Thanks for that @Snowy. Lots to consider. You are awaiting Loong Soul head and I'm awaiting a Switch body for it's head. Hopefully all parts will be assembled ASAP!

My head is the extra one that comes with him in his fullset (I‘m afraid I forgot his original name - the golden ginkgo sword guy) which is set to be shipped out around July.
Hoping that they can hold the date as at the end of July is my bday and I decided to gift him to myself last year.

I admit I have the advantage of being able to make (most) things fit if they don’t. I altered a hanfu that was SD13 but was very loose and long on my LS Jiao Mu Jiao girl earlier this year :3
It was… a big exhausting I gave to admit but I searched for an outfit like it for too long to let that stop me >

 

I appreciate the notes you gave, thank you so much! It was a bit confusing with the taobao listing (its listed as 70cm) but in alice's etc they specify and what my agent quoted me is the TB listing so I'll find out when they come home to me in a few months. Its not the biggest loss for me if the heighteners are not included if I end up with the 03 body

The wait is really torture though!

 

Anyone have OP of the Black Dragon LS doll? I would to see how he is after his production.

I am able to sew too (my Mother was a seamstress so learnt young) but if I'm paying a lot for an outfit I don't really want to start altering it if I can help it. I might have to though depending on which doll I go for ... or see if it will fit my other boy ... as I do love it. I haven't helped the funding for my Loong Soul though as I just put in an order for a Minifee.

Ooooh. Nice I only got what we learned in school and what I self-thought myself to rely on.
I feel you for the 'if I pay this much it should fit' but then I'm also on the: Yes, but it's made for a different doll than yours and you don't want a new doll, you want that to fit that doll and the other option to make it all yourself, so which will it be? => Buy and modification, due to lack of access to such pretty fabrics as I tend to want.

I may be back with another LS in a week :3 I'm getting a Shi Ze as gift and I think I have most of his outfit and stuff ready to finish him up in one go -^3^-

@quilleth -^3^- I'll take some for sure. Very excited for next week and alread packed everything I got for him together. Only need to find a pair of socks, cause I don't trust the boots to not maybe share some of it's color. Might still need to get a different wig, but will do for now

 

Thought for a moment She Ze was the one wearing the outfit I've taken a fancy to but that was Yu Ze. Similar names. Yes please post pictures when you get your boy @Snowy

 

Does anyone have comparisons on how the Loongsoul 2-part and 3-part torsos pose? I bought a 3-part torso but I'm curious to see the difference. I do rather like how more seamless the 2-part one looks.

 

My Long Soul hopes are on hold due to another doll but that outfit still beckons. It's totally the wrong size for anything I have but so beautiful. Guess I wait till the next LS Event to look again at the pretty boys.

 

oh man, I'm swooning over LS' limited "Persimmon Yellow" resin option, but I noticed a rather disturbing trend: HeYi's head circumference is 20.2cm (released March 2021),Black Dragon's is 20.9cm (released end of Dec 2020), ZhuZhao's 21cm (May 2019), MinYan's is 21.5cm (released June 2018) All of these boys are on the 73+cm bodies.
My Black Dragon is upsettlingly pin-headed, especially with how broad his shoulders are. I've been swooning over HeYi for months now, and I'm so glad I checked his head size before impulse buying him because I'd have been absolutely gutted to have found out after I opened his box that his head is so tiny

 

Yeah it’s a pretty depressing trend… I’m a little sad that my Black Dragon’s head is sooooo teeny, it looks ridiculous next to his husband, my classic Soom Chrom. He is taller and broader than my Soom, but the head is so small. Thankfully I decided to get him a new wig, he would have drowned in the one I got him initially….

The only pictures I can find are on Alice's Collections and Weibo but I really hope a picture of his blank sculpt is released soon!

 

Everyone was posting about his promo shots from Loongsoul's weibo just a bit ago! I totally put in my order for him because I loved his look so much Loongsoul makes it hard to not buy dolls haha. I got him in wheat skin and am super excited!

 

I see that now!! Yeah I am soooo tempted.... But that happens with every LS doll lol

 

Loongsoul has blank sculpt pictures on their site and at the end of his Taobao listing! Those photos also show the two mouth pieces he comes with.

I'm tempted to get him because his smile is just what I wanted for a character! I kind of wish he was 68cm though. Has anyone tried putting a Loongsoul 73cm head on a 68cm body? I'd love to see photos if anyone has!

 

Thank you!! Also I've never tried that, but if you look at the head measurements for the 73cm and 68cm dolls and they're the same/not super different, then you should be good and it won't look odd!
