Leekeworld [Limited Edition] Juwel and Croom Ent discussion

After a year of waiting.....and i'm pretty sad. He's still looking pretty scrawny and his face is so childlike! I'm tired of imature looking faces on big dolls. I wanted and was hoping for huge manly Entaur! I hope the rest of the pics look better. I REALLY wanted him to be daddy to my girls.

 

I was so totally seeing this since I saw the first sculpt pics of Croom. Glad I'm not the only one, haha!

I am totally underwhelmed.

I was playing around with my Khal the other day and I have to say I was disappointed that from the side view his chest is so flat. I didn't get that from the photos at the time. I've decided that he needs a puffy pirateshirt to cover his pancake chest. Croom has the same problem I'm afraid. His proportions to the entaur body are just totally off. The blushing isn't doing it for me either. I wouldn't mind getting hold of his entaur body and shoving a mega gem or something like that on top and blushing him with browns and greens.

A dread wig would have been nice as well instead of the insect cocoons hanging from his head. I've got Triton as well so yeah, I've already got the molded goatee and cheek bits

 

Ugh! So much sadness! At this point, I don't even know if I like the Entaur body, it seems scrawnier than the original. If it fits with a more muscular top, I might put him on a long layaway just to have the Ent parts 'cause I do like the arms and spear/staff.

 

I was like what the **** when I saw the final photos. But then I played around in Photoshop and I love him now and just has to hav him. He has potential under all those weird colours.

 

He does indeed! The blue was completely turning me off but he looks very much more appealing in natural tones. Nice job!

I am seriously in love with his HANDS, of all things.

I look at him now and see a minifee Shiwoo, Impl Harley and Triton and one of the Soom centaurs tossed in a mixing bowl. I actually like all of these concepts but am not convinced that they all work combined into one piece.

 

Your photochop skillz are definitely going to make me put him on layaway Nathalye! Then I'll still have to find a manlier upper body and head for him.

I'm hoping he won't be all that expensive so I can afford him. Or ridiculusly expensive so that I HAVE to stop thinking about him.

 

He's... interesting. I definitely like Nathalye's version better, though. I'm really curious how much he's going to cost!

Thanks Nathalye that looks so much better. Fairies can go get coloured like pretty flowers but big tree men should be rough and natural (sounds a bit odd but you know what I mean)

 

Actually, I held off looking at him for a while, but when I went back, either my computer wasn't working at first or they loaded up more pictures. One thing I will say is that Leekeworld appear to have gotten the Centaur proportions right in my book. I like the scale of the body on the horse bits compared to the whimpy anorexic horses that I've seen so far. Most have seemed closer to ponies than horses. I'm warming up to horse body. The deer leg effect appears to have been caused by the dark background and the hooves being painted dark. I think in person he'll be very dramatic. A lot like the Soom legs where you don't get an idea of size until you unpack the box and go 'whoa'. They should probably have posed one of their SD girls beside him to give an idea of his size but the D body in the making story helps.

I'm still Meh on the boyish head, but that's ok, because I'd be happy to have him with a Mihael head, I think that pouty more serious look would be better. I don't think a Centaur needs to have Elf ears even if he is an ent technically. I was thinking even before I scrolled down this thread that the blue shading was wrong for him. Definitely more woodsy colouring needed. I'm hoping they offer similar to what Nathalye has photoshopped, they did offer an Entaur with woodsy colouring. Overall, I think it will depend on his pricing. He's not a must-have yet, more of a might have. At least I'd get a $500 discount due to my still not having chosen a membership gift doll.

Agree, agree, agree. And now I'm having to kick myself for not paying ATTENTION because I just went back to look at him again and to see what the duck girl was (*giggle*) and stumbled across last year's tan Smith. OMG. I would have had him in a nanosecond if I'd seen him. ("and your point would be, Kay?") He's got that square-jawed "something different" look that I could totally see on the c-ent-aur body. I think.

But it seems they don't have his basic version or a lone head available any more. I weep. I'd have sprung for Mr. Croom and swapped heads.

 

If you buy a membership, you can get any doll with it, so you could get Croom now, and have Smith as your gift doll. If you get the membership before purchasing Croom you'll get 5% off his base price (the extras don't seem to get reduced with the specials unlike the basic dolls). Can I enable or what?

Any doll? Even Ent Juwell? Hmmm....you know I really don't need a car.

 

You can get ANY L size or 2 x D size dolls - BUT if the original doll ie Leekeworld Ent Juwell cost extra, you would have to pay the extra and I'm not sure if they're willing to remake the fantasy bits? You'd probably have to ask them. Juwell with all the fantasy parts was over $1000.

Car? No, of course you don't NEED it. Noodles never get old either, not with all the range of flavours there are now.
