Leekeworld [Limited Edition] Juwel and Croom Ent discussion

Apr 21, 2011

    1. I'm going to be sad if Croom costs that much. I know there's no way I'd ever be able to afford a doll that costs that much money. Heck, I'm having a hard time trying to convince myself to get a doll that's around $700.

    2. I agree Edward, however, I have a feeling that the Croom will cost more than Juwel :(

    3. Yeah I don't think my husband realize just how much he could be... though he says he wants him no matter what. haha We'll see once he sees the price.

    4. To be honest if the parts are done well enough and Croom is a good large SD size I would really not be surprised if he's around the $1200-$1600 mark.... even up to the $2k mark. However, I'm hoping for less =^-^= . Either way, mostly hoping THIS time that the end result will be closer to the concept art...no shiny pearly pink and purple please :doh

    5. Yeah, I just saw that she's offered in PureRose. Decisions, decisions. I'm tending towards getting her though. She's $654 with face-up, basic dress (I love that outfit) and wig, which isn't too bad for a doll with 2 heads. LOL.

    6. HobbySue: I was thinking the same thing... shes very tempting, esp because they DO offer layaway.. I really just love the body. The face isnt break taking (dont get me wrong, i think shes pretty), but that body... its really something else and more realistic imo.

    7. Well, I just priced Juwel with the fantasy parts and the armour, both with blushing and I get $1150, so I guess she's not too bad. I'm fortunate that I don't like the fantasy parts. Personally, I'd hate to try and do the blushing myself so that would have to be part of the cost. The Souldoll Centaur started at $850 so I'm guessing Leekeworld's would be around the same. I think the price goes up a lot when you add the extras ie do you want the human parts as well? Personally, I'd rather mine remained a Centaur. My problem is that the Centaur never appears the same as the drawings. I like the masculine look of the Leekeworld Centaur, but Souldoll's drawings looked great as well. What they gave was an anorexic horse though. I'm scared that Leekeworld's will look the same. Soom's Centaurs weren't bad, but again the horse appeared stumpy in comparison to the body. I love the look of the Leekeworld Stallion with the huge hooves etc. Leeke give a 120 day layaway and 4 payments so that does stretch things out a little, but if he's over $1000, it's still a big hit. I'm looking at Croom and wondering how they will break down the parts. He's got a bit of armour - armbands, head gear, spear, but the Centaur parts look quite detailed. I'd love if he's as chunky as he appears in the drawing, but at the same time, I'm gearing myself for him to look whimpy.

    8. I'd be sad if he looked wimpy and anorexic. I also REALLY hope they wait until the end of the year to release him. It would give us all more time to save for him and give them more time to make him kick ass. I personally don't really care about having a human body for him as I'd keep him as a centaur. Let's hope they don't do what they did with Juwel and make him a basic with human body and THEN we have to buy the fantasy parts. It would be nice to have him as the centaur and if we wanted the human body, pay extra for that one.

    9. I'm hoping that he'll be a Centaur as well, I'd rather have the option to buy the human body. I've asked on the Q&A when they're thinking of releasing him. I'm hoping that it won't be at the end of June seeing as there's a special project doll due to be released then. I'd like some space between dolls as well.

    10. Especially considering how MUCH Juwel is people will definitely need some time to "recover"... especially since we just had the ents and the LE Fly and... yeah... Give us some time to catch up Leekeworld! :eusa_pray

    11. Well, I asked and as per usual, they told me that they have no idea when they will be releasing Croom. I guess so if you do want to get him, then it won't stop you purchasing Juwel in the meantime...... Hard decision to make. I probably won't be able to afford both.

    12. Good to hear. When I'd asked originally back when the concept art was released for Juwel and Croom they were saying towards the end of the year for Croom. October / November wouldn't be too bad... but as soon as December hits I know I won't have a chance (Christmas & family Christmas holidays eat all my money then).
I'm also hoping he's released as the Ent Centaur version with human body option rather than the other way around. Affording him will be interesting enough without being forced to buy a human doll body just to have a chance at the Enty bits.

    13. I love that you called them "Enty bits" JenKat! I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed that the human body is extra and NOT the Enty body.

As for Juwel, I'm still flip flopping with her. Ugh! It's like every other day I hate her and then the other days I want her so bad! Just to get her and the fantasy parts and armor is $950 and two pairs of eyes makes is $980 before shipping. Maybe if I can get this second job I applied for, all of the money from that job could go towards dolls and I wouldn't have to flip flop so much. Or maybe Leeke can just stop releasing an awesome doll every month and give people a few weeks to catch their breath and pay off dolls before tempting us with more.

    14. ZombieEdward, EMS would be free if you're over $350 worth of Leeke items. (if im not wrong = ) )

    15. You aren't wrong, over $350, shipping is free, so even a Juwel with none of the 'trimmings' should be the cost on the site. :)

      .hlp

    16. I'm flipflopping about her as well, but my problem is that my youngest is sick and I don't know if I want to commit myself to a layaway until I know what is wrong with her. Sigh.

    17. I had no idea about the shipping. You guys are no help on keeping me from spending my money I swear! :D I'm glad i have until the end of the month to make my final decision.

I hope your baby gets better soon HobbeySue!

    18. I was curious and asked Leeke if you got the premium membership, could you get Juwel as your gift doll provided you paid the extra $50 and they said yes. I don't know how you would get the extra parts though. I'd like to get the premium membership as there are a couple of wigs I'd really like plus eventually I want Florence and it'd be nice to save 5% on her.

    19. Hmm... Is it just me, or does Juwel look a little like an older version of Mikhaila? :sweat

    20. Megpie252 - I've said that twice already! x'D No one seems to read that sentence *sob* :P But yeah... I think Juwel looks alot like an older Mikhaila x'D
