Limhwa 43cm (Leda & Sujan) Discussion Part 1

She does need to slouch her upper torso joint in order to sit up straight. It doesn't show with clothes, but it does bother me some. Maybe someday I will mod her hips a little so she can sit better.

She stands pretty well, even in her high heeled feet (with the shoes). She doesn't need to slouch to stand. I have stood her up without a stand before and felt pretty confident about it. My girl has some hot glue sueding btw.

I agree about their beauty! I think they are the must beautiful MSDs I've seen if you are looking for relatively realistic bodies.

Does anyone have a photo of their limhwa girl with a Fairyland Minifee? Can you tell me which has the smaller head?

 

Limhwa is smaller at 16.2cm(Wig size 6.5) (from Junky Spot). My immediate reaction was Limhwa. I will try to get a picture later.

 

Thanks, Nancy. I really appreciate it! Any chance you could sneak your Souldoll Vito Elan in there too? I'm considering pairing Limhwa Sujan with a Vito but if her head's too small maybe swapping it for a Minifee head. Not to make things too complicated or anything.

I'm thinking of getting either a Leda or Sujan (I saw a Sujan in person at a meet today) to go with the IH Owen I have on order. Aside from having to decide which of these lovely girls to choose, I'm concerned about the fingers and nails. I've had both a To You Sara and a Do YoSD and loved the delicate hands and feet, but the fingertips and nails on the MSD and SD sizes are rather odd. How do you all deal with them?

 

I've been meaning to sand the ones on my Sujan down. Should be easy enough.

but as for nails,i'm in love with them. I've been meaning to paint them for the longest time just haven't gotten around to doing it. But yeah, they can look a bit awkward at times, you can always swtich them out for another company's hands it just paint the nails (which might help them to look a bit more normal)
I think what's so awkward about them is that the nails look like extensions of the fingers other than just nails so painting them might help separate that.

(I don't know if that makes any sense at all but it does in my head )

 

Thanks annapavot (and did you get your Owen yet - I posted mine in the forum). I hadn't thought about switching out the hands, though considering the detail Limhwa has it would almost seem counterproductive - LOL. I wonder what other skin tones match?

 

No problem! And noo I haven't. I got him with a faceup so I think he'll be here later. I've "calculated" and shouldn't be too too long now. >< -fingerscrossed- Maybe in about a week or two he should be shipped out.
As for hands, i'm not quite sure which resin matches best. I have a Sara Hujoo and I wasn't a fan of her hands so I decided to get new hands from ddollshop annnddd the little elva hands actually match limhwa resin quite well (as far as i can tell in my crappy lit room) and they are more relaxed looking but still have nice nails.

 

Oh, you mean Dreaming Doll? Huh. Well I suppose Emory could give me an idea of skin tone matches, also.

 

Hi all! I'm relatively new here but I do have a Limhwa Sujan coming in and I was wondering if she'd be able to wear a size 7-8 wig? I read somewhere earlier in this thread that her head is about 6.5cm and therefore should take a 6-7 wig, but I was wondering if a 7-8 might look 'wrong' on her. Thanks for any input or reference photos

 

It would probably fit her pretty loosely and want to slide off, unless you've got a silicon cap or velcro or something to hold it on. 6/7 is a good size but 7/8 might look pretty huge on her, like the edges of the wig covering her ears and such. It might depend on the wig, though.

I still love my Leda, Ceridwen, so much. She is so glamorous and photogenic, especially since she has eyelashes now! I just fixed up her resin shoes with a leather sole and a strap to keep them on. Pics soon.
