1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Little Things That Make You Happy?

Jun 5, 2017

    1. I used to have dreams as a kid that my room was filled to the brim with the most awesome dolls/toys imaginable. Now, it really is! That makes me very happy! Such a silly dream to come true, and not even intentional, but I love it!

    3. When I was a kid we used to regularly go to visit my great grandparents in Kentucky, We live in Ohio so it was always a big deal to me as a kid to go see them. Anyway, my great-grandma liked to customize dolls, and she had a whole unused living room filled to the brim with her dolls and dolls she had aquired. It was my favorite room in the house and she as well as her doll room was a big inspiration for me to start collecting dolls. Ever since I was a kid I've dreamed of having my very own doll room and while I'm nowhere near there yet I'm getting there! Long story short I don't think that's silly in the least and I am so happy your dreams came true!

    5. -The simple joy in "completing" a character and seeing your creation come to life
-Happy mail! I love rushing home in excitement to find an envelope or package on my doorstep, no matter how small
-Discovering new companies and sculpts, as well as new ways to see old ones
-Tutorials! Seeing someone take the time to film/photograph some process of theirs in order to share with the community warms my heart. It's another way of learning new skills from friends all around the world
-Having a way to bring together multiple hobbies. I'm an artist and a writer, and the doll hobby gives me a way to engage with several aspects of my creative hobbies at once! It's very fulfilling and relaxing to me.

    6. Finding nice furniture at a thrift store! Especially for MSD/SD sized dolls 8D Even better when it only costs you like 10 bucks and not something outrageous xD
I also loooove getting bonus gifts from Etsy orders. It's so nice to just order a wig or a necklace and get other little accessories or a shirt.
Finding the perfect pair of eyes for a doll. I've been struggling to find my pukifee eyes for so long and after trading eyes with another little one, I found they fit him a lot better and he finally has bright eyes like I wanted for him TuT9

    7. The joyous feeling when a doll is finally complete and is exactly the way I want. I think I felt this the most with my Switch Gyoha (after a year of getting clothes, a body, the perfect face-up, etc.).

Little bonus gifts or treats/snacks that sometimes come with packages

    8. YES! This is something I wished for for a long time. My brother thinks it is weird that I collect dolls. Never mind that he collects model cars. And whenever he comes to visit he makes fun of my hobby.
So now I have a friend who actually listens to my rantings about my dolls, and does not criticize. Even though she is not a doll collector, she understands why I love them and need them in my life.

    11. When I'm watching an unboxing video or a video where someone changes their doll's wig. The bald heads make me laugh. Does anyone remember those wig = snatched memes from a few years back? It reminds me of those.

    12. I love watching videos of faceups.
