It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Little Monica - Harmony Line (Part 3)

Jan 16, 2016

    1. @Ultraviolet i have both! I definitely prefer the heel feet. The slope of the heel leg foot is odd, and seems to only work with Little Monica shoes, all my other brands cause her to lean forward. Where the heeled feet let you rotate the ankle how you need to keep them stand. But both aren’t very steady on their feet, though.

    2. Oh ok, thank you for your answer! Might change my initial plan and get the heel feet instead of legs then since I'm planning to buy shoes from elsewhere :)

    3. Noèlle is finally home!!

Finally a Reynell here in all her glory! I played with the luminosity and contrast of these photos but the faceup does look more reddish than the Little Monica page shows it! It looks more pigmented overall, and her lower eyelashes are black, I thought they were brown. But boy is she beautiful!! :)

    6. @tharlenne

      OH MY GOD YES!

You’re the first person I’ve ever seen actually get her! I’ve been looking for owner pictures of her for years! Congratulations!!

    8. I ordered my first doll, Sarubia on layaway this week! :XD:

I was going to order Sophia first, and kept going back and forth on which one to get first. :sweat I'm planning on getting Sophia anyway, so hopefully that time isn't too far off from now :)

I'm so excited to finally own a bjd after wanting one for so long :whee:

    9. @RamenNoodle Congrats on your first doll! Sarubia is a beautiful sculpt!

    10. Thank you! I can't wait to have her! Just window shopping for her clothes and wig is a lot of fun XD

    11. @RamenNoodle I can't wait :dance

Guys, I have some contribution to do, hybrid wise.

I let Noèlle borrow her sister's body (whose head I don't own yet) a LUTS Senior Delf Type 5 body in White Skin. I wasn't doing this for the skin match, but rather the proportions, neck size and to see if it'll all work out, since I want her sister to be another Little Monica girl head. I took the pictures for a friend with my phone's camera so they aren't high quality, but here is what happened!

That other body you see in the legs photos is the NS Dreaming Doll Elva girl body.

      Conclusions:

      - With the wig it was barely noticeable there was any resin skin mismatch, however, I think that over time, LM NS's yellowing would make it more apparent so it's better to stick with LM WS.
      - The WS LUTS body was a better match to brand new LM NS resin than my old and probably yellowed Dreaming Doll body.
      - The neck was a tiiiiiiiny bit smaller (just millimeters) so it worked well, however,
      - The LUTS resin is SO smooth, the head and neck had little friction, and with minimal effort, she wanted to look down. She'll be better off sueded to prevent this. However, it wasn't so bad. It's not like she wanted to look down all the time. She could look up but would tilt her head down with minimal effort.
      - Proportion wise, I think it's great! Some mind find her neck looks too long with the LM head on for their taste, or that her shoulders are a bit narrow, but for others, it might be a great hybrid :thumbup

I personally prefer the Dreaming Doll body to the LUTS body because of the LUTS' weird knees mechanism, but this thread is about Little Monica so if you want more details about these bodies and Little Monica heads on them, start a private conversation with me!

As a disclaimer, I do not own a Harmony Girl body to compare.

Hope you find this helpful! :chibi

EDIT: Forgot to mention, all my Little Monica resins are Normal Skin (even if they looked close to LUTS' WS in comparison. This body was sold to me as "no noticeable yellowing" but she is creamy, and I got extra parts that had a different hue. So the point of this comparison is for White Skin hybrids! Keep it in mind!)

    12. @tharlenne I can also confirm that the Luts SDF Type 5 body also works well with LM's Sophia head, as I own this particular hybrid.:) She's in WS, so I can confirm that LM's WS and Luts' Real Skin White are very good resin matches.

    13. Thank you so much :D I have more questions so I'll be hitting you up on PMs!

    14. My Innocent Chloe head was marked shipped last night! She has the B faceup so I'm extra excited to get her altogether. I also am interested to see the difference in resin colors. I've always known their normal yellows quite easily, and this will be my first normal skin LM brand new! I'll compare all my years of normal to see what the change is really like. I think I have normals from 2015, 2016, and now 2017. My 2015/16 were already pretty different from each other that's how quickly the color has changed at least in my hands (and California heat).

    15. @Cuteasadoll Awesome, I'm looking forward to seeing her soon! The type B faceup is really cool.

    16. Haven’t yet gotten resin comparison shots, but I have gotten a good portrait for her doll profile! You can see a difference between her neck and her face. The body is from 2015 and the head from the last days of 2017. Happy New Year to everyone here!

    17. @Cuteasadoll oh my she is bloody gorgeous!! :D:D I love her faceup and over-all look, stunning girl!

    18. Is the newer normal skin, pinker than the old one? I can't see it clearly. :sweat
I have a LM's head from 2014 batch and I am thinking to buy a new LM body for him this year. Will new normal resin not matched with old normal resin?

    19. @Shien2 Paler is a better word than pinker, as their normal is yellow-based to start. I would say every batch of resin I have is distinctively it’s own color now. LM normal yellows rather quickly. But, given it’s a yellow tone to start, any differences are easy to hide with lighting when taking photographs (my house bulbs are also a warm light which favors yellow toned dolls looking more peachy than they really are).

Here I tried my best to keep the colors true to how I see them in person!

EDIT: just for clarity’s sake the middle photo, hands are Nov 2015, headcap is Dec 2017, and the feet are Jan 2017. I realized it may look like I’m labeling both hands as different years from my label placement.
