I've heard about it too! Apparently they sometimes preemptively order a doll in order to offer it to their own customers. But I'll keep that in mind.

So, they just didn't want to cancel the order? I've heard that you're suppossed to first send the order so they can confirm availability before you pay? Or how does that work? Do you get an invoice? I'm a little confused. I've tried to look it up, but there wasn't a whole lot of info regarding their ordering process and their help pages are kinda blank for me.

 

I love Legenddoll and have had many great experiences with them for outfits. They were once out of an outfit for a LS doll but I bought a different one. I got my favorite ancient outfits from them. I also bought gold hangers for my hanfus a few times. They fit on my human closet bar. I don’t remember that ordering was in steps. I just paid through PayPal after ordering.

 

@Phoenix-Aeterna You put everything in your shop basket, check out and pay, like e.g. you would on Amazon?
In their case they got back to me a few days later saying this outfit was no longer avaible and if I wanted to choose a different one. Which I didn't it was the exact style and color I wanted and the accessoirs were to go with that outfit and characters meant to go with that doll. So they refunded the outfit. Then a few days later they apologized and mentioned that a few other items were also no longer produced by the maker.

Othar than that I have purchased lots of shoes and wigs through them and never had an issue, but that particular order has made me warry of ordering through them and I prefer to stick to newclover since.


But as Mahgiep said, they are great for finding ancient outfits.
By now I tracked down most makers on Taobao and go through NCS instead.
Especially the crew I'm assembling around my Loongsoul emperors and the other Loongsoul dolls need that kind of cloth wear and style. Actually hoping the popularity of some series will give this type a new hype, for easier accessablitly and more options.
Especially in the weapon props department XD
I'd prefer not to make weapons myself, but since Loongsoul usually only sell theirs with the doll/fullset and the doll doesn't always suit my plans, few of mine have the weapon they deserve.

 

If you're looking on Taobao, you can also order from more generalized shopping services like Bhiner or Parcelup. If you know the Taobao link, they'll order it for you.

 

I got my LS doll from Alice collection. I also email some questions on LS or Ringdoll promotions I see on Taobao and they are alway happy to explain and try to accomodate you

His sword according to the EN site says Xianyu Yunling but I'm confused.

I feel so conflicted.
I got back an answer from a question I sent Moonlight BJD and there is a possibility that someone is willing to relinquish a preorder of my grail (that's the word, right) doll. But I already preordered another version of the doll and I cannot cancel it.
Ugh.
Is it time for another layaway?
Or should I just let it go?
I can't decide!

I really do like WYXZ but i dont want to get an entire new doll just for the heqd sculpt... Is there a way I can get only the head sculpt?
