable to get to the computer last night...

there is sadly enough only 3 full new ones done...I had problems with the other two...the light skinned normal one turned out to be a dud...due to too many bubbles...and the 3rd normal skin one turned out to be a partial Dud...as in the back of the neck there was an insanely large bubble...no joke I could have put a standard marble in this hole ^^; but it was just the Torso piece...I tried to recast another torso...but stupidly broke my mold...but no worries...I ordered new materials Monday morn and they should be here tomorrow...so I can redo the molds (as now I totally understand and know how thick the molds have to be on the outer rim to be secure and last ^^;

Enki has fully finished the Black, Blue and one white...she will post pics later...she is also right this very minute still working on the other white and the two reds...she is working at double pace right now to finish this all before her birthday ^_^ *Hugs on Enki* she will try to ship these back to me asap.

I'm going to clean these three up and also take pics of the other two packages to show that I did work on them...just for those non believers ^^;

but for now I'm solidly out of Resin...and awaiting the shipment I ordered Monday morn ^_^ due to arrive tomorrow.
as soon as the new mommies and daddy's approve of their new kids I will ship out the three new ones....

my apologies to Kisaki for the Light normal skin being a dud O.O so so so sorry...I'll get working on you second asap O.O

and Here's my post from moments ago on the Preorder thread with more updates ^_^
(Rynn and FullMetalHobbist's dolls will be done slightly out of order due to the faceups ^_^ so no worries...you, Fullmetal and Kisaki's doll will be the first three made as soon as the new resin arrives ^_^)

and Tada: presenting Three Teds that are finished (with a fourth that will be done as soon as new resin arrives (which will be within the next two-three days)
Yellow Ted (mommy and Daddy unknown O.O) does somebody from this preorder like him more than their original choice of color...please do let me know...as he is ready to go off to a new home...but if no one claims him...he will be going up in the market place tomorrow night)


the only real airbubbles that are noticeable are the ones in the head cap which will not be seen with a wig on.


there is an airbubble in the neck...not very big and is not very noticable...can be sanded a bit more to make less noticeable...and there are very small bubbles under the bellybutton area...and the bellybutton is off center ^^; sorry about that too


the only real problem I can see on this Ted is that he has a bit of a hole in the top of his head...but I can assure you it can be covered up with a wig and does not interfere with the headcap placement.



here is Soshi's or AerynAerie's kids...you two please tell me which one you prefer...the darker one is the original dark that was listed in teh Preorder...the other one is slightly lighter than that...it's inbetween the light and the dark...but is closer to the dark...as tehlight is really really light...so I've decided that the lighter one is classified as dark as well...
here is the lighter one:
he has an offset belly button ^^; and two grove lines just outside below teh neck...as they are where my new mold lines are...I can take it down more if needed...




and he has a few airbubbles in the head cap as well



here is the darker one:
ignore the discoloration...^^; he's drying right now...as he's partially washed and partially wet...and that's why he looks discolored...but I can assure you he's not.


but in his torso he's got a bit of a problem...which I'm going to sand down somemore...as I didnt' realize the bubbles were this bad...If they do't sand down I'll be recasting this body...^^; unless his new mommy or daddy doesn't mind...or can fix him...I'd also offer a $15 cash discount if this is acceptable to his new parent...I'd send it with him.)

@LadySaiyuki - If no one from the pre-order decided to switch to the yellow one, you should do an AUCTION in the marketplace... because really, how many people can get yellow skinned dollies?!? I think it'll go for a bunch and that should help you recover some of your losses.

Also, just so you know... i'm at work now, but my mom called to say that my babies have arrived!!!!!! (I bugged her to stay there and wait all day for the mailman... hehe... so she's excited too~) I'll take pics tonight and post them up tomorrow.

um 10 full dolls including my artemis and the one I did for my mom's Bday (and but including the ones that Enki has 15 including my mom's and mine)...with like 6 full miscasts (three totally unusable as they did not solidify correctly and are no joke in almost a gel solid state ^^; ) not in the count as well as tons of test cast pieces and random miscast pieces ^^; but some parts are usable... 2 of the miscasts can be saved with recasting the torsos and a part or two in the set...which I will do as not to have so many miscasts...^^; but I'm now waiting on Resin to arrive...as I'm out of Resin...it should arrive within the next day or two...along with new mold putty so I can redo molds that need to be redone.

haven't died yet thankfully, feeling better and have 3 new full dolls done ^_^

Awe me and Artemis think of you and Zamora and we've both decided to send out a surprise to you as a thank you for your wonderful friend ship that you've given us ^_^
and absolutely I am feeling so much better ^.^ and I'm working on the preorder at full force now ^_^ ^^; um let me rephrase that..I'm working at a safe full force ^^;

let me go check to tracking number O.O....I have no idea what to say...I just checked the tracking number and it says there is no record of the item...I shipped them out on Monday priority 2 day mail...is should have been there by now and for it to say there is no record of it?...I'll go to the post office if I can later today to check on this...as there is something very much so not right O.O as the lady at the desk said that it woul arrive either the 30th or the 31th of October...especially being that it was in the state of Fl O.O

the Vacation was for sat sun...due to allergies to resin dust...no on the week days ^^;
as I was starting to get sick again and breaking out on my upper arms and where gloves didn't' cover and it was starting to get hard to breathe again ^^; so due to shots and getting better...alls I did was some light sanding sunday night...and as soon as Enki finishes up we will have 15 fully done preorder dolls with only like 7-8ish more to do ^_^ which will rock. as we are heading up on the home stretchish...^^;

and wow...a one year waiting list...don't worry guys I won't do that...not at all...as you can see I'm working on it.

as for shipping your kids out...I'm looking into that asap...as the PO doesn't seem to have updated teh tracking as it shows 0306 3030 0001 1386 5919 there is no record of...but that I'm hoping is a serious mistake...*Hugs* and no worries...the PO has been quite slow recently...I think I may have to moved to UPS with signature confirmation or FedEx...but I'll have to see what the price difference is.

 

Awww, yellow Ted is cute, but you know who I am waiting for! To anyone who would buy him/her , you could frighten doll noobs by telling them that's what happens when you put resin in the sun too long haha.

 

O.O You have no idea how happy this makes me as I was really panicy and was inches away from running to the PO to complain and panic O.O

and yeah I guess that would help cover a bit of loss...but I definitely want the preorder-Es to get first dibs ^_^...as I think I may limit Yellow to only 4 in the world ^_^ but that's only if the ones in this preorder wish to switch...if not I will only allow 2 entirely to the public and 1 to Enki if she likes the color ^_^

I have a Majorly sweet question to ask all of you O.O

Some incredibly sweet person...unknown to me at this moment...sent me get well chocolates (white ones to be a bit more specific) but there was no name at the bottom of the get well card...or on the invoice...is was marked as gift...

it made me so incredibly happy that someone would do this for me...and I'd like to thank them properly...but I don't know who to thank...please do pm me to let me know...

huggles to you three ^_^ *Snuggly huggles* yeah I was pretty surprised...as White chocolates are my absolute favorite...so I thought it'd be someone that knew me really well...but from the message on the card it seemed like they didn't know my personal tastes in chocolate as they said that chocolates cheer them up when they are sick and not feeling well and was hoping that it'd do the same for me ^_^
and all that know that personally my favorite chocolate is White chocolate wouldn't say things like that...or at least not quite worded like that. ^_^
