Latidoll Red Line boys Discussion

So, does anyone know the wig size or measurements for the Red line boys?

height : 63cm
Head : 20.5cm
neck : 10.5cm

arm : 19cm
waist~ankle : 39.5cm

I'm kind of late on this lol @_@ I just saw these two and I might want one of them instead of Kiss ^^ Just out of curiosity, which color eyes did you guys who have received your boys get? Is the green shown in the stock photos the default?

And I'm sorry to hear about that faceup issue, I agree that it would've been better for them to just tell you if they couldn't do it rather than drag you along knowing you expected something else... but let's wait for the replies, maybe it was a misunderstanding?

I also noticed that his head is quite a bit smaller than a normal SD sized doll. In fact...I've shoved him in all my MSD's wigs, and they actually fit. Some a little tight, but for the most part, he can totally fit into them with just a bit of pushing. Course...I like the fact that he has a smaller head...because I'm putting him with an MSD girl with a slightly larger head...so hopefully I will only have to worry about body size differences rather than head issues...

 

The Latidoll's "M" and "K" are in a differnt scale, they have more realistic porportions and less anime style, this does not bother me personally as I think they are some of the most beautifully sculpted dolls I have seen but they are not for everyone.

I just buy MSD wigs for them and they fit perfectly.

It's all about preference, if he's not the boy for you then he may not ever be, not every doll is for every person as there are so many to different tastes.

About the face up, I think in the promo photo the photography is different than what we can do at home so he appears more"saturated", but it probably is the standard face up and perhaps that's what they thought you wanted, who knows. I love my Boys face up but that's just my personal taste.

i took some PURTY pics of him by himself, here they are in the gallery... he is very beautiful alone. VERY very. Still undecided about the not-fitting-in-thing though.

 

Sher, i wrote to Lati and sent them pictures of my M and the original promo pictures. It took them forever to reply because they had "outlook express" problems. Meanwhile, (and i am not naming names) i see these two M with the perfect pink lips and eyebrows pop up on DOA. I'm not gonna lie, i was pissed, but then its not their fault. So i sent Lati pics of the owner dolls telling them that i know that they have done the same faceup before and that it was what i requested. This is what they wrote back today:

Hello, this is Lati.

First of all, we are sorry for your disappointment.

We are sorry, but you requested just "make-up" like
in the promo picture, so we thought that you want
the kind of style, did not know you want pink libs especially.

And as we answered, we tried to make your M
having make-up like in the promo picture you sent.

But make-up is handy work, so there might be
slightly diffrence, eventhough all make-up is made
by one person who make M having make-up in the
promo picture you sent.

So we are afraid you had to ask us more specific
about color of libs.

We ask your understanding that there`s nothing
we can do for you in this case with apologies.

First off, that's total BS. I sent them the promo picture and clearly it has the pink lips. Second of all, I KNOW that they can do the same face up as the promo pics because i've seen them. I wouldnt' be so PO'd if i had not seen the other M's with the face up in promo, so i know they're just trying to get out of it. That i don't apreciate. So I wrote them back and explained the situation and I guess they'll write me back tommorrow. We'll see.

I love my M just the way he is, but its the principle of the thing. Don't come to me and tell me that mine is an aproximation and that i didn't tell you what i wanted, when the picture is SO OBVIOUS.

Sher, you should write to them. Even if you are not going to keep him so that they know that I wasn't the only one it happened to.

(Okay, now I'm done ranting )

 

Angeltari --- Um... Yeah. I SPECIFICALLY said please make his lips THIS COLOR. In the notes when I paid, in a notice on the notice board, everywhere. So if they tell me they did it in the STYLE but not in the COLOR - then I really am gonna be mad, because, I did specifically say COLOR of the lips.

Sigh. I think poor Oliver is sort of tainted by association by this, because like you said, I see other M's with that color lips. I posted on their message board and asked if maybe they sent me the wrong doll or something. If they tell me the same thing they told you, I am really gonna be pissed off. And I sent them the promo pic too. Their own pic.

This is what I wrote when I ordered. See? I SAID COLOR.

And I included a picture of my doll to say, see, his lips are very pale beige, did I get the wrong doll? We will see what they say. I don't think they're going to do anything for me, either.

I really don't know what to do about Oliver now.

 

I knew it!!! I told them that there was someone else who requested them especifically and that they did not receive theirs either. You have to e-mail them because it Seems (correct me if i'm wrong), that we were the only ones who requested it especifically and neither one of us received theirs. Yeah, they're probably not going to do anything but please e-mail them so that they know I am not the only one. They just don't wanna own up to the fact that they made a mistake. Also, i couldn't find the original e-mail i sent them, so make sure you send them yours so that they see as well as your owner pics. Make them really big so that they can tell the difference. (they told me mine's were too small to see ). Also, tell them that you have seen others with the same faceup as the promo pics, so obviously they have done it similarly.
Yeah, i know what some are going to say, send him out to get his face up done. Yeah, i can do that, but I don't apreciate Lati telling me i didnt especify; and there's no way i'm going to get him to look the same.

My problem with this is that we were told oh no problem we can do that. I would RATHER be told, i'm very sorry, no faceup requests, sorry, then at least I would have chosen the default as pictured myself, or gotten him blank and planning on sending him to someone. PLUS it is bumming me out to no end that I DO see other dolls here with pinker lips like I requested. I can't even look at other owner photos, it makes me too sad.

In the grand scheme of things (life stuff I mean, lol) this really isn't that big of a deal, and either I like him enough to keep him, or I don't, and I will sell him. It just bugs me that I was repeatedly told no problem we can do that, and then...

 

Tell me about it! that's what has me so angry; knowing what he can look like and only getting mediocre. If they had said from the beginning that the couldn't and i hadn't seen the other pictures, i would be completely fine. Now i'm angry that they are trying to evade the issue. I know they are a relatively new company so that don't want to come out and say they did something wrong, but obviously they did. He's my first boy and i want to keep him, but every time i look at the promo pics i don't even wanna look at him.
Are you going to e-mail them, though, u didn't say. I seriously hope you do even though I know you are not sure if you are going to keep him, at least to see what they are going to say.

Sher & Angeltari: I also included the same photo of M you did in my order requesting that my K's face up be as dark in colour in his lips and eyebrows. Suffice to say, my K looks as pale and default as everyone else. I don't have a huge problem with it for the time being, seeing as I haven't found the right dark brown wig for him yet and his pale faceup looks better with his dirty-blonde default wig. I'll probably end up having to darken his faceup myself, or have to send him off to be redone in the future, which is a huge bother. >_>;

As much as I still love Latidoll and my K, trying to comfort myself by saying, "Well, there is a language barrier, after all, and they were really swamped with orders at the time so maybe they just forgot..." isn't working too well when I can't help thinking that I blew so much extra money on a faceup I won't keep for the long run. -_-

 

I didn't email, i posted on their message board, as I've gotten better response from them when I do that. I'll let you know what they say.

First of all, we are very sorry for our mistake.

We checked why your request was not reflected, and we think that your request was not dilevered to person in charge of make-up service.

But we ask your understanding that there is some differece from missing or damaged product with aplogies.

We are affraid shipping charge for two times (receiving and sending back) is too much for us to make it on our full responsibility.

So we`d appreciate it you keep him for a while and send his head parts back to us when you make an order next time.

Then we will have him make-up again for free and send him to you again with your package together with no extra charge.

You have our apologies for our suggestion in case of your not satisfaction.

I have to say that I am quite pleased overall with this response. Am I pleased that my doll didn't get made up the way I asked? Of course not. Am I pleased that I'd have to pay to ship a head, insured - AND have him headless - AND wait for them to send him back - for however long it takes them to do this? Of course not. However, I am very pleased that they acknowledged their mistake, and offered to fix it best as they could.

I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with Oliver in general, but I do appreciate that at least they didn't ******** me because THAT... woulda REAALLLY pissed me off.
