Photo request: Does anyone have a Lati Lime and a Rosen Lied Holiday? I am curious to see the two big headed dolls together.
I'm working on the faceup for my Happy, and thought I would post some photos. There has been discussion about eye size. I ordered 20mm eyes for Happy before she arrived. I thought that would be a good fit because Hana's default 22mm didn't fit in her sockets well, and the general consensus in this discussion is that 22mm is too big. The 20mm eyes I purchased are not a perfect fit either, but the 22mm eyes she came with fit snugly into her sockets. I sanded the inside of Hana's eye sockets a bit to try to better accommodate 22mm eyes (the insides of her sockets were not smooth, but the inside of Happy's sockets are completely smooth and hold 22mm well). Anyway, here you can see small gaps around the 20mm eyes. If I put the eyes straight into her head without any angle they fit a little more snugly. I love these eyes, but the iris size is a little too small for my taste. These are low-dome resin (urethane) eyes. This is Hana (thanks, again, to Stelladolls for this sweet girl) wearing 22mm glass eyes that Lati sent with Happy. This is post-sanding. The sanding has helped to lessen the gaps, but they're still there. (If it is ok to post it, I am also including one of Hana's sales photos to show her default 22mm eyes. If you look closely, you can see the eye putty in the gaps.) I want to order more eyes, but I am not sure if I want to order 20mm with a wider iris, or 22mm with the normal iris (both would have an 11.8mm iris). 20mm eyes come with a 10mm iris. I wish there was a size between 10mm and 11.8mm. I think 10mm is too small, but 11.8mm is almost too large. argh *murmers that companies should make 21mm with 11mm iris*
The great eye mystery! I could never get a clear answer. You did all the detective work I was too lazy for where are the purple ones from?
They were a custom order from Ornella (Guitaroska on IG). She was so sweet. She said she had been wanting to try 20mm eyes - so we both won! I asked for pink, lavender, a touch of icey blue and silver sparkle. She does pre-order sales fairly regularly, but she had sold out, and wasn't selling anything in this size. I took a chance and emailed her, and these beauties showed up within 3 months.
All basic Lime, new basic Yellow, and new basic White are open all the time now except for the ones they discontinued. Even a few “special” basic are available. If they are not marked as sold out then they are available.
I've been staring at Limes on the Latidoll website and they all look cute but kind of sad. Maybe it's a product of the face-up? Does anyone have some happy looking Lati Lime spam they can share?
You asked that question more than a year ago. Just to answer for anyone else who may wonder, Limes have the normal Lati logo on the backs of their heads. I would post a photo for you, but I no longer have any image hosting accounts.
Anyone have a comparison with other size dolls? They look so cute. I really enjoy the big baby trend wonder if I’d like these guys.
