@I-M-G-M I'm always amazed how most of their guys hit my aesthetics. I just wish they made some heads avaible for the female bodies as well. But then again this way is better for my savings and puts a limit to my collection

For tail maybe look up etsy? Some make jointed or wired tails that you can either attatch by magnet or tie it around the waist. You could also abuse one of those jointed noodle dragons and repurpose them by beheading and removing the lil feet.

Hi, can anyone tell the wrist size of the 73cm and 70cm boys?
i am thinking of doing a hybrid by giving them DFH hands and was wondering if they are compatible!

 

Which version of the 73cm body? I'm not sure if it's different between version 2 and 3, but i can measure the version 3 if that's what you're looking for.

Ok! The measurement across the joint is about 2 cm, and the measurement on the wrist part of the hand is about 1.5-1.75 maybe? it was a little tricky to measure that part xD

 

My V2 & V3 boys can swap hands, so I don't think it will make any difference between the 2 versions of the 73cm boys
(as far as I can tell, that 3cm difference without the ankle extenders is in the headsize - Black Dragon on V3 body with his teeny-tiny head is a smidge over 70cm, Iman head on V3 body is 73cm like the rest of my big lads)

Her dress is lovely! I have the 69cm 28 Stars- Bi Yue Wu. But I must admit she has been neglected! Too much real file stuff going on here!

 

Oh that's wonderful @nancy_schroeder_ca I've just looked her up, I especially love her profile! Did she come with the relatively normal sized bust then? Mine has the old default bust which is most of my troubles all these years. Chelsea has been excessively neglected all this time as well, but I thought I would offer her some new outfits for her upcoming tenth birthday as an apology

 

Yes, I ordered her with the XS bust. I tend to avoid dolls with very large busts.

 

That's fair! I wanted a Loongsoul girl back then specifically for this body type but I had no real previous experience with clothes sewing so it's been a real nightmare (which I do not regret, because I learned so much and had tons of fun!) Variety is the spice of life around here... but I would not order another one with so much boob to tailor for.
Recently I learned about a Chinese model called Echo Yue who you can see video clips of on Tik Tok I guess though I learned about her on accident through Youtube, and she looks like one of the old Loongsoul Grace ladies in a truly uncanny fashion. I was so taken aback, and just looking at all her different outfits was really inspiring to start working on the wardrobe for mine again (though I'm not really making anything like the model wears... but it reminded me that I really do think the body type is very striking and beautiful)

 

Me! I've got a girl with the ginormous old "small" bust, which is anything but small

and yeah, she's a little hard to dress...

 

Haha seriously the fact that they had the audacity to call it small but she is gorgeous @Girrl her hair is perfect too. Maybe this is weird but I remember from years ago that you had a LS girl (I think there aren't a lot of us), is this the same one from back then? I can't remember clearly

 

Same girl, I've had her since 2016. I also recently(ish) got one of their new Grace girls and her XS bust is actually normal person sized(ish) but she's still blank so not a whole lot of pictures of her yet.
Sometimes I wonder if the whole huge chest thing scared a lot of people off from their big girl dolls, which made them think that no one liked their female sculpts in the Grace size, which is why they seem to do so few female releases now. The thing is, if they'd offered a smaller chest for those girls I probably would have gotten several more because I really like a lot of the sculpts

 

What mostly 'scared' me off their larger girls was that I originalyl wanted to keep my collection SD13 sized at max. So anything 65+ cm I would only skim over so to know 'yes, this exists' but not risk falling for them XD

Glad to see some of the older sculpts every now and then here.
(And still forever sad I didn't get the JingLing elf because of his size back then.)

 

I have a ShenLuo with the "S" bust, and she's absolutely stunning. I would have loved to gather more of the fantasy girl sculpts, but I was very poor and couldn't swing them... Forever kicking myself for not getting a Chloe

 

I think the huge default chest was part of it but another part was at least back when I got ChenXing in 2012, popular doll sizes were still much smaller/shorter, especially for girls. Since then in general it seems like dolls got bigger and bigger and now all the 1/3 dolls I have under 60cm are the weird ones! I think the market for a bigger girl was narrow enough that Soom was monopolizing the tall willowy market with the super gem, there was also still some of the bizarre snobbery against Chinese dolls. But all that aside, I did often get the impression that people thought I was a pervert for having ChenXing because of her body shape... And there were plenty of comments on the forum about how dolls with huge boobs are disgusting and perverse.
So no part of me is surprised that the grace line for girls pretty much went caput. I'm glad they have released any more, although I don't feel as drawn to the newer face style as I do their older dolls who are even less realistic in facial proportions, like the one I have. But that's ok because I am not buying more dolls anyway! especially not huge ones. I get very excited to see any of the other Loongsouls though, obviously regardless of chest size. They are all just so pretty.
