Lee-el : 90cm Dolls

Thanks for the help folks! And on that note anyone thinking about buying Edward's suit: it does come with a white shirt even though it doesn't show it in the photo. I asked. They answered. I am impressed.

We are now in pre-buying position with the cc clutched in my paw. So for those of you who already own one of the guys how long is the wait time from ordering to shipping? Anything that you don't like about the product now that you have one? Anyone have any luck finding other clothes for them? How tightly are they strung? I couldn't take Rain's head off if I wanted too (AOD). It would take two body builders he's strung so tight and I'm terrified of hurting him. I don't react well to broken resin people.

And the weird question: does anyone think their heads are slightly too small for the bodies? I have Rain, a 1/2 scale 90cm AOD and his head is 29cm and the Leeel guys are 24.5. The Leeel guys are also 91cm tall, but the rest of their measurements except for waist and hips run about the same as the AOD just a lot less muscle definintion. So that's a size 11 wig for Rain and a 9-10 for the Leeel guys: which in a way is great because buying wigs from anywhere isn't a problem. But I have to wonder if putting these two side by side is going to give the Leeel guy the Tiny Head Syndrome. That would be bad... and funny as all get out if Jacob wasn't going to cost over a grand.

 

madera - I think the wait time is 2 months or less if I remember correctly. Also I buy pants from Lee el, as for top, I got it from Iplehouse. I wish Lee el make more clothes. I do not like the set clothes they have bec. I might like the pants only but not the others. I don't find them to be tightly strung, to me its perfect. I also find them to be well proportion. I think in my opinion that AOD have large head that is why I did not buy from AOD LOL Does AOD make clothes, if so they will fit Lee el then right?

I still can't decide whether I like Jacob or Edward more. Which of these two will fit with my other two boys, decision decision

 

I'm waiting for my Alzad to be shipped - along with the new Jacob clothes (minus the bling).
The heads do look a little small, and the legs a bit overly long, but they look good clothed.
Another option in this size range, is LumeDoll's Usil. I have one of him at home and he is wonderfully proportioned. Makes everyone else look odd, but he's gorgeous. ^__^

I like Jacob. A LOT. If I like Alzad when he gets home, I suspect I'll be in for a Jacob later on!
I like Edward's suit, but the jacket looks like it needs to be just a little bit longer at the bottom. And that kept me from falling all over myself getting one for my Alzad.
I do wish they would split up the outfits a little more. I really like the leather jackets, but not always the pants they're with. I was glad to see the somewhat normal jeans be offered.

 

Chinadoll: I wish AOD made clothes. They apparently did at one time long ago but not now. It's like they don't even care about the 1/2 scale guys anymore. Can't beat the price though which is why I went with AOD Yue to see if I could even deal with a doll that huge. LOVE HIM! For what you pay for one Leeel or LumeDoll you can get two AOD dolls and they include undies, eyes, a wig and a set of shoes or boots with them.

And from what I understand LumeDoll isn't offering seam removal anymore. If I'm paying nearly $1300 for a doll plus the cost of a faceup, there needs to be some seam removing included or avalible on the side at a very low price. And I agree on the clothes. Want normal everyday clothes. Like the blue sweater that it doens't look like they'll be selling by itself. And want some of those set split up too. Love the jacket, hate the pants or don't need all the chains and skulls. I'm not quite sure who Jacob is yet (aside from Rain's friend) but he's not a punk rocker. And maybe the head thing is one of those better seeing in person things because I was worried for a while after I saw Rain's head size. I kept thinking pumpkin head on a stick neck. Then he got here and he's perfect, the head fits the body, and even more amazing are his hands. Put even an 70 cm doll hand in his and it's just whoa... thanks for the heads up on the wait time. That's not bad at all.

Aernath: oh my yes we have the screaming jumping envy thing going over your LumeDoll. Loved him the minute I saw him but the cost and the seam thing stopped me cold so I bought Rain. Cost stopped me on the Leeels too and then they produced Jacob. I am doomed and so is my poor cc. And after looking a second time I see what you mean about Edward's suit. I don't understand the V cuts in the top of the vest. New trend maybe; but then even my goth group of resins are old school. None of that newfangled misery and angst for us, we can brood like we were born in 1899.

Hopefully they have some more clothes on the way. Like two more different colors of that sweater and letting us get it without the suit. Now someone needs to produce a 1/2 scale GIRL!

 

if these guys can fit some iple could stuff like the suit (blue sweater = yes want pls) fit an EID ... yes I know too long but so are all my cloths on me so I get them shortened... why not for a doll too? Also for those of you getting/got Lee-el's AND have EID's... can the Lee-el heads work on an EID body... I seem to recall the necks being similar size and to me these guys seem to have small heads. And I've heard of someone who can 'paint to match any resin ... if needed) and I do have an EID body in need of head ><...

 

I am still trying to figure out how to pay for my order. No info. Did Paypal but got no e mail or anything to complete payment. And I too am hoping for a female! Would be wonderful to have a 1/2 scale! Close enough to one anyway.

At least they have it and the problem is on their end... Have you tried to message them to MAKE SURE they know of the problem? If no one tells them they won't know... you would be surprised how much this can happen...
ex... Iplehouse forgot to 'open/release' an item so I would be able to make the purchase...

 

Yikes. This does not bode well for my future purchase of Jacob. It's bad enough we have to wait months at times for dolls. Don't be messing up at the start by giving us problems with trying to pay for the darn things. It still bothers the daylights out of me that the Paypal logo isn't on their site. It's on 98 percent of every other doll site online. Doesn't make sense because I would think that would be one of the first things a new company would want to proudly display on their website.

 

I'd like to point out... it could be PayPal that is the problem... I've had problems with them of late... and it involved bank accounts, wait times for transactions using bank accounts and the like. And any store would 'need' to have a bank account tied to their PP in order to do business.

For my problem (a transaction that would not 'complete') I had to wait over a month and ended up phoning directly to get the issue resolved... It should have taken 8 days maximum... And this is just in the last 2 months. I even had setting twiddled with for something I don't even have! I'm not able to sell on E-bay but that didn't stop Paypal from mucking with setting O_o. I don't even know 'how' they could do it but I got the notice anyhow that my settings (which I should have had none of) had been changed...

Just saying it might not be all Lee-el's issues...

wow... wonder if it would be 'too' big for my EID?... and when will someone here have one of each so I can find out if the heads of these boys could work with an EID body ><...(seriously the head measure and look... makes me wonder). As fo the top... I am hoping these boys get most of the extra height in the legs...

Everything of theirs is a tad larger. I think the arm length is off.
The shoulder is only 1cm difference so the clothes will sit nicely, but the rest will be big. If you got jackets to tops it would be okay coz you can always push the sleeves up.

Soom used to sell the Mecha Angel girls that were about 80cm tall, but not many people bought them.

 

It seems most of their height goes into the legs instead of being balky in general like the Titan from Granado. It's really good to see more owner pics and box openings of these guys. Thank you for sharing~~
