    2. Her mix of the real skin resin holds light so well. I'm so excited to see what everyone does with their Kied's and Tania's! I still have my Vr 1 Kied. Once I get my Kied Ara that one is going to be his little brother, they look enough a like not to be twins.

    8. I'm in love with Heka too.. I thought I had decided on a DIM for my first BJD, but nope, this girl just had to pop up. I'll be ordering her in normal pink when I get the funds, she's too lovely not to bring home!

    11. I have heard that the bodies are lovely. In fact I have not heard anything negative, this is the first inkling of someone not wanting a body (or maybe Yimmit has a body in mind already).
      I don't know how I am going to wait another week to order my Heka. Wah. Maybe I won't :sneaky

    12. Lumedoll bodies are very beautiful, but I can see how one might consider hybridizing. They are very lean, I have the original boy body and he's much skinnier than any other 60cm SD I've come across, so that might not be to a person's preference. They are also single jointed in the knees and elbows. Their posing still looks good, but I know some people are really picky about joints and posing.

      I'm NOT saying I don't love LumeDoll's bodies. I adore Dollist and her amazing creations. I'm just saying I can understand how someone with a different aesthetic preference might look at other options.

    13. Yes I understand. I love Elfdolls but they are not exactly acrobats. My favorite body hands down is Shinydoll. However when I order Heka she's going to be the Real Skin so I don't think she'll match anyone.
      I don't mind skinny. Or fat. I'm not picky. This is the problem really. Elf ears however are a bonus.
      I am thinking about the darker toned real skin, does anyone have one of those?

    14. If you look in the Lumedoll doll database, I think it's the last entry, there's one with the tan real skin. It's a lot lighter than I expected! When I finally can get one of these guys, I definitely want one in real skin; just looks stunning!

    16. Dollist's bodies have beautiful sculpting and look like they pose very well, but it is not right for the character I have in mind for the Keid Ara sculpt. The body has more of a slim, bishounen look to it, but I guess I like the larger, masculine, broad-shouldered bodies for mature-looking heads. This is why my MD Ryu, whose sculpt usually has 60cm bodies, will actually have a 70cm+ body.

      So all in all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the bodies. I truly love (and admire) the sculpting, especially in the chest area. It's just in personal preference for a specific character.

    17. You do know that the new bodies are a long way from the twig legged Kieds and Ains we remember right? I think they are a lot heavier as well. Those skinny boys do fill out those skinny jeans nicely I must say. I could see how someone might want to hybrid them out and so far the ones I've seen are stellar! But I'm pleased with mine. I have to get off my can and order my Kied Ara! Now that I've pinned down his character and regrouped the group!

      Oh is anyone going to the Creedy-Goodreau Convention? I think Lumedoll is going and if we are you'll get a chance to meet Dollist! I'll let you guys know for sure once she tells me!

    18. Yummit that does make perfect sense. Since mine is a girl, that is a whole other can of worms.

    20. Kied Ara is a more mature looking version of the original sculpt. He also does not have a detachable tooth plate like the original Keid.
      I know how you feel. I would love to have an original Keid as well. :{
