1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Lillycat Tinycherry Aglae, Lulu & Colline discussion part 1

Sep 28, 2013

    1. Thanks for the tip SmoteyMote. I have a Nikon Coolpix L830. A decent small camera. I am going to keep trying.

    2. Out of curiosity... Are you switching your camera to macro mode? Macro mode combined with decent lighting should get you pretty clear, un-grainy photographs!

    3. She made that announcement on Facebook.
It sucks. I'd love to see her in two more colors next year. I was nit-picky about Collines preference for crossed legs but gave my girls faceups I love. I can't sell them now, I'm right back where I started - :D

    4. My Colline has shipped! :dance

Thanks for the pics of 6mm eyes, very helpful. I might try that if I can't find any 5mm that I like.

    5. Does anyone know if Blythe, neo Blythe, Pullip, Dal, Middie, or any of those other ones fit Colline? I don't know anything about any of these dolls except that they have small bodies & feet. But there are so many different ones I don't know who's compatible with the BJDs I have.
I think Pullip stuff fits RealFee, so I figure Pullip is one of the larger ones. There seems to be a bunch of different Blythes though.

I'm trying to make my Collines some dresses, but my patience level hasn't been its best lately. And I'm tired of them being naked!

    6. The best fit that I have found is Picco Neemo clothing. Also, Middie blythe, but some of that size is a bit wider around Colline's chest. If a little snap, I just move it.
Here is My Paloma in a dress made for Picco Neemo. The fit is near perfect.

    7. As I lie awake last night pondering how to draft a pattern for Colline's tiny upper body I remembered my Catsy stash!
So, if you're in a pinch for some emergency clothes you can search ebay for what's left of the BRATZ KIDZ stuff.
But obviously due to her hip width, she can only wear certain tops, skirts, and dresses. She won't be able to wear any jeans!
This skirt had a sewn in underwear attachment that [obviously] I had to cut out because of her hips.
It's not the best stuff, but she's not naked anymore.
The shoes are also from ebay, because her feet are so much thicker than Elfdoll tinies, these fit perfectly but not with any kind of socks.

I'm pretty sure these are the KISH RILEY size (they are 1" x 7/16") She has the Kish Riley's listed as 1" x 1/2" (that's a mm difference)

    8. The sad news has been confirmed and remains grim:
I sucked up my pride and messaged Lillycat, practically begging, for a Colline preorder next year. Chloe got back to me saying that "the last two preorders were disappointing." And that they will be focusing on new dolls.
      This sucks!

Pattern drafting (especially for completely inexperienced) is really difficult for this doll. I adore my Collines, I can't believe sales didn't go well! She's very difficult to grab on the secondhand market. I'm still aching for my Blue!

      :...( :...( :...( :...( :...(

    9. If anyone is after a gray, Smotey has hers up in the MP. Sorry she didn't work out for you Smotey. I wish she was blue! :...(

I'm finally getting somewhere with sewing for this girl!!! I hit on something rather easy with the embroidered fabrics I love so much!
So, once again, pattern drafting gets tossed!!! LOL

This girl also gets away with wearing some Pukipuki items, as long as they are tops/dresses.

Here is my Aglae aka Glasha :)
      Finally finished her faceup yesterday.

    11. I love the faceup on your Algae, BlackCat. She's so adorable!

I now have ALL FOUR Collines, which means I have a LOT of work to do!! Three still need faces and I have to buy wig supplies and train myself on that too. *_*

    12. Major congrats on getting them all! :o I only have one in peach skin and she needs a lot of work as well. I'm a bit scared to try her face-up, I've never done anything as tiny as she is, even the DC Beatrice head is bigger. And I want to try and see if I can make clothes for her on my own. I also need to make a wig, but that's probably the least difficult thing to do, haha, just time consuming.

Glasha is looking amazing! Love the face-up and styling.

I only have nude pics of my Colline right now. I did manage to pose her on one leg in different positions! :) She poses like an angel!

    13. Glasha is adorable BlackCat. Pretty eyes.

    14. They are wonderful little posers, they get kicky and floppy after a degree of use though!
I tried hot glue sueding a 60cm doll years ago and that did NOT work out at all, not as easy as everyone claims. So, I'm not about to try on a doll this small. But my pinktan especially needs something - I've had her the longest so she's had the most movement of all of them. I'll probably resort to wiring.
I had some faceups and blushing to remove, but I want to update the thread with another skintone comparison shot. :)

    15. I also find that the more I have posed my Paloma the kickier she has gotten. she stood so well brand new, now I have to maneuver her legs a bit. Still, I would like to have another one sometime.

    16. Ballerina, Rodent, theresa 226
Thank you very much! This is my first faceup on bjd so it means a lot to me :)

I found out when sueding Glasha that using mini-gun (for a more precise glue application) and a round shaped stick really helps. I used the other end of my make up brushes and adjusted the diameter of the handle to the size of the joint. I spread the glue very quickly in a swipe motion and got very thin smooth layer. It was my first time sueding so maybe I am stating the obvious here
      :XD:
Without sueding she was very hard to pose, since her resin is so smooth and also her stringing is probably not tight enough. But with sueding she poses like a champ and since her body is so agile I really enjoy playing with her a lot.

    17. Wow Glasha is Beautiful- Terrific faceup!

I never realized Pico Neemo clothes could fit, I have been using modified Monster High clothes - Thanks for the great tip! :)

    18. I'm giving my Colline a face-up, but can't finish it because it's raining. It is blushed though and it looks alright. So tiny! I also crocheted a tiny poncho for her which turned out pretty well. :) She's eyeless because her face-up isn't finished.

    20. So cute! I love all the in scale stuff surrounding her too. :)

Soooo, I finished my Colline's face-up. Went to give her lashes and they are WAY too big. When the glue dries, I'll cut them to an appropriate size, but I was wondering how you peeps do it? Same as me, with cutting them to size, or is there such a thing as smaller lashes for smaller dolls?
