Also would totally be done to see those shades of tan just for curiosities - i mean for SCIENCE's sake

I got my White Dragon Emperor Bai Di today, hooray!! He is sooooo pretty and the white resin is sooooo white wow. He shipped so fast, but I did get him blank and in the human body ( because I have some half dragon mods for him, very excited!!! Also am masochist lol) so that's probably why it was so fast, only 4 months. Here's hoping I can get an eye commission done soon for his eyes. I think I'm keeping this wig and will make some mods. Here he is with Black Dragon I swear the lack of clothes on my dolls is ridiculous lol The yellowish look is just from the overhead lighting in that room, the resin is the most blue white of any of my white toned dolls.

Left to right we have Altaïr (Morgan), Ezio (MuXuan), Mari (LianPian), Vince (Ken) Asad (Black Dragon), and Zarah (Wei Yue Yan - Dan)

 

Oh wow. I wasn’t even aware they had this many different kinds.

1st, 3rd and last one look alike. As do 2nd and 4th one. Interesting to see!

1st and 3rd are absolutely the same shade of tan, even though I got them 3 years apart they've always matched each other perfectly. 2nd and 4th are also the same tan, and although I'm reasonably sure that Ezio was cast sometime between Altaïr and Mari, I'm not entirely sure when Vince's body was cast (his head is actually NY, color matched to his body), so it's absolutely possible that he was cast case around the same time as Ezio.
Zarah's resin looks closest to Altaïr and Mari's, but she's a much warmer tone than I remember either of them ever being. It's absolutely possible that Altaïr used to be a warmer shade of tan closer to Zarah, but he is 9 years old at this point, so, if they ever were the same shade of tan at some point, you can see how long/well LS resin holds its color.

I will add that both Asad and Zarah have super tiny heads compared to the rest of my large LS dolls - everyone else takes a 8-9 wig, but they're both a 7-8

 

@Girrl - What is the name for the specific tan for 2nd and 4th in your photo?

 

Literally "tan." I ordered TS for 1-3, and that's the range of tans I got. I picked up 4th's body second hand, so I knew which tan I was getting in advance. For a while after I got #2, I was super sure #1 wasn't actually TS, but the "Wheat Skin" LS used to offer, but wheat wasn't available when I ordered #3, so I went with TS and she perfectly matched #1 so now I'm back to accepting Nos. 1 & 3 actually are LS tan and 2nd & 4th are from an off batch or something.
I actually love all the tans I've gotten from LS, it just makes me a bit nervous about their fingers - if I ever need to get someone new hands who knows what color the tan I'll get will be

 

@Girrl - Ok, thanks. It looks like it would match a floating head I have and I wanted to note it down but if it's random then its probably not possible to choose that colour.

 

My boy Nox (Yun Zhong Jun) is hiding his non-matching resin Ringdoll body. Seriously considering dyeing it with a touch of pink so they will match. In the meantime he wears a turtleneck.

Just made the (terrifying but exciting) plunge to grab the fullset Black Dragon that was still on BJDivas. I had been debating on it for a while but I'm such a... fan... haha, of dragons and all my own OC's are dragons or half-dragons. And the Black Dragon is absolutely gorgeous, especially after seeing some of the images from you all here on DoA. I can't wait. Been wanting to get a Loongsoul fullset for years now, so this will be my first. :-) Since my other LS dolls were blank.

I read up there that Black Dragon takes a wig size of 7-8 -- is that true? I was wanting to either make my own wig or buy one off Etsy, but I'd rather refrain from window shopping too much before I know the actual wig size that fits the man.

I honestly can't wait. And I have literally no idea how I'm going to handle how huge he is. I've seen those pictures... my goodness. LOL

 

Congrats on snagging him, you will love him, he’s an amazing feat of art! Mine wears a 7-8in wig, as his nogging is fairly small. I really need to take new pictures of mine…

 

@bluebellaen I did, but I've been told not to expect him before fall.
I read yesterday on weibo that there are issues with those already shipped out. I read that they were talking about a voucher and some painted pet as compensation, but apparently those that already got theirs weren't happy with that.
I'm glad to hear that they'll be remade, even if I'm not happy about waiting a year already and needing to wait even longer now.

Watch the pics again I'm sure they'll help rekindling your love.

I've seen two pics of the wigs that were sent out and I DO hope they find a good replacement. I find wigs the trickiest (after shoes) to shop. Nothing a voucher for Loongsoul's shop would be able to fix if I had to go on a hunt again and cross my fingers the quality will be alright.
