Limhwa ToYou discussion part 1

Ohhh, thanks for the tip on Marley dolls, th1! So far, I've purchased her a few Barbie garments, and I also bought a Sideshow "Blackbeard" figure to strip of his clothes - those will be a bit big for her, but I don't mind. They're more in line with what she should be wearing.

 

Cannot wait to see the outfit on your ToYou... That's part of the fun, finding clothes for these tiny girls!!

I'm still waiting on my girl's clothing to arrive. Sadly, the seller shipped Blackbeard out by UPS, so he won't be here until next week. =(

I just love her sweater dress... where did you get it??

 

I was always on the look out for her to, once there was one and I didn't have the money...next time .......not sure, I am trying to stick to tinier tiny's.

This sweater-dress is made by one girl, who knits for her dolls. This one was knitted for her momoko-doll. But girl decided downsize her doll-clothes collection, and I got the chance to buy something...

 

So cute! The dress is adorable, Zula.

My girl has some clothes, but no top yet, so I don't want to share her because her breasts are showing. ^_^;;

 

And i also want to find this beauty... How much it can cost now fron second market?

 

The only ones I have seen lately went for about $400. or more, about double their original price.

The only question i have why limhwa stoped sell them them? They are popular i think...

 

The explanation I heard is that the artist wanted to make big dolls and just stopped making the little ones. Perhaps if we beg and plead she will change her mind. I want one too, but not for $400+.

 

Once i asked about restocking the doll. I have no answer till now. It was on Jan 2008. I was late to order from the factory for two months or so

 

I think there were only two releases for the little dolls and I was flat broke during both of them. I really wanted one, but could just not swing it at the time.

 

It seems that they make very little number of the dolls and they will be more and more expensive.

*sigh* yah the price for one of these is scary. Doesn't make sense to me, since Limhwa doesn't make any profits from these resales. Besides, if Limhwa rereleases some toyous in the 300 range, surely people will jump for the chance. And that is close to the foryou price.

does anyone have pictures of a toyou's body profile? I want to see how much curve the tiny Limhwa dolls have (if it's as contorted as a foryou, I guess it would be time to give up looking for a toyou)
