Loongsoul 1/3 doll discussion Part 5

Oohhhh Im all ready for this now!

 

Loongsoul white is indeed very white. Here's a pic if it helps. I don't really know how it compares to being more pinkish or more yellow though, since the other dolls I have are in Ringdoll normal and a light tan made for the artist, and the lighting in my office does tend to give things a bit of a yellow cast in photos.

Eyyyy paper white! Thank you, its a very cool toned white from what I'm seeing, similar to my DF-A head. Definitely can get away with blushing neck etc. RW for Switch has a faint yellow tone on Ringdoll's NS but very unnoticeable unless you look closely and probably the better match.

All well, since Pavian is an alternative head to Dong Jun. A few more weeks!

 

I got WYXZ in white, since the promo pics seemed pretty pink. I did get the body blushes so Im hoping that it wont look so papery

 

Yeah the blushing and editing on their promo pics does tend to make them look like they've got a bit more color. Their faceups look really nice, so I'm sure your WYXZ will look great!

 

Just in case anyone needs more comparisons, here is french white (White Dragon) and french yellow (Cang Jue) from dolls received this year, no sun exposure.



And here is the Loongsoul french white compared to Dollshe Pale (also received this year, no sun exposure). the Dollshe pale is actually very very white, but it's a more yellow white vs the eye blinding blue white of Loongsoul, haha.

Hey all, I was curious what the average wait time is when ordering and what your recommended store is? I see a lot of people seem to order from Alice collections or clover singing? Thanks!

 

I did a 6month layaway through Alice's Collections and my doll shipped a couple of weeks after I finished paying him off. It took 3 days for him to arrive to me, in the US. Their customer service has always been really lovely to work with when i contacted them.

It really depends on the maker of the doll, and for LS its usually 120 to 180 days from purchasing date

 

I do 6 month layaways with Alice's Collection since many people noted that LS takes around that time to finish the doll. I do message ACBJD to mail me if it arrives early so if ever, I will immediately finish the layaway. So far, it never happened so yeah. From ACBJD to me though, I live somewhere in Asia so it takes about 5 days to a week to get to me which is no problem at all. I waited 6 months for the doll, so what's a week of wait for it to get to me.

P.S. I only buy Uncle size dolls from LS so not sure if making time would be shorter if you buy the smaller ones.

 

Awesome! Thanks everyone for your input. I’m thinking I might order a Cang Jue human version before the sale is over and I was trying to long term timeline it out to make sure any potential delivery wouldn’t happen in a month where I might be gone for a week.

I’m also curious how you all feel about their jointed hands? They look nice in the photos compared to others that I have seen, but are they pesky?

 

Placed my order for Bai Jue last night :3 I chose the wig option that's listed on AC for him too, and I know it's a basic wig and not the styled one, but does anyone know what the basic ones look like?

 

It would be just straight long black wig

 

Anyone else notice that LS' newest release, Tao Tie Human Version, is available in Wheat Brown resin?? Good god, I want a doll in that resin

 

I saw that too!! If only I wanted Tao Tie bad enough lol and I'm a sucker for fang boys, armor and while he's gorgeous I just didn't feel the same way like I did about Ji Shui Bao and Cang Jue. Despite that amazing color and his cool accessories, etc. I'm on a doll ban anyway for the rest of the year. I'm trying so hard to stick to it lol.

 

If Ji Du - Yue Yao was available in that resin I'd snap him up in a heartbeat

I'm still trying to get pants on my Cang Jue, make a new outfit for my Black Dragon with his tail of doom lol and finish the dragon mods/clothing/accessories for my White Dragon Bai Di plus I have Ji Shui Bao incoming.... so I'm hoping they'll offer wheat resin again in the future, preferably after I get some of my projects finished lol, sighhh.

 

I saw him two days ago and immediately was in love and asked my favourite retailer if she would ge thim.
Now that I've seen the price tag and blank pics of his face, I'm shomehow not as enamoured anymore :\

Good for my savings I suppose and trying not to get another doll this year, but yes, I too would love one in wheat skin that appeasl to me.
But then again I'm sure there will be future releases that will appearl to me as well.

I just wish Loongsoul finally rememberd their 65 boys and would give them some more mature / cheekbone-y sculpts as well.
A few years ago the 68 heads fit on the shorter male bodies as well and you could ask for that combination.
(but then again tan was avaible all year round then as well)
