Loongsoul 1/3 doll discussion Part 5

Thanks @Snowy! He just got delivered an hour ago, but I am away from home until afternoon, so I gotta wait to open him until I get home.
I'm hopeful that nothing else is broken on him...

 

Whoa that giant foot... I can't imagine how room the whole doll must take! The parts are so impressively sculpted and the resin color is just gorgeous.

 

@bickazer I was thinking that too, ie what the foot print (pardon the pun) of the whole dragon as the length of the wings must be the length from finger tip to elbow (estimating using the foot size to calculate the wing length). Also when the outfit in on (to bulk out the body) with the horns (which are quite tall)... woah!

 

So.. I did it. Now waiting on LoongSoul

Thank you @Snowy, I'm slowly working on his faceup, which is proving to be a challenge for my pastels with how dark he is.

Thank you so much! I made the eyes myself (I drew the Iris digitally and then printed it off, just to put into acrylic bases).

I am still waiting on his wig and horns to arrive. If I’m lucky both will be here this coming week!

 

You did an excellent job with the eyes, the colour was inspired the heavy eyebrows go well with the dark resin and balance out the impact of eyes.

BTW, what shade of tan is the resin? In some pictures it almost looks maroon, like a purplely brown which is really unusual (can't tell if it my colour settings)

 

Thanks @kyukyukyu! The resin is a very cool toned dark maroon, it’s hard to capture honestly… but I’m hoping that once I have his wig I can take some nicer pictures of him.

Hello all! I’m so glad that he arrived, @IzabethS ! I hope they get the replacement to you soon. I have missed SO much, as I’m down with the sickness . I just checked my tracking and the airline has now shipped my BIG box! I hope he gets here before my quarantine ends! Though, the box opening thread seems a bit daunting with the tail parts!

Another one with the game Onmyouji. I really think the style of the game works incredibly well with Loongsoul's style.
Probably not going to go for the doll, but what I can see, it already looks very pretty again. And that smile...


@IzabethS Looks you got your work cut out for you. Crossing fingers the replacement part for that tail arrives fast and that you can make him look as you intend it to look.

 

Thanks @Snowy! I received his wig and intended horns recently, and he looks quite nice now. Still waiting to hear from Christina about whether the tail fluff will be replaced or not…

He looks great! I love the skin and the eyes together! Looks like my black dragon ha shipped on 9/11, but whew! It’s sloooooooow.

oh, yeah, has anyone had experience with a good stand for 80 cm dolls? I just got the 80 cm body for my Twigling Eloy and none of the stands I’ve tried are stable enough. I usually use the saddle stands from blue blood dolls and they work great for the beast versions, but are too short for him.

There’s currently a holiday in china so that might delay the answer, but I‘d poke her for an update if you don’t hear back from her by the end of next week.

@Alicat I haven’t had to use any myself but two friends of mine use dollmore‘s stands a lot and are very happy with them. They also have stands for big dolls.


There are new pics uo from the Onmyouji game collab. Really like what they made out of it and would like the head but we know that doesn’t work with these charater dolls. Strangely I‘m not upset over it :3 i just hope some ppl will get him and show him off from time to time~
