Limhwa ToYou discussion part 1

Wow... I just LOVE this new resin tiny girl... she does remind me of a smaller Half Elf. Love love love her hands too! What a beautiful doll !! I'm so glad that Limhwa responded to our cries for another 27cm girl !!

About how her faceplate attaches: Looks like this would be similar to Elfdoll Hanas, Doona, etc. so that there will POSSIBLY be different faceplates included/for the future??

yay that's such great news!
i'm not going to get her (very tempted but saving up for other dolls) but i'm so excited for everyone!

what i like about Anouk, my To You, is that she stands like a rock. i can pose her in a standing position and put her on the table and there she is, the most stable doll of any i have handled!



she is strung very tightly but i never changed it just for that reason.
because of this she can be a little hard to pose otherwise, for her to hold a pose, but she can sit:

New pics of my ToYou. I have no idea were I bought this outfit from, but I had it with my Mini-Roseanne Planetdoll and it was waaaay too small for her. Last night I tried it on my ToYou and it fits very well. The black lace leggings are from Barbie. I have no idea where the black beaded headband is from...I think it was a belt from a Barbie outfit and I just put it on her head so she could have something on it. Her wig is size 4, but not sure which one since I got it with another doll purchase. And... she is standing on her own!!

Hey guys, here's a Q for all of you already with a ToYou.

With a head circumference of 3.7 inches (9.5 cm), what wigs have you tried and which ones do you think fit the best?

I actually have a couple of 4" mohair (skin cap) that I got from DDE, but they never fit the doll I had originally bought them for (a Multi Head Puki) so I'm worried they won't fit ToYou either.

If I convent 12" to cm it says 30 and Limhwa toyou has 28 as feet size..I think I'll try them

 

i once bought two fake fur wigs that were meant for Orientdoll So tinies, i checked the tiny size chart just now and they have a 3.9 inch head circumference. those two wigs fit my To You well. i don't like when wigs slip so i used a piece of double sided tape to keep them in place, but they fit snug enough otherwise.
and i bought one mohair wig from Miyukidollfie and asked for To You size, that's the one she is wearing in the pictures above.
other than that i have not bought any wigs for her.

something i'm using now is a silicone wigcap i got from denverdoll, size 3 as you usually need one size smaller than your doll:

the wigcap is great, i cut some off in the corners as it went over her ears in it's full size.

 

i'm pretty sure they would fit, i guess there is a small chance that they could be tight but it sounds like they should be just right!

My ToYou's shoes look like these, flat shoes accented with a pearl and rosette on top.
They are for "American Girl - Girls of Many Lands" dolls.
The shoes came with my Limhwa ToYou, I did not buy them for her.

I'm so glad to see the photos in this thread. ToYou is such a lovely girl. Has anyone tried Volks WTG outfits on her? They have so many designs, and it looks like ToYou would be about the right size for them.

The bodies use the exact same mold, but ToYou has thicker resin, and SARA is thinner resin.
SARA poses easier than ToYou. I love how my SARA girl's knees lock in place for sitting poses.

Wow, I'm inactive for a few months and TONS of dolls come out that I want to get!! My ToYou, Penelope, would love a playmate... I think I'm going to order a Sara once I save up enough money!

It's also great to see all the pictures! For those of you with Momoko clothes or even WTG clothes for their girls: did you have to perform any alterations to the clothes to get them to fit better (as with some Barbie clothes)? Has anyone tried Azone clothes? I imagine they'd fit well too.

 

Momoko dresses and tops are great... no alterations. The pants are form fitting. I got a pair of jeans for my ToYou by Momoko, but made sure that they were "boot cut" (wider legs).
