Limhwa 57 Girls discussion: Half Elf, Human, Eva, Dreaming Half Elf

I just got my shipping notice for my girl~~

Now I'm really excited and afraid at the same time! I hope I will get a good cast... as well as a good face up(not the new eyebrows please ;.; ) and.. customs let her through! xD

 

I got my human girl.... unfortunately her face-up isn't at all what I wanted so I will have to get her redone, I think she just looks ugly like this not at all like her old self.

;.; oh well, it wasn't guaranteed anyway, now I'll just have to wait longer for her to be complete! I regret paying for this face-up though.

PS: thankfully her resin seems perfect!

 

Is it possible to get heads/bodies separately?

 

TIP:

I was so tired of fighting with my Half Elf to pose her. Her rib cage kept on snapping backwards.

Soooo, I took some tacky adhesive putty (I use it to keep their eyes in place also) and put some up under her rib cage in the front and now she stays put. It is removeable also.

Rosy looks best in 14mm eyes, IMO. That is the most realistic. She doesn't have really big eyewells so 16s not only won't show much white, but most won't even fit.

I have a question,
atm im selling one of my dolls.. but everyone wants to Auto Buy her with a layway of 14 days.
But the pre order ends in 10.
So can any one tell me in how many days they want you to pay?
Or if they have a Amount you have to pay in advance and the rest later?

Naiara: I would just PM them about it, they received my payment one day after the orderperiod closed (I promissed I'd make the payment that day) and it wasn't a problem... But I don't know their payment-policy.. I think it's best to ask them personally about your specific situation.

I'm new to this thread. But I have to say... Limhwa half elves are drop-dead gorgeous. I don't typically think about buying a doll without a character already behind it... but I think I know what I'm buying next!
Of course that will take months and months to save up, but still. xD

Gonna make some drawings i think.. of her with different curves..her tattoo's and her faceup ~__~ but i dunt have no time.

Lucky me i have 4-6 weeks to figure something out.

Now that I've made this pants pattern, and tested and approved it, I'm going to make her a whole pile of pants! XD one for every single one of her whimsical moods! maybe open up a commission if there is interrest.

do any of you limhwa owners have trouble with her posing? I seem to strugle more and more with it, she keeps bending over and fall when I try to stand her up, and her hands won't hold any other pose that their natural one and her upperbody always leans towards one side

 

AnnekeKarel- Thank you! That's very sweet of you. Roslyn is my muse and I do feel I have neglected her lately -- everyone really -- as winter is so very unispiring for me. But your Sebeare is just delicious. I love the outfits you've come up with for her. And that sweater is especially great -- my mom knits too, but not for my dolls. I will say though, that she fits quite nicely into those pants -- such a vixen.

Posing is a pain. I think sometimes I have less trouble with my dollshe. If it weren't for the fact that I love my Roslyn and that these Limhwas are so gorgeous she'd have been gone long ago. It takes me so much time to pose her and sometimes I get so flustered I just give up. Roslyn also leans to one side. I've learned to coax her into standing by working around this -- sort of counter balancing her. I did hot glue suede her upper torso and that seemed to help a little. I will say this though, I have more trouble get her into a nice sitting position than I do getting her to stand.

 

I think it's not too hard to pose my girl, don't know if it's because she was my first BJD, but I manage to pose her with some ease... My girl leans to one side too, but sometimes she poses really naturaly because of that... I only have problems with kneeling her... My girl doesn't kneel, and I always have to work hard to find the balance when I try this pose...
