Losing/Misplacing Doll Parts or Dolls?

I've never lost them They're a bit too big and expensive for me to lose BUT an ex-friend of mine did try to steal one of my boys

 

I've lost a ball joint before. I borrowed a hand off my girl to do ring fittings and when I went to put her hand back on, I realized I didn't know where the ball was. I eventually found it near their case in the carpet. Glad my cats didn't notice it and run off with it. I must have set it on her lap when I took the hand off, then forgot about it when I went to pick her up. Close call!

 

i lost my Puki feet.... LOL..... i had put a Christmas elf costume on him that had curly toed elf shoes.... and his feet did not fit in the shoes..... so i took his feet off, and forgot where i put them...... i found the feet weeks later looking for something else.

 

Oh I hide things from myself (read: lose) all the time! I remember when I was putting the magnets back into the feet of the 60cm Obitsu I was packing up to sell, I put one of them down somewhere at some point and spent about 20 minutes looking for it! I don't remember where I eventually found it but I amaze myself how skilled I am at hiding things from myself! Anytime, anything, anywhere! I'm truly a master!

 

I lost an S-Hook once on a Saturday night (so the hardware store was closed the next day) and in desperation I tried using everything from a bent up head pin and jump ring to a picture hanger I found in the basement... Nothing worked... And then I found the damn S-Hook so all was well .

I lost one of my Kondoll rings, though, and never found it. I think the vacuum ate it.

 

I lost my Obitsu girl's feet once...>.< While I still had two cats in the house...now that was a fun search party. Finally found them under the bottom board of my desk though, thankfully.

 

I lost a whole doll once...(Bobobie tiny)...found her a few days later in my sock draw...I still dont rember how she got there...

I also lost my Vesuvia horns...found them months later behind some comic books...

 

I recently lost a puki puki hand on the first meet i ever went to.
Just showed her and the Brownies to so many people i dont know when i lost it. Since its a puki puki it's not so bad, had a different hand set at home, she was handless for less then 4 hours.

 

Just lost a tiny S-hook meant to string Soom Beyla hooves... then found it under my bed! >_<

I lost my puki's wing top boots and her awake faceplate had been hijacked off of my desk by my sister wayward kitten I found the faceplate under the desk but her boots are still missing

 

A few days ago I thought I had lost the stringing for one of the dolls I had taken apart to clean and seam sand. Luckily for me I found it the next day in a bag full of packaging material that I keep around for shippin stuff.

 

Yeup. I lost my MNF Soo's pinky that broke off.
sigh

 

One of my dolls I brought with a broke finger, and I have misplaced it before I had chance to glue it back on, whoops! I'll have to bandage his hand xD

 

We lost a Puki foot somewhere in between packing up from Gogadoll and unpacking back here. I keep hoping it's somewhere in one of the stock boxes, and that I'll find it eventually. But no luck so far.

 

not me, but my bestie did.

she had just finished restring her Iplehouse Amy for the first time, and soon after that, she went off to have dinner with her family and also brought her doll along, when she sat down and placed her doll on the table, Amy's left lower leg popped off all of a sudden and the doll was back into pieces and they were scattered everywhere. Dx

my bestie started picking up all of Amy's parts, but she could not find her lower left leg, she asked the staff at the restaurant to help her find it but they couldnt find it anywhere.

she had to redo her stringing again, and now Amy is legless

She had contacted Iplehouse already though, and they're now in the process of making a new leg for her.

 

ha plenty! I lost one of my dolls hands in a stream last year. That's the downside of magnetic parts. I've also had a finger break of of one doll that i never found and three fingers break off another. Tee hee, I'm such a poor doll owner.

 

I lost the magnets that went to my school C head. I thought I sent them to the face up artist but she said they were not in the box. I tore my entire room apart looking for them and never found them. I am still waiting for Volks to restock them so I can replace them.

 

My cats used to run off with Folkens fur wig a lot. So there have been times when I came home to find him bald, then I had to go cat hunting. I love my kitties....

 

The weekend I was "kidnapped" for my bachelorette party, we had an impromptu doll meet at the restaurant I was taken to.

The next morning, somebody pointed out that one of Lir's wings was missing. After frantic searching everywhere (even back at the restaraunt), I had to give up the ghost that one of her clear preorder wings was gone..

*sigh* Ah well. XD
