Limhwa ToYou discussion part 1

Hi I was figuring out where to go about this?
Restringing ToyouSara 27cm.
What size elastic? How much of it do you need? Is it hard due to smaller body cavity size? Has anyone attempted this yet?
May not need the new elastic but asking just in case Thanks!

 

I used 2.0 mm elastic to restring my ToYou. I don't know exactly how much I used--I eyeballed the loops--but I'm guessing that each loop was a foot to a foot and a half of elastic. (I string my dolls using a separate loop for each leg, but that's just my personal preference.)

All in all, I think restringing tinies is easier, just because they are smaller, the elastic is weaker, and I don't have to pull nearly so hard. Actually getting the elastic through the holes can be a pain, yes. I recommend making a 'threading needle' out of a couple of feet of reasonably-thin wire: bend the wire into a 'V' shape, hook the 'V' through the elastic, squeeze the ends of the wire together, and poke the ends into one end of the doll's body part and out the other. Then grab the wire and pull the elastic through. ... I hope that makes sense!

Found out Azone internation : Pure Neemo ( S ) fit on Sara!!
I got a lolita kimono dress with an obi and apron. Really lovely!! Also some random Daiso clothes semi fit her. The pants did not fit, but shirts fit on her.

 

My To you finally got a face up at a lokal doll fair last Sunday from the talented Hasel.
