It is very quiet! We should liven things up a bit! Here is my Leeke D Tori, Jacques, with my Honey Delf, Clarice. I haven't done much with him yet, but I have many plans!!
*whispers* Very quiet xD almaxaquotal: *wavess* hihi ^.^ I have a Leeke Chouette hybrid, put the head on a LTF body for better posability, really didn't like the Leeke body untill I met almaxaquotal's Jacques and realised it wasn't so bad, but still I'm really happy with the littlefee body (besides the resin match xD) so intruducing Fly, though a wip, he will be a labrat of hybridised insect and human DNA (hence the name) and an aspiring j-rocker / Visual-Kei (hence being shown here with The GazettE ^.^) ^.^; not the best photo, but it's cute

I wish they matched resin better but they don't match well. I have a friend who has a Leeke-D head on a Bambicrony BC Peach puff skin body. It matches really well! I'm most definitely saving up for a BC body for Valerie now so that she can fit more clothing and pose more Valerie in her new outfit playing with Akari (LTF Bisou) ^o^
Shibito - Hi back!! I'm glad to see his body has arrived He is looking good! The Leeke D body isn't *too* bad, its not quite as posable due to lack of torso joint, but I really like the shape and its certainly sturdy. I got Jacques' pink eyes today He is coming together! I'm sure he and Fly will be good friends (Hehe funny you should mention The Gazette - I have a plushie of Aoi sitting next to me that is almost finished He is a commission - pics will be on my DA soon if you want to see ;p) Pokebattles - I love his little smile... and I think he has more expression with the new eyes. I haven't made his outfit yet but I will post more pictures when he is 'complete' And your girls are adorable. Yay for strawberry hoodies!!
hehe, isn't hee *snuggles* .. *cough*. Yush, posing isn't bad, just that no-torso joint thing ...and the want of a littlefee *has kept the head back to get faceplate for* xD. Oh awsome, you'll have to put a picture up ^.^! should go well with Fly, his are light purple *.* hehe, I'm sure they'll be good friends too, ^.^ though, Fly's mute, so conversation will be ..interesting XD I tend to focus more on the music than the people behind it, but have become muchly interested in the visual-kei style, will stalk your DA for him >D
I just posted some pic spam of Jacques here if you would like to have a look - they are much better pictures than the ones above I like his pink eyes! They photograph really nicely but they don't fit too well in his sockets (maybe should have gone for the Soom silicone after all...) grr he is such a challenge, everything with Clarice just fit together perfectly, I can tell he is going to fight me... which means I'll prob end up loving him even more
I finally got my Mint the other day, she is so cute! I was surprised at how good the body is, after all the talk about people wanting replacement bodies I thought she would be useless. But she came strung perfectly, and is far easier to pose than my Bambicronies and Soom tinies. The only time I use the torso joint in those dolls is to steady them, but the leeke body seems to be better balanced anyway, so it hasn't been an issue.
I agree the Leeke body is very steady and well balanced - once my boy stands, there is no way he will fall. And I've also got him to stand firmly on one foot The biggest issue I have is that one knee clicks into place and holds, but the other one kicks back automatically. Can make posing difficult. Also there is lots of spare elastic knotted up in his head, which stops the S hook sitting properly so posing his head can be difficult, but I'm sure someone can easily fix that up for me.
imma happy to move it ionto his chest for you at next meet =) Took Fly to a meetup today, he got hold of a guitar .. (will throw up pic when taken them off camera xd) but just adds to his visual-kei-ness XD
Welcome elsii. The bodies are very stable. Which one of them are you thinking of getting? The only differences between the one and three body is in the elbows and the knees which got double jointed. I don't think there are any pics showing the one and three side by side with different poses though.
I'm surprised ppl have had luck getting theirs to stand. My girl stood only once the first time I got her and now she won't stand at all. Well she is very tightly strung so I do need to possibly restring her. Actually i'm stretching her in hopes that she will stand. So far it is working.
Hey thanks Calliope ^_^ I'll be getting Mint with body type 3 I am thinking. Does Leekworld have many sales or is it generally extras like wigs and such? I just know it would be my luck to order right before a sale.
I'm waiting to see a Tiny irl, I really love her look but would like to see real life pics - has anyone seen one? It's impossible to search for her on here, if you put in 'Tiny' you get thousands lol!
I have two bambicrony bodies that have constant kicky legs and arms, and you have to play with them for a bit to get them to stand right, so one leg I have to force into place isn't really an issue to me. XD I got the 3rd body, which I quite like. She's getting painted next week, so once her faceup is done I'll take pics.
Actually this happened to me last year. I ordered my doll and 20 days later SALE! But observing Leeke over the past year it doesn't seem to happen often. If they do decide to do the same one again it won't be until June. So if you don't want to wait that long to see if they do it again then i'd just get your doll. Plus faceups have a way of being harder to dry during the summer months when the humidity is up. It also seems that they don't do the same things all the time. Like my doll only comes out every 3 years or so. So there's a possibility that sale i saw last year might not even happen this year. I also have a 3rd body and love it. It's so poseable. And if you read my previous comment about mine not standing right it has nothing to do with the body itself. Just the straing because it's too tight, but it can be fixed if i relax her knot some.
