  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I think my Love at First Sight doll is Dollstown Hyun.
      Sometimes I see dolls on flickr and fall in love with the sculpt only because the owner's way of styling the sculpt is beautiful. However, when I see the sculpt styled differently, I don't like it as much.
      However, with Dollstown Hyun (and many other Dollstown dolls for that matter), I really fell in love with the sculp rather than the style. I've never even saw someone style this doll to my liking, for that matter. I am just madly in love with the doll & know exactly what I would do with her if I got her one day :aheartbea

    2. The whole love at first sight thing is what drew me in to bjds in the first place, since that happened with my doll, and I'd have trouble convincing myself to get one otherwise, due to their expense and lack of space.

    4. My love at first sight was Little Monica's Haazel. Never had an experience like it. Just looking at the thumbnail image I felt my heart give a little flutter, when I opened up his webpage I was a goner. It was the oddest thing, I'd never before seen a sculpt and felt that absolute certainty that they'd be coming home to me. I now have a rule that unless I feel that same thing when I look at a doll, it's not the one for me.

    5. Looking through this thread I spotted your dolls silver Holly and I have fallen instantly in love with your iplehouse Benny! I must have!! I have not even recieved my first doll which is Melodie by maskcat doll but I am already trying to find this Benny doll!     7. For me it'd be between these two choices.
      Souldoll Joelle.D - I adore how much personality his face bears, with and without a faceup. I also love what other people have done with their own Joelle.D's.
      LUTS Centaurs - I loved centaurs long before I knew these guys exsisted, so seeing them made me all sorts of excited about them. I love them to death!

    9. For me it's love at first sight or none at all. That doesn't mean I buy dolls instantly, but usually, I see a doll on the company's website, flickr or anywhere else and I immediately know I really want that doll. It all depends on the sculpt, if I like that, then nothing can change my opinion.

    12. I usually know pretty fast if I want a doll. I'm pretty attuned to what kind of style is good for my collection, but I usually look at all factors before I make a final decision. HOWEVER, I have had a few dolls that have grabbed me instantly. My Soom Hyperon was one of those dolls. He was way more expensive than I would have ever wanted to spend, but one look at him and I knew I had to have him, regardless.

      The most recent one has been Ringdoll's Little Red Riding Hood (fullset, of course) but I don't think I have the money.

    15. The doll I fell in love with at first sight is also my Grail Doll, the Dollzone Yuu. I fell for him when seeing Owner Pictures. And then fell for him all over again at the company pictures. <3 The pictures of the first Yuu I had seen where rather sad and melancholic... Made the Yuu seem rather... fragile to me. And then at the sight of the company pictures it was like looking at a totally different doll. Confident, strong, they had this look in his eyes... I fell in love with the Yuu at first sight TWICE and this love is still as strong as when I first saw him~ <3

    19. This happened to me ONCE, and it was my first doll! I saw HZ's tan schuster fei and omg... I was like "That's him. He's the one. He's mine." He's still with me! Though he needs restringing, but I still love him to pieces.

Most of my dolls have struck a major chord with me in a big way, otherwise I would not have them, but not being a heart leads head kind of person I still tend to consider things a lot before I actually go there. The big love for me that's Iplehouse Luo. I can't afford him, still. He's just an unrealistic purchase for me but I've had a major yen for that doll since I first started looking at BJD's and he's never quite let go of me. He's the grail doll of grail dolls with me, the one I just cannot rationalize getting ever, but every time I see one I just sigh...
