    1. My Soda Ent: A WiP

      Details:
LW Gentle Volume D Body in NS
LW Soda Ent Head in NS
The wigs a Keeper but going to change the eyes
I got the Head at a local Meet. The body I ordered from LW on 1/8 and it arrived 1/18. I was
      very surprised.
However, I was hoping it would have the magnets on the shoulder blades pre installed, like the other Ent bodies,
But no..it looks like I'm going to have to figure out how to do it

    2. She's looking great Maudib. I love her pose. I'm looking forward to seeing how she poses in comparison to my LTF. How do you find her hands? For me, they seem just a tiny bit big as they are the same hands that they use on Mikhaila. But then, I seem to have a hang-up with hands on yosds.

Exciting news for me! My girl is in the UK! Now I just need to wait with baited breath to find out if customs has caught her. Seeing as she entered the UK two days ago, it's not looking good.

    3. The hands are kinda distractingly big.
Being the same size as Mikhaila hands , I'm not sure. I do have two Art bodies for the big head dolls Florence and clarice. Their hands are a little bit bigger than this D body's hands

And Yes.I agree..LOL....YOSD hands are kinda off to me too

    4. I'm in the process of doing posability mods to my ent's wrists, because the ball is attached to the arm rather than the hand their hands have limited posing straight from the company. As for the size, they look proportional when she's wearing long sleeves. Which may have been what they were going for? But they are a little large when she's bare-armed.

ETA: Maudib, do you mean that there are no magnets but there are the little round holes where the magnets should go, or is the back just flat?

The ent I got came with the magnets in a spare pack, so you had to glue them all in yourself, but she had indents in her back to put the magnets in. I'm just curious if the regular gentle d body has those spots for the magnets or not.

    5. Maudib, I hadn't got my ent when I made the comparison to the hands, they just looked like the same mould and size. Is your girl wearing LK wig WD-037? I have the same one in Misty but it looks really greasy at the bag. I was wondering whether to wash it or if I should leave it as it is.

DeadLegato, let us know how you get on with the mods to her wrist joint.

My ent has arrived! I've just collected her from the post office. I won't have time to play with her till Monday but then I hope to be able to share photos with you all.

Quick question, what type of glue should I use for the magnets? I'd like to know if the new gentle body has spots for the magnets too as I was hoping to get one at some point for the spare ent wings I have.

    6. Super glue is best. If you make a mistake, you can freeze it and pop it out later. Hot glue isn't strong enough.
I like to mark the sides of the magnets that should be facing away from each other with a colored pencil, so I know I glue the colored pencil side down to have the magnets attract one another.

    7. On the gentlE Volume D Body. There are no magnets on the shoulder blades. There isn't even a crater on the shoulder blades to place the magnets. They look like normal solder blades.

So I'm contemplating creating the pockets for the magnets or placing them inside the body

    8. Ah! They must have sculpted an alternative version without the magnet slots for general release.

    9. Drat, that changes my plans then.
I hadn't realised you needed to glue the magnets into the head as well. Thanks for the tip Deadlegato.

    10. Hmm, the superglue doesn't hold. So either I've not left it in for long enough or I need to try something else - any suggestions. There is some glue residue from when the previous owner glued them in, so I wonder if that is hindering it. Any idea on how I would get rid of it other than scraping it out?

    11. Smudge, How long did you let the glue cure? I use gap filler superglue (Zap a Gap) for all of my fantasy parts on dolls, and while it initially sets up in just a few minutes, I try to give it at least five hours before I try putting the parts on to make sure that the magnets won't pull out.

As for getting the glue out, you might try dipping a q-tip in nail polish remover and swabbing very lightly inside the cavity to try and dissolve the glue. Once you're done make sure to wash it out to keep the nail polish remover from setting into the resin.

    12. I did the superglue thing, but with the glue on the magnet part then stuck it down into the cavity and let it rest overnight. A little superglue goes a long way if done this way.
But, changing topics---which customizers do awesome fantasy blushing?

    13. Thanks. I probably didn't let it set long enough. I have re-glued her. Not that it matters now as she can't stay which I'm heartbroken over.

    14. Wait, she's being rehomed that fast?

    15. Looks like the holes for the magnets were only in the ent event dolls then.

Smudge - you only just got her --- sorry she can't stay
Maudib05 - Love your gal. Can't wait to see her with a faceup
DeadLegato - can't wait to see the new range of wrist motion on your gal.

    16. Gothic and Callipe, sadly yes. I have a bad habit of not opening credit card bills and mine was way over what it should have been - interest too high. So I'm having to clear out to raise funds. Fortunately, she's found a new home already. Here is a photo of her:

    17. smudge - the good thing is that you can almost always find them again in the mp.

The new leeke doll in the ent story (fox I think?) looks very interesting. Looks like her body might also have holes in the back like the original ent bodies for magnets.

    18. Here is the new (and finally 'real') look of my Soda. I really like her now! At least I don't want to get rid of her anymore, as I did a short while ago. For a long time I really hated looking at her; something didn't fit, I think. Either the default blue eyes or the two wigs I tried on her.... now, however, I'm quite satisfied with her. If it wasn't for her posability and her huge hands...

Also, where did you see the fox ent pictures? Are they up somewhere? I searched but couldn't find them.

    19. Aww, your girl looks really lovely, nonaly! The colours really suit her.

As for the Fox, the making of pictures are here.

    20. Introducing Josephine Pember my Leekeworld Soda Ent
I finally found some time and desire to get her done.
      Name History:
I wanted to keep with the Soda theme so i decided to do a combo. Named after Joseph Priestly, the first person To add carbon dioxide to water; and John Pemberton the founder of my favorite soft drink, Coca-Cola.
