1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

LeekeWorld DollLeeke D type 26cm discussion part 1

Aug 5, 2005

    1. Whooohoo, my Pumpkin head just arrived... at my boyfriend's home. That means I will see her earliest in 2 weeks (we live 350 km apart b/o studying) *sob*. But I'm really happy that Leeke kept their promised and shipped her this week. By this, I have enough time to see if her resin matches to Soom's creamy white, before Soom's ordering period for bodies ends.

    2. Thanks VampireAngel13 :)

I was really worried about that. Though I would love to know it the what other resin match Leekes. I wish it match little fees cause I going to buy a littlefee shiwoo but fell in love with Chouette.

    3. If you could get an older Chouette off the MP, it should match. Just make sure you're getting the darker, peachish tone instead of the light pinky color. My Bebe head only looks slightly more pink than the FL resin, and that's only because I went crazy with the blush before I got the LTF body for him XD

    4. woo! They shipped fast for you! Unlike me when I got my heads. If their Snow skin is the same as the WS they use for their bunny ears, I can actually tell you tonight if they match or not...I have a Soom Ai head waiting for a body at home....

    5. Yayz for you. Though i'm sorry you gotta wait 2 weeks. Well may it be a quick 2 weeks. But since you still gotta get a body whats the rush right :D

    6. Oh, I'm pretty sure it's the same ws that they are using for the ears. I expect there will be some difference in the skin tone, but even Soom uses different creamy whites for their bodies (there is another thread somewhere which refers to inconsistencies in Soom's resin colors).

    7. My boyfriend just unpacked the Pumpkin head to check if everything is fine. He said that there was some hair inside the box... obviously I got a free wig LOL. I have to say Leeke is really wonderful. They not only shipped before the usual waiting time was over, but they also included a free wig. Wow O_O.

    8. Wow you got a free wig! I had boat loads of hassle with them last year and I didn't get anything extra. It makes me think of a T-Shirt saying "I purchased a doll with Leeke, had to wait for months, and all I got was this doll!" Even still i'd buy from them again just cause I love their products but I was hoping they'd throw in something free since I had had to wait 4 months for my doll and had loads of hassles with getting them to tell me why she was delayed.

    9. I Had tons of trouble with them last year too and never got a thing for free....I actually won't order from them again, especially their wigs, due to multiple problems....but I still adore their dolls. There is nothing wrong with the quality, and I really like all the sculpts.

    10. Yeah so far i've bought through other sources. I bought a Leeke wig thorugh DDE and bought some other stuff through a GO that had no issues at all. What was the issue you had with the wigs? I'm kinda eh with their wigs.

    11. All the Leeke wigs I've had (and it's been many) have...degraded over time. A couple of months after getting my first two Leeke wigs ordered from Leekeworld they had stretched out and the wig caps were showing. The Gold one stained my doll yellow, and while I realize that that happens, it's only ever happened to me with two leeke wigs...Some of them don't fit right causing them not to look anything like their pictures, and I really hate that they use dark flesh colored caps in white, black and white blonde wigs. When the cap shows through (which it did in all the wigs I ever got from them) it's sooo obvious. All of that on top of many ordering and shipping issues and I kind of wrote them off.

I still cling to my Bebe though....and I'm so tempted by their L sizes too....the second i have a character for one I'll be looking for some way to get a hold of it XD

    12. So far, I only bought wigs from Leeke. Pumpkin is the only doll (head ^^) and I'm dying to see her! I also have to say that I'm not fond of their wigs, because of the wig caps showing and hair loss and cap streching. I tried a lot of wig suppliers, but the best (at least for me) is still Monique. I love their variety of wigs and colors and their fiber quality (for a decent price). That reminds me that I have not chosen/bought a wig and eyes for Pumpkin.

    13. Ah I see. I'm used to wigs having loose hairs due to my human size ones shedding sometimes too. But I have that same issues with the wigcap being seen and my other one stretched out too. Luckily only one problem per wig. I've heard about the monique golds but I can never find any that I like. The only seller I know of has very limited styles/colors.

Ah I know VampireAngel13. I'm so tempted by their L sizes. The boys are just so manly :D

    14. Wig hair falling out doesn't bother me either, I don't think most of the Leeke wigs I had really had that issue anyway. One did and it was bad because it was a pigtail style wig and it was just falling apart. Monique are my favorite wigs too. Most of my boys (and my one girl) have monique or Jpop (or fur made by DOA members). They get around my wigcap issues by making it the same color as the wig, which I love.

You can buy from Moniques site too, silentstardust. I had heard some people thought it was just for dealers, but I've done it several times, just one or two at the most! Shipping's not bad at all and they're pretty fast!

Leeke Ls are manly! it's so nice since even the boys I think are manly in my collection seem to look fem to everyone else =_=

babyelf ~ What did you name your Pumpkin? or did you say it already and I miss it XD

    15. I have not named her yet. I think I have to see her first and then think of a name ^^. I'm planning to give a light brown wig and dark brown eyes, making her look a little deer-ish.

    16. I've been looking at pictures of Sweet off their web site and I was just wondering if anyone knew what skin tone she is in the first set of pics (under the heading "default make-up").

Also, I read on another thread that Leekeworld glues their eyes in, is that true? I don't have a problem with it, just curious.

      Thanks! :)

    17. She's probably NS...Their "new" NS is really pale, and they don't usually offer their dolls in WS unless they're LEs or there's an event.
and I don't actually know if the dolls come with eyes glued in or not D:
I got all of mine as heads and bodies separately (which is why I had issues XD) and they apparently don't come with eyes when you do that.

man they have a lot pictures!!

    18. They do hot glue the eyes in but they are no problem to get out. I think it is the NS too. I love the colour of Leeke's NS.

    19. Mine were hotglued and still intact after a year. I ended up liking the color of her eyes and kept them :). But I can tell you they won't be too hard to take out with some patience.

    20. Mine weren't glued in but I ordered my Mint blank so I guess it must be part of the makeup service.
