@mitsunotsubasa: I'm getting a big LS body in NS from a friend here shortly and since I happen to have a Luts boy in NS I'll make a comparisson. From what I remember from her big boy thought, it's unlikely to fit. But then again it could be the face-up that messes with the color. Actually the body should arrive this or next week.

 

Thank you, but unfortunately I don't have planned schedule for now, since I am still high school student(last year!) and USD cost about 4 NIS which is very expensive and depressing. For exmple you calculate 500 dollar into shekel, turns out to be 1000! This the reason I nicknamed myself as poor collectorXD! your doll sounds very pretty, I'm definitely would like to see what kind of face up she will have^^ and as for William head, I personally don't like dolls with open mouth, its kinda bugs me but it is always fun to get free items. I hope you will get this head for free

I usually don't like open-mouth dolls too much either. But if it's only a little bit it's fine. I already have a Custom house Mars, who also has a slightly open mouth. Depending on how exactly the head looks in real, I might remove the teeth or just not color them white :3

 

Actually..I celebrate hanukkah, but thats okey to make mistakes from time to time^^. I never really got pocket money in holidays instead, I simply buy some toy..and to this very day I am collecting toys(monster high, tmnt..) so I don't have any left money. However I start to paint a few paintings that I plan to sell in order to get, yet another off topic(tmnt secret sewer lair playsetXD!) and afterwards I hope to start earning money for bjd. I saw Custom house Mars and I admit he looks fine. Maybe if you plan what kind of expression you want for your doll it would look a lot better. By the way I notice that loongsoul dolls isn't very pouplar; I always searching for pictures in flickr, there is only a few ones and not well detailed. I'm not sure if is it because the company is new or it's just not pouplar. I think its shame if this the current situation because they have one of the most movable, aesthetic and cheap bjds.

 

My plan was to simply lurk, but the mods want at least one post so I'll buckle down and do it..

... I have a LS YingYing on layaway and she'll be here soon *happy dance* It'll be nice to have a cute model always on hand for photo-shoots.

@poor collector: How is Hanukkah celebrated?
I generally think that the best way to find 'your' doll is to either fall in love at first sight (or second or third...) and if you don't fall out of it after over a week. Or if you know what you want and look for that very doll. I knew exactly what my 'only' doll was supposed to look like. And I still love him a lot, not regretting once that I got him. I couldn't help but find my second and third doll while looking for him :3

Actually the Loongsoul bodies are VERY popular. It's just that LS only had the three girls in 1/4 so far. Everyone else is brand new and since LS takes a while to ship...
I agree with the rest, except 'cheap'. But I also don't consider LS to be expensive. More middle area for me.


@Kashi: Welcome to the board and to the LS thread -^-^- A Yingying, huh? How soon is 'soon' ? XD (I'm not a very patient person, can you tell? ^^°) What color will she be? And what do you plan to do with her?

@Snowy: Soon is, sometime in January (I hope, I'm also not a patient person). I have two more layaway payments to make, the second to last being this Friday. She's normal yellow skin (it looked the most natural in the pictures). I don't have any solid plans on what to do with her xD I have "plans" to make her into lolita-esque fashion but I won't know for sure to go that route until I have her in person.

I just ordered NuanNuan! I got her in pink skin, solid resin and on the medium chest. The poor girl doesn't get any attention, it's all Momo and YingYing. I'm really tempted to get ChuChu in the future too, what a cutie I haven't seen ONE owner picture of her.

I now have four dolls on the way...shame on me

 

@Kashi: Oh goodie! January is ... soonish ;9 And I know what you mean. Usually most of my dolls cooperate what I have in mind for them. Not all thought ^^° And that's where 'the battle of wills' is starting XD

@Venetica: Congratulations! Four dolls? Niiiiiiiiice! ... I think I have about the same remaining. And a head XD

 

I just learned something interesting that I wanted to share. If you look at the 1/4 dolls in the Chinese version of the LS website, you'll see an extra character before each of their names. Each doll represents a season. NuanNuan is Spring, Momo is Summer, ChuChu is Autumn, and YingYing is Winter. The boys don't seem to have any sort of theme.

 

I could be wrong, but don't the boys have the 'saint' theme or something like that going on? If you google the names meanings there are references to 'famous' people often having to do with the bible or similar.

(I thought at first they were doing kings, but Aaron is not fitting in with that. Arthur and William would fit :3)

 

Snowy: you are right about the cheap, the problem is I didn't define it well..what I meant to say is in comparison to other msd dolls with far less articulation and varity of resin colors, loongsoul are quite cheap. But if you don't consider these characteristics, then loongsoul are in the middle area, indeed.

How is Hanukkah celebrated? Hanukkah is 8 day long holiday. every night all the family gathers, then father bless on the candles of Hanukka before lighting them and putting them in the hanukkia , afterward all the family sings toghther tradional Hanukkah's songs, which main of them isMa'oz Tzur. Every night we add another candle in the hanukkia, so in the first day we will light one candle and in the eighth day we will light 8 candles, in addition the tarditional food of the holiday is a giant doughnut, which is called sufganiyah .

About the theme of the msd boys; Aaron might actually be a king XD, from what I know thare was a period in Israel when the priests became corrupt and leaders of the Jawish people.

I think its really cool to have many dolls from the same company, because all the dolls are related to each other as cartoon characters from the same series are related. I would like to ask you something; when your dolls will arrive, could you do post a comparison picture *-*,please? I would appricate that.

 

@Poor collector: Yes it's true, depending on what you compare it too Loongsoul can even be considered expensive.

I mean x-mas is the christian way of saying 'thank you for being born, jesus' to roll it up into a simply state :3

No, I'm still not sure if Williams and I will hit off, but of all the heads I found his to be ... kind of interesting and I am getting the head for free after all, so I'm not loosing out if it doesn't work.

 

I'm so sorry, I gave the wrong impression when I posted that. I meant that I have four dolls on the way, each from different companies NuanNuan is the only one from LoongSoul. I think it would be pretty awesome if someone could do a comparison of all four of the MSD girls though!
