LatiDoll's Blue Line mini (part 2)

Please guys does anyone have any idea's what body may work for Isobel? I really hate the Lati Blue bodies, she can not sit because her knee joints are horrible and her back doesn't bend in any way... also she has man hands I would LOVE a MNF body from Fairyland but I don't think the tan resin will match... any idea's? She NEEDS a new body in 2014, I say it every year but I have to get her one. I am sick of just taking boring head shots of her

 

I have a Lati blue Cara on a Luts Kid Delf body. Both are normal skin and the match is very good, both resin and size. I don’t know if the resin match help you, but no modding was required except for switching the S-hook to a slightly smaller one.

I'm a bit confused what you mean about the body having a man’s hands. The Lati blue body has so slender fingers and her hands are very elegant and detailed. The only hands I have here to compare it to, is an old Iplehouse JID that have very plain hands with thick fingers and almost no details at all, you kind of have to use your imagination to see any fingernails. And then the kid delf body, that have about the same amount of detailing but a lot thicker fingers and more childlike hands. And I don't think I've ever seen any msd-sized hands that are as petite and still so detailed as the Lati hands.
Also she sits just fine. The knees are limited and so is her torso joint, but at least they are sturdy and can sit and stand very well.

Hi, thank you for that info... my Lati is a tan though so I would require a Tan match, I will look in to these bodies & see if they have a tan
Lol, what I mean by man hands is that they are huge & not in proportion to her in my opinion... you can not pose them up near her face as there are no wrist joints. They are no where near as delicate looking as the Minifee hands.
Also I find her knee's really bad as basically she doesn't have any lol... no knee joints so when they bend her legs basically split in two, if I am making sense... for me she can only sit if her legs are handing over a chair or something otherwise her torso leans too far back and she topples over... I just find her posing is completely limited... I am basically comparing her to the gorgeous pose-ability of MNF's...
But each to their own, her body just bugs me ;p

 

Well, that's not really a fair comparison. There are quite a few years of development between the Lati body and the minifee, and they are not exactly the same type of body. They don't have the same type of joints. And they are not even in the same price range.

The hands are still the smallest I have seen in and MSD without them being less detailed and they are way smaller proportionally than a humans hands. If you like it or not is, of course, a matter of opinion, but scale-wise her hands really are not big. Human proportions are not a matter of opinion.
"No wrist joints?" Huh? She does have wrist joint as you can clearly see on my photo. They might not have the largest range of mobility, but they certainly are there. And they are very sturdy, as you can see on my photo of her holding the crystal ball.

It might be the language barrier, but what do you mean she doesn't have any knee joints? It is true they basically just have two positions that they can hold unaided, but that is true for a lot of dolls of that type and generation. That might not be good enough for you, but there is no reason to spread lies just because you don't like it. Get something double jointed, next time.
If she had no wrist joints and no knee joints she wouldn't even be considered on topic to this forum.

Why on earth did you buy a lati in the first place if it's not what you want?

This is my shaina again, sitting just fine, unaided on the floor. She is not leaning back, she is not toppling over. Maybe you just have a stringing problem? I remember when first getting her she was very tightly stung and I think she actually fell back sitting once, nearly falling off the shelf she was sitting on. But since I fixed that (she is still tight, but not that tight, and she has better elastics now) it has never happened again.
The body may still not be what you want, but you might have missed some of the dolls potential. Perhaps you can tweak the body you've already paid for so you like it better while looking for a new one? Tan can be tricky to match, but you might be able to find some hands you like better that work scale, and size wise and blush them to match?

 

What about seeing if you could find someone to dye a MNF body the same color as Isobel's head? That may be your best option. There will be a gap in her neck, though, so you may also want to find someone who could mod a MiniFee neck to better fit Yern's lovely little head. I considered doing that with my own Yern hybrid, but I'm pretty satisfied with her DZ body.

I would say maybe ask if DZ tan matches Lati tan, but then again you'll run into the problem of thicker, more childish hands. So that is why I suggest the dying method.

 

Oh my goodness.... is there really a need to speak to me that way? I have had her for over 5years and I adore her face but dislike the body. I think maybe you need to not take everything so serious. I think her body is really annoying. Again MY opinion, perhaps my opinion was too harsh, sorry.
I am hardly "spreading lies", her legs basically do split in two when I try to bend them, it looks silly to me. Yes she is an older MSD, hence why I would like to find her a new body. "Why on earth did I buy a Lati in the first place" (very rude), Like I said I ordered her years ago before I knew a lot about MSD's & I adore her face, it is amazing... now I see so many newer msd's with great posing abilities so I would like to change her head over to one of these bodies. What is wrong with that?? NO mine does not have a separate wrist "joint" it is basically a hand attached to an arm piece... sorry but all I am trying to say is that I would like a new body for her as this one doesn't do what I would like her to do & does anyone have any idea's on what body may work? Not that I need to justify my reason's to you.
And you are saying I am spreading lies, well no I am not.. again, that is my opinion and you say "get something double jointed next time" well YES that is exactly what I am looking for and why I am asking for advice on if anyone knows of a better body that may work for her.

 

Thank you hun, I actually like the way your girl poses, her hands are very cute, especially the little "fist hand". I will look in to the DZ bodies! Getting a MNF body for her sounds like it could be a lot of work.

 

Actually, her hands are MNF hook hands, as I preferred them to the Dollzone hands. xD
Of course, you could always go with that sort of hybrid, too! Either tan the hands if Lati and DZ's tan resin matches, or tan the body and hands.

 

Hiya Lati fans, sorry if this is a silly question, but on their site it says all basic versions of their blue line are 'sold out'. Does anyone know when one can order again for those dolls? I desperately want to get a Cara..

 

It seems like the Lati Blue line has been sold out since late 2011. If I were you, I'd message LatiDoll and ask when they plan to release them again, and if they plan to release them again (which I hope they do). For now, I think buying second-hand is your best option. Sorry.

 

For anyone looking for clothing to fit their gentlemen, I was able to try out the clothing for my friend's Model Delf from Luts and the pants were a great fit! I didn't get to try the long sleeve shirt but the measurements are much closer to the Lati boys than a typical slim msd. Just thought I'd share the information.

I really wish Latidoll would sell the Blue line again...

 

i recently got a cara in a trade. I never bonded with my old one... but this girl is pretty cool. i dont know if she was limited or what, but i dont reconize her faceup. I THINK it is a stock faceup (since the yellows often have the little hearts and stuff painted on their faces) but someone did paint over her old lips (maybe they chipped or something) but it still looks mostly default to me?

She's really pretty! Maybe your Cara started out as this version, or perhaps it's a partial premium faceup?

So, it looks like the way to get them to release the Blue Line again is to go to their message board & post away!

 

I wonder if starting a petition and sending it to them would be better than posting on their message board? A petition would show how many people are interested (or not) in the return of the Blue line.

I always thought the other lines were put on hold (or discontinued in the Red line's case) because the Yellows and Whites sell better. If we could convince them that there is profit to be made with the Blue line, I think they'd bring them back. Just my thoughts.

I can't believe the blue line is no longer stocked I am in love with LATI knees and never got to order one from their webpage.... Both of mine are second hand. It's a shame. Hopefully LATI will release again in the future.

 

It's sad that they've stopped carrying a good majority of their lines. I thought the Green and Black line were doing okay, but Lati has even stopped making those. I think it's still an issue of interest, resin, and the waiting times. I'm hoping one day things will get better and they'll bring back the Blues (and so on).
