Loongsoul 1/3 doll discussion Part 5

Does anyone know if they ankle extenders for the 73 cm body will work on the version 3 body? I see that LS sells them separately on their site, but it doesn't specify if they're only compatible with the version 2 body or not. I maayyy be regretting my decision to get the version 3 body over the fact it didn't have the sculpted veins in lieu of the ability to make him taller a little bit xD (i tried to see if there had been any posts about if they could be used on either body, but didn't see any, so sorry if it has been answered somewhere!)

 

My Black Dragon got back from Komorebi dolls for his faceup No idea when I'll send him off for his body painting. I still have his wings and tail but need to buy ankle extenders as his human legs aren't long enough with the tail attached. I'm surprised LS didn't consider that when designing it. I get they just assumed everyone who bought the dragon version would use the dragon footsies. Oh well.

Yan Ling II is so pretty... I don't think I've ever been so easily tempted by a doll before... I don't even feel bad having just given in and ordering him, ahaha. ;o; Truly...too pretty for me...

Does anyone know why the fancy makeup isn't offered as a faceup option? This isn't a problem for me since I like simpler faceups (for dress up possibilities!), but I wondered if anyone knew. I peeked at the official Weibo and Taobao, but I couldn't find anything besides the sales listing saying it couldn't be purchased. (Maybe it's just silently understood that the fancy makeup would be too much to reproduce multiple times?)

Eh, they have very fancy one-off face-ups every once in a while that they show only on product pictures but do not offer for purchase. I guess those are their display-only specials. But yes, I think repruduction would tricky.

Aren't they beautiful?? There are so many pretty, tiny details in the clothes and hair (those little braids!!). I spent a long while looking at that itty bitty embroidery on his collar, ahaha. It's so delicate!!

 

Yes! I love the braids with the ornaments in the side of his wig and the embroidery on both his outfit and his fan! The new faceup for him looks very sweet too. Ah, Loongsoul dolls always make me want to throw my wallet at them xD

 

@oubliemoi I don’t think Loongsoul ever did that kind of lottery or limited face-up I remember there being two face-up versions once or so but otherwise what you see is what you get usually, with special stuff like the elaborate one not available pointed out.

Do you have an estimate how long your boy will make you wait?

I asked Alice's Collection the other day, and they said six to seven months is the current wait time. So he'll be a Happy New Year doll for me~!

 

They did have a limited face-up with miao jun sp. Faceup B was an artist collab with 七逝 that was limited to 20 and was only available with a fullset.

 

I gave my Cang Jue a face! He's missing pants though lol. I have another wig coming for him and we'll see how it works out. He has been my problem child for figuring out his look and what works for me on him, but now reminds me of a strawberry, he's super cute and I'm loving him

I haven't checked this discussion in a long time, though I've had a Loongsoul at home almost ten years now. Was considering lurking again to get to know her family of other Loongsoul dolls out there better.

 

has anyone gotten a doll in the latest TS yet? (offered back in March) I'm super curious to see where it falls on their tan spectrum

 

@Girrl you mean from the 3 day tan event? Or something else?
I'm still waiting on my shipping note. Could be any day now.

 

Mine were delivered last night. Boy on the left is an old NY Iman head on a new NY body (at least a 3 year gap between when the head and body were cast) and the girl is TS from the 3 day tan event this spring.

 

They are both beautiful! I love her and the tan color congratulations

 

Thanks! what I really should do is assemble all my various tan LS dolls together because I had 3 distinctly different shades of tan before she arrived (well, I guess Black Dragon shouldn't count as "tan," but whatever) and I suspect she doesn't match any of them
