Last Tensiya DO Bermann release - Preparing

Honestly, I don't see how there's anything wrong with it. Plenty of folks had other people trying for them in all the other releases... So why not?

If I had the money, I'd certainly be enlisting the help of my friends to email for me -- you could bet your ass on it.

 

I just don't think it's right 'cause it's the very last time, i want him like crazy but others do too, it's not fair , everybody should have equal chances... there will be a mess if people that are not into paying for him , win and stat giving their places here in DOA for example , if they don't do it for their friends like you say, you are not doing it for a friend...think about Anu too that gave her heart to find actual, and final homes and destinations for her creations....
I just don't think it's right...just for this once at least...
I wouldn't like to know that I didn't win 'cause so many people played like that....

I know that life isn't fair, I'm old enough to know that, but I thought that we were all friends in this forum and at least in a case like this if we were not into something for real we wouldn't take the opportunity from the others to make their dream come true!
Maybe I should play like that too then...but I can't 'cause I'm the only one from greece who tries for a Bermann, tensiya knows me 'cause I ordered before, and all my friend live nearby me so I would risk being disqualified if I was found out...and now my chances of winning are going to minimum lil' by lil' 'cause most people will applicate like that??? I (and all of us, or most of us)went through all this trouble to raise money , wait, make plans to loose like that? I don't think it's right, and if we all tried to ban these behaviors and discourage them, here in this lil' "community" we have, they would sure stop , or become fewer...to minimum

 

Does anyone have any idea of what the cost will be? Any thoughts at all?

DoA does not have the ability to tell me, my friends, or anyone else how to act outside of this forum. They can discourage multiple people entering for a friend to win a Bermann, they can even ban the membership from talking about it, but they have no right to tell us what to do when we aren't posting here. DoA discourages scalping, and everyone but the scalpers disapprove of scalping, but guess what? It still happens. In spades.

For some reason, Bermanns make most of the community crazy. People pay $8000 for a doll that originally cost less than $2000. If you intend to enter for a Bermann, and if you have friends, it'd be in your best interest to even the game and ask them to enter with you. I don't see anything wrong or immoral about it.

Also, it's just a little bit more than naive to assume that we are all friends, that everyone here wants to make everyone else's dreams come true, and that none of us are underhanded. If that is the impression you are under, you should probably go read the problem transactions subforum for a little taste of reality. No one is as selfless as you seem to think this entire community is.

 

I'm not talking about the whole DOA community that includes hundreds of people, I'm just talking about those ones of us here that are trying for the bermann this last time and talk about it. We all know it's the last time...
this game can't be even no matter how I try , if everybody here applicates along with at least 6-10 friends...
Anyway, this thing won't get to an end anyway and I don't want to go on with it 'cause it makes me even more nervous than I already am...I just wish things were different, I can't do anything about them and I sure can't make people do things outside this forum, I have no power for that and I would never ask for it, I just wish that our talking here could change their mind...

I won't care anymore, I just wish I'll win , even with my one and only try.

 

I can't say I think it's unfair having other people enter for you. I mean, it's about material goods, and winning the chance to buy something, rather than some sort of moral contract.

I mean sure, we love our dolls, and there is a huge element of both emotional and creative investment, but there is a flip side, and that flip side is that we pay for these dolls with cold hard cash.

I guess I'm trying to say that when it comes down to it, at least on a level of obtaining these dolls, it is a situation where we are paying for an object. We may love that object and invest ourselves in it, but that doesn't make the acquisition of it any different from anything else. Would there be the same reaction over a raffle for a roast chicken or something?

I do wonder if it's the human aspect of these dolls that draw out such emotion when it comes to trying to 'win' them. There is no right or wrong, to be frank, and I don't think that if the winners had help from friends that they are any less deserving.

Anyway, let's not turn this into a bickering thread, right? We're all here because we love the dolls, so let's all do what we feel is right and keep our fingers crossed for each other - whatever the method.

 

Do we actually know for sure if it's a lottery method, or is it a selection type of thing like with Il Milione??? I prefer the second one I must admit...

Memole, there is nothing so far but a message saying that they will email the applications out in 72-80 hours. It'll be another three or four days before we know anything else, unfortunately.

 

There seems to be conflicting messages as to when exactly they will be released, from what I gather...so I guess we just keep waiting. Besides, we've managed about a year...what's a few more days?

 

Well at least I know if I get him I`ll get him fair and square Cheat all you want to get him or to make this an even bgger wank it is already. My decision is made and I stand by it. It's something called principles. I guess it's something no one cares about anymore or is old fashion. WHATEVER!

No life isn`t fair Wow newsflash for me... Life isn`t fair I know that but if people treated each other with a little respect we`d live in a better world.

So sorry to have crushed your belief with mine. No one wins in this situation, I can still find the fact that people are stacking the odds in their favour by cheating to be unfair. You can`t change the way I feel about that.

When you have a kid that cheats to win tests or advance in life maybe then you`ll have another opinion but since it,s just a doll. No one cares about principle anymore.

 

The mods cannot enforce how people enter for Bermann, though we would of course hope that our members would act fairly. However, we can enforce how our members act on DoA, and it is against the rules to solicitate or offer sales outside of the MP. Please do not beg others to enter for you or offer to enter for Bermann for others in this thread. If you do, your posts will be deleted and you could face sterner discipline, including suspension of MP privileges. Thank you and good luck to those trying for the very last Bermann!

 

I made a debate thread in the Debate section about this sort of practice in general, so that people can discuss it up in Debate and not clutter up the Bermann thread and make the people who are waiting more nervous.

At least do you remember if back then when they sold Mr Fogg, I think it was fast e-mail applications method (first 11 win), had they announced a specific time to send the applications some days before the release? I mean in case it's not lottery and it's something like that (which I hope is not) , will they announce it some time before or do we have to wait and check our e-mail every second to get the application in time and send it fast...just asking , I've no idea how it actually worked back then, that's all I got from scanning past discussions.

 

That's a great idea, it's a good debate topic.

 

Each time has been different. It's probably best to take a deep breath and just not worry about how the past auctions/lotteries/essays/blood oath contracts/etc were made. I think over thinking this is only making things a lot more stressful for you.

In the past, it has been first person to send in an email, as well as first person to get to their website. We have no way of knowing if Anu/Tensiya will do the same thing again, but seeing as each time has been totally different, I really don't see her doing the same thing again but I could be dead wrong.

I think just keep a level head and all available appendages crossed for good luck... and that's the best you can do.

I'll go back on my Bermann FAQ and add how the releases from Tensiya were all handled. I didn't think anyone would really want to know, but I suppose it is relavant to some people, huh? I'll update that now so check back on the FAQ in about an hour for the drama.

I am extremely agree with the "If you don't want to buy him then don't try to get him... Seriously! You're taking away the chance of someone who really wants him to get their chance." statement... for the last few release there are so many ppl who buy Bermann and sell him right away in the marketplace for huge amount...this is the LAST TIME, ppl who are not really into Bermann plz DO NOT APPLY!! Its just an advice anyway , I know ppl who just want to try their luck will send in application in the end of cuz.

This is the difference of , for example, Volks LE and Bermann , Volks may have re-release and their "limits" is time limit , the quantity is not that rare, with Bermann , the quantity is strictly limited!! This is really the last chance for Bermann lovers , Yes, This is personal choice of cuz , if u can afford u can purchase it and sell for quick cash , but it just show how selfish you are Peace. Out.
