I sure does look like it's rather special skin tone... right now I'm wondering when I'll order.. probably soon, I am just debating whether to bite the bullet and pay her all at once or just by layaway. I think I'll go with Happy, I just love her smile

 

I finally got some magnets and they arrived today. I can finish up the Soda Ent project.

 

I never ordered with Leeke before.. How long does it take for them to make the doll once you start paying your layaway. Do they start to produce the doll once you have paid or will they start when you half-way through the layaway? I'm just trying to make a decision if I should pay in full or take the layaway.

Also what type of clothing do these gentle bodies take?

 

They start making the doll when you place the order, or at least that's what I assume since the two times I have had a layaway they have shipped within a week of paying off the order. I'd say go the layaway.

As for clothing my twins (only one is on the gentle volume) both wear the same outfit from Anotherspace2. Just standard Yo sized stuff - it is a bit baggy at the waist but that's how I like it.

Thank you Elsii wow your Mint is so cute I really think I will go with Happy. Now to decide if the Fantasy parts will be all white or the semi-transparent... off to go see Ent arrival pictures to make a decision And it's good to know that Yo SD will fit I do have the 3rd Volks pattern they have a little fantasy dress I could alter.

EDIT: I ordered my doll today now to pay her up with the layaway and wait for her to come home

Awww!! I almost got a Mint too when first starting out as well as many other dolls, but went to Dollmore instead. I love my Yo, but I think one is all I can handle.

 

lol, well they do tend to gang up on you Cheeky wee things they are. I kind of wish I had one of the gentle ent bodies for my Mint now that I have seen the differences in all the bodies, but I don't think I will ever change her.

I'm glad I waited really for this body, as I wasn't a huge fan of the chubby YOSD bodies at all. Plus, the Ent body is very cheap yet well-made. I love it!

Hi thread newbie here - I was wondering if anyone could tell me the neck size of the D-type heads? I'm looking to hybrid but I can't find the measurements anywhere

Also how well do you feel the leeke bodies pose (2nd and 3rd type)?

3rd type wasn't too bad IMO. It was really cute, had double joints, stood like a rock and sat in cute positions. But it didn't match my Bebe head at all (as Bebe is the old resin), and I sold it with the head it came with.

If you're a fan of blushing heads to match LTF is a great alternative to Leeke bodies. But they don't even remotely match...

Since we're talking hybrids


The biggest problem I would have had with it (except mine was a Chibi version of L from Deathnote and had all of one outfit) was clothing...they're a little pear-shaped...pretty chunky in the hips/butt and I had issues with pants. I'm sure if it was a girl, clothes wouldn't be as big an issue.

I never owned a type 2, but from I could tell they're taller and less pear-shaped??

 

I really like my Type 3 body. It stands and sits well, and in the "Touch your toes" contest I was having between my tinies (Soom, Leeke, Bambicrony and Volks), it could even do it without a waist joint! (Soom was the only body that couldn't)

They are slightly fatter in the hips than Volks so as VampireAngel13 said, they can be hard to get pants to fit. But I haven't had a problem with stretchy things like leggings or tights.
