1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Lee-el : 90cm Dolls

May 2, 2013

    1. Exactly this. Give them all of the details, dates, the scant communications you've received from the company, the more information, the better. Paypal does say in their customer support FAQ that they review *each* case, so I think it is not unreasonable to for them to give due consideration over a bigger window within which to file a claim over a hand-made artist piece like a BJD.

The downside is that they also say a decision will be made within 30 days, but hopefully you won't have to wait that long. :(

    2. Did you use a credit card via Paypal? If so you can file with your credit card company for a breach of contract; a failure to provide the merchandise you paid for.

    3. I think she could only do it one way or the other or it would amount to fraud on her part.... cuz if they BOTH took the cost off then that's double dipping... and not legal.

And time wise... way to late to do stop payment procedures.

    4. Not much to update at this time. Right now it looks like my claim is closed because it's been more than 180 days since the initial payment. I'm hoping that they'll reconsider, given some of the mitigating factors with this situation, but I'm not holding my breath. It does look like an e-mail has been sent by PayPal to Lee-el, so I'm hoping that gets a result.

I don't want to go all Chicken Little here, but I would strongly advise you to go ahead and fine a dispute or something if you paid through PayPal. I'd hope that Lee-el would see the message from PayPal, get off their asses, and get your order to you, but right now I'd plan for the worst and try to recoup whatever you paid.

    5. I just opened the dispute. Hopefully, it gets me either the doll or the money... MAN. I really want a 90 cm doll and these were my favorites of all the molds I've seen. DANG IT, LEE-EL.

    6. Here's hoping you get the Doll!

    7. These issues make me so sad :( I am in the midst of saving up for a Selena, but if Leel is having lots of issues then I guess I'll have to wait to see if things get sorted out before I place my order. I was hoping to have enough saved up by Feb to order her..... but all these problems are worrying me. I'm not from the US and the dollar in my country is very bad compared to USD, so I will be paying almost $500 extra just because of where I'm from. I work hard and don't wanna lose my money :( I hope things work out for everyone!!

    8. Read the latest posts on this thread... and definitely getting discouraged. :( I thought that they had a modicum of integrity, like most of the BJD companies. :( And it is unfortunate too, since Le-el is the only company offering that kind of size. :( and I was supposed to get a Selena too... but maybe I should wait until they have regularized their services..

overall, that's really too bad... and I hope you guys get your money back..

    9. SQ labs did this to me last year. Just blew me off with no notice. What pisses me off about Paypal is that they just close the dispute. I said if some foreign company is taking off with my money can't you talk to them or look into it. They basically said no, it was past the date so they don't care. They know they got a lock on this stuff so they don't have to.

Too bad about Lee-el. I had Selena on my short list for next year but I'm done with companies that can't even send some canned response to let me know they're still alive. I know there can be translation problems with answering specific questions but they should be able to match my order and send something like "your order is still being made."

    10. This is depressing. I really wanted to get a Livan and Selena as well, but I do not want to find out the hard way that it's just not going to happen. At least no time soon anyway. Really hope you guys get what you ordered soon!

    11. You all need to leave flaky feedback for leeel in the company feedback thread. I was considering getting one but not now.

    12. Already left feedback, but hopefully others will as well so prospective buyers know I'm not odd man out.

    13. If I left feedback, it would be mostly positive, because I sent my money for my suit order, and got the suit in return. No problems.
No communication, but then... I didn't really need it. Not for clothing. A doll? Yes. Clothing, no.
I'm really hoping they cough up the dolls and soon. I really wanted Jacob. And the guitar. And more clothes. :|

    14. Lee-el never responded to my Paypal dispute and my refund it being issued. I suspect that they went out of business completely and aren't checking anything any longer. This is really sad... I still want a 90 cm boy, but I don't know of any outside these and the AoD ones.

    15. Daaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrnnnnnnn! :( :...(
I was really really hoping they were just running slow! Darn darn darn darn!

    16. Oh and I so wanted Chris. Maybe they'll get their selves together or maybe someone else will fill in the gap on large dolls.

    17. Man, I'd be happy with either one of those.
But... darn. I was going to get that guitar one day...

    18. Glad to hear you got your refund. I've not tried to lean on PayPal for any additional help; I think I'm out of luck due to the 180 day time limit, regardless of any other factors.

    19. I have not look at this thread for months and did not know Lee el is having this much problem. I still want to order another boy but now I can't. Customer service was excellent back when they started. I wonder if it's bec. they are not getting a lot of orders so going into debt. Sorry to hear that people are not getting their orders. :(

    20. Oh dear. I’ve been away for a long time, and it’s disheartening to see how things have developed here. I feel sorry for everyone who has had trouble with Lee-el or decided against buying from them. I, too, was in thoughts of purchasing some more stuff from them, but reading this thread here, I don’t feel so courageous anymore. I do hope they will get their act together (unless it’s too late already), because it would be a shame if they dissipated just like that.

In any case, here is my Lee-el boy wishing everyone Merry Christmas!
