so, I got my Black Dragon today! His box was beat all to hell, one piece of tape holding the bottom of the box! Also, outgoing customs from China jacked stuff up pretty badly! The worst he has, though, is a pretty scuffed foot. It also has a small chip I found later. I’m lucky, though! For sure. I’ll be posting another video tomorrow for his part assembly and dressing. He’s SO pretty

 

@Alicat congrats on his arrival! Mine arrived in damaged boxes too, though the only break he suffered is along his tail fluff. I still haven't heard back yet from Christina about what Loongsoul wants to do about it... I have glued it for now, so it's holding at least.

I need to take better pics of mine still, he's so handsome!

 

@IzabethS , I am really lucky about the damage he sustained, for sure! It’s still frustrating to have ANY damage to a guy this expensive, but oh well! I hope you hear back soon about his tail, I know that’s frustrating. I also just realized that I follow you on Instagram! I saw your detail of your face up and it is amazing I actually like your spots much better than the scales Loongsoul used. Great job! Do you plan to give him a body blush?

I have to say that, if anyone is interested, the face up is like they advertised. I got makeup A. The body blush is much less of a match. It is more subtle, and there looks to be light highlights that I don’t really care for. There is less bronze than in the pictures as well. I MAY use a copper pearlex to highlight more. The one good thing is that it should help to have less wearing, for instance, at the top of the dragon feet. They seem to have kept the blushing more toward the toes Most of my beast boys have rubbing around the feet and where they have applied it near joints.

Has anyone ever experienced Loongsoul shipping the wrong body? I ordered the Goumang SP, and it said they should have sent the 68 body, but it’s definitely either the 73 or 80, based on the pictures. It’s also white skin compared to the normal skin heads, hands and males pieces, haha. It seems like it might have just gotten dropped into the wrong box. I ordered through Alice’s, so I’m hoping it gets straightened out easily, but it still makes me anxious :/

 

I got a blushed body I didn’t order once, through Clover Singing. I removed the blushing because it was hot pink and my doll was yellow normal. Everyone thought I’d be thrilled to get free blushing. (I was not amused!) I wondered if it was someone else’s order. It never happened since then and I have ordered 11 more bodies!

 

Happily, LS was able to confirm the body they shipped me was incorrect, so they'll ship the correct one out for me The offered me the option to purchase the incorrect body, which I'll probably do as well. I'm so happy the resolution came quickly! Their dolls are really lovely and I'm really looking forward to having a full one, haha.

That is great news! Do you have an idea yet what head you want to put on the wrong body?

 

Not a clue, haha. They said the body they shipped is their imported white skin. I do have a Luts RSW event head that fits really well and the resin match is almost perfect, so I might see about getting something from there? They seem to be a bit more available than the Loongsoul heads. But I’m open to suggestions for other companies. I’m a LS newbie

 

I have good news, my Black Dragon's new tail piece is out for delivery. I'm stoked!

The new tail piece arrived in one piece, so I am glad that saga is done. I will swap it with the broken one soon

 

Are you keeping him in a modern look or will he switch to ancient/ historical aesthetic?

 

Yeah, for now he's gonna stick to a modern look, though eventually I want to commission him some armor, but more of a fantastical western style.

I ony have the outfit, I adjusted to fit my LS girl better, to show so far. My girl's head is at a face-up artist and the wig I picked up for her got lost in the mail as I found out. I'm getting a refund and ordering it again, with some other stuff. Hoping a bigger parcel will prevent it from going going missing.

On a side note, yieks, Loongsoul really has it out for us. on 3rd november there will apparently be another new release in two versions and I certainly am curious now that i read 'Tengu' in the descritpion. Unlikely I'll get another big tuy, but... one can oogle ;P

@Shoko86 going by the hints of the face-style and their recentl release-mania my guess is on 68 at least. Probably a 73 again, I'm thinking. A couple of days left, then we'll know more

 

I have a Black Dragon full set coming this week from bjdivas. Ordered back in January, haha. Will be my first ever Loong Soul. I'm thinking of mixing the human and dragon parts. Especially human legs so he can wear fabulous boots!
