1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Leekeworld [Limited Edition] Juwel and Croom Ent discussion

Apr 21, 2011

    1. The additional sketches are looking interesting, along with the progress pics on Croom's fists.
I'm really hoping no translucent resin this time around, or if any just small details and not entire portions of the body. However, there's always the chance they could do as they did with the tiny entaurs & give people the option of either translucent or solid resin for parts.

    2. That would be nice. I'm currently paying off two layaways but I figure that at least I've got the option of buying him later with my membership as long as they'll allow me to pay him off on layaway still.

    3. They've added pictures of his face and helmet thingie. I'm positively surprised. I actually love that face.

    4. I don't think it is so much nobody bought her as nobody bought her within the English speaking doll community that is DoA. She might have sold well in her native Korea or elsewhere in Asia but we would not know that as those communities are separate from ours. Unfortunately this extends to image sites as well. I am sure there are various Asian picture sharing sites but since I don't know the names of them or how Juwel Ent would be written in Korean or Japanese or Chinese. This is also going to make finding one on the second hand market once I hopefully start working in my major after I graduate difficult if not impossible.

I found someone on Tumblr that claims to have ordered her but hadn't posted any pics yet.

    5. So do I. I was a bit iffy on how he'd look given I didn't like how the last ents turned out compared to the sketches -- but I've been keeping an eye on the project page for the last few months and god, I adore his face. It's amazing. I hope the rest of him is as nice looking as what they've got up so far. If so I think I'll definitely be ordering him

    6. I hope so as well. I just asked my hubby if he would be fine with me getting an extremely early xmas and birthday present. I quite like his face, it looks a bit younger than I was expecting. I think I imagined a Lionel style head, but probably once he gets a face-up, he'll look older, plus once all the parts go on him, he'll look fairly different.

Hmmm, his helmet is up. I really like it. His face looks older now.

    7. Well, two more days until we find out if Croom is the April project doll. I'm really hoping that he is.

    8. He had better bloody be! For your sake, Sue.

    9. I'll hate it if he is...I really can't afford him right now! :doh

    10. At least if you miss him now, you may be able to get him later on with a membership. I'm scared to purchase/do anything until I find out how much he'll cost. I've paid off my credit card a little, but even so, I don't know if I can afford a $1200 doll at present. I'll be interested to see how they break up the enty bits. Perhaps I won't like him, in which case, I may even get a couple of D sized dolls with my membership or a D centaur. They were cute. I'm half hoping that I won't like him and scared that I'll really love him. It would be have been good in a way if the face hadn't had any appeal.

Elsii - tired of me whinging about when he's going to appear at the meet-ups? LOL.

    11. Hehehe...picked a bad time to quit my job to go back to doing my own work :sweat Good for me, bad for my doll-wallet...at least for the moment (as I keep trying to convince myself).
True about membership, though. It's always an option:)
I've been hoping too that for some reason I really won't like him. Unfortunately as it is already I'm loving the enty-twig-helmet and finding his head sculpt really interesting so really hoping for something that will really turn me off him:doh

    12. Well, not looking like Croom yet this month either. Guess we'll be waiting a little longer to see how things turn out.

    13. Well I'm in this room just to see if Hobbysue is going to swear.

No Croom, just a duck girl.

      Waiting ....

    14. Well.. The bird girl is a gift thing (As far as I can see) so Croom still might pop up..?

    15. If he doesn't I still want to see if Hobbysue is going to swear

    16. Oh well, for me, the closer his release is to September the more likely I might be able to beg hubby for him as a birthday gift this year :sneakyTeehee. :aangel:

    17. It's pretty much the funnest part! LOL sorry Sue we're not sadist, we swear.
I was all settled in for a giant resin doom man and ... a nappy wearing, flipper footed, two winged baby appears instead. Oh Leeke.

    18. Oh? is that a fact, Leeke? We shall see!

    19. Ooh, finally, I'm curious to see what he'll look like as a finished product. :O

    20. hmm I'm glad he'll be released at the end of this month. I may actually be able to swing him on layaway providing I pay some of my others off before then. Though, that said, I'll still have two rather large ones going. >.<;;; Darn it. I might have to miss him if he's come up this fast.
