Lillycat Tinycherry Aglae, Lulu & Colline discussion part 1

Sep 28, 2013

    1. Wow @fairyspit !! I love seeing those two next to each other. Aglae is practically a mini version of the poulpy.

      --

I bought my Algae a few months ago and felt a little uninspired due to her size. I sent her out for a faceup recently to the lovely Darjeeling and she came back today and I am smitten. I read this thread from page one and jotted down all the great clothing and wig ideas! Thanks for everyones input! I will try to get some crochet thread and make something. I have an idea in mind, but I'm not very good at making my own patterns.

Here is a photo of Yvaine. She is a tiny fallen star. I also scooped a turquoise lulu in the last sale that she had, I want to make the two of them best friends >.< Apologies for her baldness and nudity, I'm in the process of finding a wig that I like for her. I also stole her eyes from my Ninon and they match the faceup colors pretty well!

    2. Zora - She's lovely!!

    3. Zora - Wow, very nice! I really like the colors and lashes.

    4. Hello hello !
God I look at all the picture of this thread, all of your dolls are so cute !
Until now I want an Aglae but I also want a Colline so much now >~<
I already have a Lulu that I love and I found that the dress of my An an from Island doll is pretty cute on her, I don't have many clothes for her.

I'm a little sad because I bought green eyes for her but they seem really dark even if alone they are really bright. Is it because of the eyelashes ? Or maybe just because of my room light haha.

    5. She looks positively stunning! Oooh, those shoes are amazing, where did you get those from if I may ask?

The eyes do look dark in that picture, does it look the same on pictures in sunlight? The lashes point down, so that might be a factor, but it doesn't look bad or anything. I think she is darling, even with the dark looking eyes.

    6. You can ask =3 The shoes are from DollyHoly on Etsy They fit perfectly. I have them with the doll when I bought it but I search for Momoko/Azone/Blythe Shoes to find them again.
For other shoes I look at Missblythe also on Esty, RubyRedgalleria and Idollzoo.
I don't buy anything yet but I think many shoes are cute and could fit our little tinies ^ ^.

I will try to take some picture later on sunlight it must be better than my light room ^~^ Thank you so much <3

Edit : Oh have you tips to bend tinies eyelashes ?

    7. Zora she is gorgeous! I wanted to name my daughter Yvaine (I love Stardust) but couldn't convince hubby :)

    8. Oh I'm so excited that someone got the Refrence to her name! It's one of my favorite movies/book to revisit every so often. :D

    9. Brigitte is just lovely. Love her blue eyes with that hair.

    10. Look at that Colline! Your Brigitte is super gorgeous! :D That outfit is stunning, did you make it yourself?

I'm currently redoing my Colline's face-up. The blushing tends to look nice, but it's so easy to overdo the lines on these tiny dolls, wow. I don't want her to look like she went crazy with make-up. :doh

There's also a wig in making. The wigcap is done, now the suri alpaca hair needs brushing, cleaning, etc. But she does need a wig that actually fits, rather than the one I had that needed eye putty to stay on.

I'm also struggling with clothing. She's currently wearing some monster high stuff (and Kelly shoes) that my friend tossed my way. But it's not what I want, so I'll probably have to make it myself!

My Colline with no eyes, no hair, but with blushing and temporary clothes! Can't conitnue her face-up right now because it's rainy!

    11. I just ordered a blue skin lulu and I can't wait to get her!

    12. Ooh exciting! Do show pics once you get her. :) Also, your username is familiar, are you perhaps the person I crocheted the catbug for? :whee:

    13. Haha I am indeed! I haven't been active around here for a long while because of money and life, but I'm excited to be back!

    14. @Rodent thank you! Unfortunately I cannot take credit for making the clothes as they came with her from her original owner - as far as I remember this is a Pico Neemo XS set :) I wanna get more of them in the future as they seem to fit her quite well on the top (I imagine shorts might not work).... Please show us your girl's new face-up when it's done :)

    15. @Rodent I can't wait to see her with her final makeup !

      @kamia I love her smile ! she's so cute <3

    16. I'll probably be going on a Pico Neemo clothing hunt sometime soon. I've since crocheted tiny circle vest and tiny sort of hotpants for my Colline. I'm definitely keeping the cirlce vest, but unsure about the pants. Also, I need you people's help! I've two pairs of shoes right now, I bought a pair following the advice @Lehty gave. And they are so pretty! However.. I'm unsure if they are too big for her or not. I think they are on the edge of being too big, but maybe you peeps can weigh in? I've done a comparison pic. It also has the crocheted stuff and the finished face-up. :) Wig is being made, will probably be finished this saturday!

I really love the boots, and I realise the black mary janes aren't too easy to see here, but my Colline tends to want to stand like that. My friends think they are Kelly shoes, they're plastic. I love the boots, but the Kelly shoes are a bit smaller and probably more in proportion.

@marthakins Yay, how awesome! :D Glad you found your way back and am so excited you're getting a tiny Lillycat too! :)

    17. I absolutely love the boots and shorts together! They're so cute. To me the boots just look oversized in the same way that big boots look on real people.

    18. Rodent So pretty, like boots better, they do not look that big. Maybe if you show them from the side. Also could you show her vest in detail?

    19. I've grown to love the boots as well. They look to me like big boots on humans do too, as was already said. Thanks for the opinions! She now has a wig, but I need to style it and don't have pics of that. The vest is a circular vest, the back looks like this :

(sorry for the butt! Hadn't made the shorts yet at this point)

It's done with finer thread than the shorts and also on 0,9 mm crochet hook.

What kind of eyelashes would you peeps use for the Colline model? The regular eyelashes you can buy are just way too big and look a bit off even when cut. I got a tip from a friend to put the line the lashes are on inside the head rather than on the sockets, I'm going to have to try this. But maybe there are tiny doll lashes available somewhere!
