Limhwa 57 Girls discussion: Half Elf, Human, Eva, Dreaming Half Elf

Nov 15, 2007

    1. So it's safe to say that MSC can keep the Pinky White French resin from yellowing?? If I knew that I would have bought as many cans as possible, my poor Roda is French Resin and she has yellowed, but I just can't give her up.

Yunachan-I am surprised that the Urethane is having problems, my Eva is Urethane Normal Beige and her hands don't look like that nor does her seam lines, she is smooth, but could improve in some areas. I hope your doll is taken care of soon.

    2. I got my tan half elf today!!!!
I really LOVE the wrapping paper and bow she came with, I'm keeping them and will probably use the bow with my girl
      Her resin is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
I took some opening pictures but then had to send her off right away for her esthetics.
Thank you so much Limhwa for such a beautiful doll!!!

    3. I had the same problem as Yunachan, my human girl had yellowed so much, it really bugged me =( So I sold her and ordered a human in urethane just now. I hope my urethane girl will turn out okay, Yunachan's story makes me worry!

Also, MSC does not stop it from yellowing, maybe it will yellow less/slower or something. My friend has a limhwa human, fully sealed in msc, and she still yellowed.

    4. The tan resin feels smooth. The seam lines are visible, but not enough to bother me. The girls are perfect. If you are thinking of getting one, you won't be disappointed. They are amazing. I hope to get to work on their face-ups this weekend. I've never had a doll with this skin color so I'm a bit nervous. I have an old tanning Narae 43cm but she is a lot lighter than these girls.

      Thanks,
      Yia

    5. I so want to buy one, but hubby said no more dolls, since I have gone over my limit this year:(, and I'm still hopping around on crutches from my knee surgery, oh well I'll just drool over everyone's instead:)

    6. I love the beautiful tan doll! She's gorgeous

    7. Congrats for everyone who received their beautiful Tan dolls! Well... I wish I had money to buy one too... I just love Limhwa's tan color... it's so warm. ^^-

One day, I dreamt that I bought my girl and she came in tan resin!!! XD I got so scared, yet so stunned with her color that I didn't mind so much ehauhuhuha
      What a funny dream XD

    8. I just recieved my limhwa half elf from the marketplace and i don't know if i have the right to complain since i didn't get it traight from limhwa, but some parts of her body look very much like yunachans limhwa's hands.

Is this common among limhwa urethane dolls? or did i just get a bad batch?

      Ill post pics asap !

    9. Yeah it is more common with the Urethane since the owner is suppose to finish up or polish the remains of any resin over due if you want to call it that, but I don't have too much of it on my Eva's hands like Yunachan's.

    10. It's really that common? I don't think I'll accept it if my limhwa arrives like that =/

    11. Unfortunately it maybe this way since it is not French Resin and the original casts may leave more of a thicker residue that is harder to get rid of once it comes out the mold, but hopefully Catrina will ask the artist if she is having problems with weather and conditions with the resin in the molds first.

    12. I don't really understand your explanations for it. I would like to hear the artist explanation for sending dolls out in such a state.

    13. Solarshensi- That's cool, hopefully Catrina and the artist can explain why the Urethanes are sent out in this condition unlike the French Resin one's.

    14. Well... I would like to know that too... I never saw a doll with such resin state... :/
i had to sand my girls entire body... and it looks better now. I would sand the seam lines too, it just gave me more work to do.

    15. For such an expensive doll... i wish we didnt have to do sand them. :(

    16. Ah well... That's what I said to Dollfair, when I emailed them...
I paid around $750 for this girl... plus shipping. And they came unsanded. I don't mind about the seams, the french resin girls come unsanded too, and their resin is really perfect :/
My friend paid around $739 for a Limited DoT Elf Ducan, plus shipping. But the doll came with perfect resin, limited wig, eyes, make up, limited clothes and an extra pair of hands...
Well, at least the store should send the dolls in a good state of resin.

    17. I agree with Yunachan, if it happened to me I'd at least expect a partial refund for fully body sanding services o_O

    18. I was thinking the same thing ! I should've just bought a supia if i knew their dolls would come like this. :(

    19. I just received my tan urethane Half-Elf & Human and they didn't have anything wrong with them. Before they came and I heard about the problems that the people who ordered in the batch before mine were having, I was concerned. But my tan girls are just as perfect as the French Resin ones I bought last year (I sold them to buy the tan ones).

    20. I had little issue with mano's hand, and yes, he wasn't sanded. But as I remember, Limhwa studio is one woman only, I can imagine how long time it could take to sand every doll. When I got my Saint, he was sanded but he was strung so tight he couldn't sit or take any pose, and he has a chip on his ankle. IMO it is ok to sand your doll. I do like to do it.
Hmm...does Limhwa changed Tan color? It looks different....
