1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Leekeworld [Limited Edition] Juwel and Croom Ent discussion

Apr 21, 2011

    1. Omg you guys, This doll is going to be gorgeous! I wonder how much they will charge for him, i really want him x.x Judging by how much Juwel went for, I'm guessing like 1000 for a full set x.x Sighhh

    2. Well, guess it's the 1st time they've officially given a date for Croom....so I guess we see what happens none-the-less.

    3. Well, I spent last week hobbling around with a wrenched knee, but I still found time to swear privately at the duck creature. Honestly Leeke...... We're expecting and Centaur and get the duck thing....... No comparison.

I'm going to have to check my membership to see when it expires. If Croom takes any longer I'm going to have to order another doll instead. I think it was possibly July, I hope so. It gives me a little more time to think about Croom. Thank goodness there is mother's day coming up, more money to spend.

    4. Well I just went and looked and found out my membership expires on the 8th June - that's how long I've been waiting for Croom, and when I emailed Leekeworld, they still can't give any details on pricing. I wouldn't care if we can't share, but I'm a little annoyed because I thought membership was supposed to give you a heads-up on upcoming dolls. Nope.

At this stage, I'm pretty fed up with waiting and Croom is going to have to be stunning and in perfect proportion for me to want him. I also tend to wonder whether after all the drama they appear to have had with releasing him whether he's going to be worth the money. The legs look great and one of the reasons why I was drawn to the sculpt was because of the chunkiness, but I'm wondering if they've been morphed into twig legs instead? I was looking at the Entaur and the legs look pretty tiny. I went back and looked at the sketches of Croom and it appears that they seem to have shrunk the dimensions of the legs overall even in their sketches. They seem to have before and after sketches when you look. I want the gigantic butch centaur they sketched, not his adolescent kid brother. Ok, the duck gal has me grumpy. Seriously, she's wearing a nappy.....

    5. Holy moly! That is a long time. I can see how the risk may be for disappointment after such a long time, Sue, but hopefully you can be genuinely pleased with him.

I wonder if he will be wearing a nappy too...

    6. What's he going to do cr*p twigs?

I think the anticipation is finally getting to you Hobbysue. Only 3 more weeks and you finally get to see if the waits been worth it. I pretty much know that no matter how awesome he is I can't afford him now anyway. Then again I can always renew my membership when it runs out and get him then.

No, bad Dana, no more dolls!!

    7. ROFLMAO. I know, but I really want a butch Centaur. I'm hoping he's going to be great. If not, I'm trying to decide between Noella and maybe 2 limited D dolls like Soda and Rory for my membership points instead. Sigh. I wish they'd at least give us another preview picture soon.

    8. That'd be nice but I wouldn't hold your breath or anything

I'd really love to see a nice beefy centaur as well. It's so disappointing to look at the big Soom centaurs and then go outside and look at our Clydesdale and think, "Gee they're puny".

Just sitting waiting for ebay auctions to end to see if I can buy another doll. Stupid person asked a question 5 minutes before an item ended. Lucky I happened to be at the computer. Bloody idiots

    9. Woah! He looks so cool!! *Д*
It looks like they stayed pretty close to the concept art too~

    10. Oh my god Hobbysue your wait is nearly over.

Do you like what you see so far?

    11. I'm kinda meh at present. But I had a migraine on Monday so the weeks been kinda a write-off. The centaur body looks more like a deer than a horse to me. I'd like a Clydesdale looking centaur. Feed da horses!!! His face is nice but I preferred the twig helmet I saw to the wig he's wearing now.

    12. Well, for what it's worth, the little icon on the product page does look more like the horned helm shown in the concept drawings. So hopefully he's just not wearing it in the teasers they've got up so far, but it'll be there.

I do actually like how the wig came out. Unfortunately, his face is a bit "prettier" than I'd hoped. From his concept images, I was hoping for a big, square-jawed "manlyman" type. xD

Edit: Ooh! I just realized - and maybe I'm late to the party - but they posted a lot of additional images on the Making Of page than were there originally. Including some of the horned/twig helm! There are also some close-ups of the rough centaur body. Judging by the comparison to the D-type body...this guy is huge. *-*

    13. Oh the blanks on the making of threw me off XD I wonder how long those pictures have been there. Haha.

On a random note I ordered v.4 the little entaur. On a note in comparison to Soom's centaurs Leeke was more realistic with it. Amazing foals can walk XD anyway off topic...

For the helmet thing I never received the little flower hat that the v.4 (I didn't want it so didnt bother) was supposedly suppose to come out with so... maybe the helmet will be a random? -shrug-

I did notice the fail at the manly face. Maybe there are no manly men in the East (joking)? Leeke needs to take a few lessons from the minimees.

    14. Is anyone disappointed about his head? It is just the Khal head that was already released but a bit modified? The centaur thing is not for me, but i've liked the male SD heads leeke have been coming out recently, aswell as the Dd sized Juwel head, so I was hoping for new head sculpt that would be available in human as well. I love the khal sculpt, but yeah, would have liked something new

    15. I've been waiting a year to see these pictures. And, like Hobbysue, I'm a bit meh about him. I wanted instant love when I looked at him, but that hasn't happened yet. I'll have to wait for the official release before I write him off, but right now it's not looking so good.

    16. From what I can see so far, I'm more impressed with Croom than Juwel. I can't wait to see more pictures of this massive man!

    17. I agree with you Anna, by the looks of things far more impressed with Croom than Juwel. I have to admit, though, as lovely as he seems he just isn't what I was hoping for. Will have to see when more pics come up but so far not the "must buy" Entaur I was hoping for either after such a long wait. Guess part of me was hoping for a beefier boy...but got to remember, that's just not Leeke's style.
Now if he were something closer to a Soom Idealian or big muscular MegaGem style Entaur or Centaur (hint hint Soom) then I would be completely smitten.

    18. I find it intriguing how very closely his face resembles Impldoll Triton, who of course is off-topic. ;)

Am very much looking forward to seeing the full thing though.

    19. It's funny you mention that, Baakay, as I was thinking the same thing!:sweat I was trying to think of what exactly it was that was turning me off him and that was it (not a big Impl sculpt fan at all).
