1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

LatiDoll Yellow SP 20cm Discussion part 1

Jun 18, 2007

    1. here's Elijah and his BFF Jett

i use some of the Ken doll clothes for them, the flip-flops are a perfect fit for the feet

    2. :aheartbea Your two boys are gorgeous!! I really want a 20cm boy next. What age? Erm.. maybe in the 6-8 category?

    3. Your boys really are adorable. The Sp bodies are may favorite of all the Lati tinies. I guess I consider mine to be in the 6-8 year range. My reasoning is mostly about the sizes of all the dolls together.

Ciara (Blue Shaina), the tallest girl, is about 17. You can see Dana (Green Coco) is about 2/3 her height and still very immature in figure. So where I had originally thought she was older, when I got her I realized that she's probably 11 at most. Sydney (Yellow Sp Lumi) is still much smaller. Her figure looks a lot like my real daughter who is 5, but big for her age. So she's maybe 6 or 7. Brigit (Yellow Renewal Lami) is probably 4-5, Jenna (White Sp Lily) about 3--she's very tiny, but her limbs are kind of long and she seems pretty stable on her feet (in looks, not in engineering or reality) so maybe just the other side of toddlerhood. Erin (White Arin) is soooo tiny compared to the Blues, but she's not an infant either. Definitely able to stand, so I'm thinking 18 mos.

So the way I look at the age has less to do with looking at the body by itself and figuring out how old it looks and more about looking at my family and dividing up the available age range according to size. Sorry for such a long reasoning, though!

    4. My girls arrived on monday and I did an instant 'wow' when I opened the boxes! They are beautiful and I don't regret getting the Sp. rather that the basic as a huge amount of the Re-ment clothes I have fit them!

I have completely fallen in love with Lea but I'm struggling a bit with Lumi. I'm sure I'll keep her though!

My only problem now is shoes! I've read that both 34mm and 37mm shoes fit and I want some cute little mary janes, but I can't seem to find those heart cut out ones anywhere in 34mm. I might just admit defeat and get 37mm. I've found that the blythe sneakers (loads for sale on Ebay) fit and look really cute. My Lea is wearing some pink polka dot ones now.

Another thing, what size socks should I be looking for? On audrey's dolls they're like size 2, size 0, things like that. I might just make my own though...

In conclusion, I :aheartbea my little girls!

    5. HoneyB, I'm so glad you like your Sps!! Sorry that I'm no help on shoes. We're so pitifully barefoot around here.

    6. Check the Lati Yellow resource thread, there are lots of sources for shoes for the Yellow SP kids:

    7. oo thanks sweetiemom, will have to check that out as i've been at a loss for sp shoes also

and thank you too susan402, ur rationale was appropriately proportionate (pun intended lol) i think those ages are spot-on...and oopsie, my son is still only 8 ROFL *blush*, so i definitely agree w/ 6-8. i consider the renewal yellows to be about 3-5 cause that's how old my girls are

    8. Love Yellow Sp Kids! Hope to adopt one or more.
But Lati changed the hand part of the body... Not happy with.:( Why they did it i don't know. Old was so cute... Fat sweet fingers, so detailed. And what we have now?
      What do you think?
I'm trying so bad to find the girl with old Sp. body... Nothing :...(

    9. You might try putting a "want to buy" notice in the marketplace..

    10. hmmmm, cat777, i think i like the new hands better for girl specials...i think the old ones were good for the boys, but look a bit "manly" for the girls imo

    11. I liked the old ones better for both genders. I agree the new ones look girlier. I just got my new Sp boy today. Unfortunately, the resin is very different from a year and a a half ago and it doesn't look like I can switch the heads. But oh well. My new Sp boy is cute. (Sorry to say that without pics to prove it, but I don't have them yet.)

    12. I went on Ruby Red today and they're starting to do stuff for Yellow Special :D

    13. Oooooh! Thanks for posting that.

    14. Thank you! I'm traing this way :| And haven't result yet. :|
Also asked Lati about and they said that they couldn't do the old hand for me. :(

    15. Hi everybody,
I want to make more clothes for lati yellow sp. and I would be interested in which kind of clothes you prefer for your dolls. hoodies and pants or do you like more cute things like dresses?
It would be very kind of you if you could give me some suggestions.

      thanks a lot :-)
      Lydia

    16. I like jeans with cute floral dresses over the top for my Lea, and hoodies and denim skirts for my Lumi. I'd like to buy little knitted cardigans, long sleeved tops (with slightly too-long sleeves for extra cuteness!) and t-shirts. Oh and socks! Pyjamas, pants....I could go on....

Does anybody know where I can find a fur wig pattern?

My twins, Ellie and Ella. It's a wonder what a year makes, Ella's paleness next to Ellie made me wonder if I'd been sent a white skin doll by mistake, until I looked at Ellie's arrival pictures and remembered she had been paler before.

I think I prefer the old style hands better. While the new ones make dressing easier, the old ones are more babyish cute. Need to get them matching gray eyes though.

    18. They are very sweet together. Are they sisters or just friens? :)

    19. Ellie and Ella are twin sisters. It's fun dressing them in almost matching clothes.

    20. I've made a new hat for my little cutie :-)

:-) aw, latis are pure sugar :-)
