Did you use layaway with jeeryama? I'm considering putting Sybil on layaway. I love Celia and Lotus as well! Hard to decide.
I am soooo tempted to get an all white Sibyl. I think her face sculpt is really lovely, and I've never had a white skin doll before. Does anyone have a reference for how big the medium bust is in real life? I have only one Kid Delf girl (a Yul) in the normal bust, and I'm a little worried at how buxom Sibyl will look next to her.

Yes I did layaway with jeeryama. They are grate and get back to you fairly quickly. I took into account the face sculpt as well as the tail shape. Very hard to choose though. Celia just kept giving me that look though. And I just recently when through my sketch book and found an old character that fits her so perfectly!

I ordered Sybil using layaway! My grail doll has always been a mermaid. I thought it would be from Asleep Eidolon until I saw these dolls. They are perfect! I'm so excited!
Congratulations Jenjei and periwinklestars!! I can't wait to see your box openings Did you ever decide on getting Celia, Syrill? (I know what you mean about AE's merboys, lol!) I agree LoongSoul's mermaids are more creative, too. Yes! A member here did just that with the Arthur sculpt and she looks fantastic.
@Venetica -Celia stole my heart and a coworker even named her "Odelia" (not intentionally rhyming, I just showed her a picture of Celia and we both fell in love). n_n
I just ordered Sibyl and Chris from MoC. I've wanted a mermaid BJD since I first saw some artists' one-offs years ago. I'm really picky about how they're sculpted though, and until now, nothing was ever quite what I envisioned. AE Cordelia was close, but I couldn't afford her at the time. Guess that worked out because the LS Sirens are exactly what I was looking for! And I love the shell base for them to sit on. A mermaid BJD deserves something more fitting than a normal chair. I'm planning to make an underwater diorama for them to live in. I think the best part though is that since I'm not getting them human bodies, they won't need tons of clothes. Seems like every resin purchase is followed by needing 12 new wigs, 18 more pairs of eyes, and dozens of outfits. I'm planning these girls to have very specific looks, so they won't need multiple wigs or eyes, and they come with all their clothes: a bra and a tail! XD And now... the waiting.
Sweeeet, I'm happy to see there is love for all four sculpts! Congratulations on your two new beautiful mermaids~! I know what you mean about not needing tons of accessories to buy. The only thing I haven't decided on for my girl is the eyes. She certainly won't be wearing clothes (with the exception of the bra), and I have the perfect wig already picked out for her. I hope to see more 1/4 mermaids in the BJD world
Yeah, I definitely stressed a bit over spending that much. This is the most I've spent at one time, though since it's for two dolls, they won't be my most expensive. My EID Luna wins that award. The fact that buying two got me a shell chair for free also factored into my decision. They're coming completely blank though. I'll have to practice my face-up skills in the meantime. I fell in love with Sibyl's face from the start. Meanwhile, I think Chris is missing some love because she has the worst photo set of them all. There really aren't any that show off her fins well. I liked her wings the best though, and what I could see of her fins. I asked Mint on Card about body swapping, but they said no. And the more I looked at Sibyl's fins, the more they grew on me. I finally decided to solve my dilemma by buying both. I'm just glad I have enough in savings to be comfortable committing to such a large layaway. Yes. Also, these will be my first MSD sized dolls. So I don't have the luxury of having a lot of things already purchased in this size. Luckily, I looked through my stash and I have a Leeke 7-8 wig that would be perfect. It was one of the limited colors (misty mint) so I bought it secondhand hoping it might fit my Limhwa Half Elf, but even though I could get it on her, it was clearly too small. I kept it because I loved the color so much. Now I have a doll coming that can use it!
The more I look at all four mermaids, the more I find about each one I like. Celia ticked all the boxes for me, but Chris' face is so sweet and I love her wings and fluke shape. Lotus is definitely the sultry siren - very mysterious and the color of her tail is gorgeous. I love Sibyl's claws and her face is stern but so lovely and her wings are beautiful too.
