    1. Most stuff that billed as "SD" (or "60-65 cm boy") should fit - but should is the operative word since every clothing maker works with a slightly different set of measurements. But I've had good luck with, for instance, Tata, Sadol, and Raphael SD tops and pants. If I'm buying clothes from a company that sells primarily dolls, I check the measurements of their guys against mine to get a better idea of what their clothing measurements might actually be. The large doll comparison chart is really helpful:

      I'm assuming here that the Lumedoll boy body sculpt hasn't changed since I got my Saiph and yours'll be the same. There are quirks. The arms are rather short, so you might get tops that fit well at neck and shoulders but the sleeves are a bit long; and the torso is very thin, so tight-fitting tees are never as as tight as I'd like them to be. The ball joint at the top of the leg protrudes from the hip socket and can look odd in tight-fitting pants.

      Finding shoes that fit hasn't been a problem at all. The foot length is just under 8 cm, and most shoes billed as "SD" have an inner length somewhere between 8-9 cm. It's always nice when the seller gives the inner length!

    2. Thanks for the info, Sirin! I'm slowly getting an idea of what to expect ^^ For one thing, I think sleeves being too long wouldn't bother me too much - too short is worse!

      I'm checking out the companies you mentioned now. :) I'd been thinking about buying this Dollheart outfit - do you reckon it'd be okay, just eyeballing it? I'm actually kind of conflicted - they have three steampunk outfits and I like them all!

    3. ^Hey, Damasquerade, that outfit is so great!!! They're calling it SD13, which is specifically a Volks size. Here are Volks SD 13 measurements for height, chest, waist, and hips in cm: 60, 23.7, 20.7, 25; and Lumedoll: 60, 24, 19, 22. So, if they're really working with those Volks measurements, the shirt and vest could be a little tight at the chest and the pants could be loose at the waist. If it were me, I'd be thinking that nothing would be absolutely too small to get on my boy and everything a close enough fit to look decent - but I just don't expect a perfect fit, so please don't take my word for it!

    4. I thought that the new Lumedoll body was 62 centimetres tall? *goes to check* Nope, 63cm.

      So going by these things... It might be REALLY tight in the chest! And loose in the waist. The hips don't seem too different though. The chest measurements are 23.7 centimetres versus 25 centimetres. It would be awful if I spent all that money on a Dollheart outfit and it wouldn't even go on. That leather vest wouldn't have much give in it either, I'd imagine. Hmm.. I wonder if the El model is on a Delf body, and whether that would give me a better indication of what can wear it. I'll have to look up the Delf measurements later, I'm meant to be working right now, not looking at dolly stuff!

      Edit: Curses... The Delf body is 23.5 centimetres around the chest. To take a risk on buying it, or not? That is the question.

      Edit again: Aha, I've found a thread of a Crobidoll R-line Jun wearing one of the Dollheart steampunk outfits, and his chest is wider than the Lumedoll boys, at 26 centimetres. His other measurements are much larger as well, and the outfit looks good on the doll. This gives me hope!

    5. ^Really clever research, Damasquerade! I got those Lumedoll measurements from the large doll comparison chart. Maybe I should try to update them. I know the foot measurement in the chart is wrong, too.

    6. Can I ask you guys how Lumedolls pose and how they look with other bjds? I'm not sure where to ask this, since Lumedolls
      don't seem as popular as other bjd companies. I love, love Lumedoll Saiph and really want one! I know he isn't for sale on
      the site anymore, but I hope to manage to get him one day. I've asked Lumedoll if they'd ever rerelease him and at first they
      said no, but I asked them many months later and they said they might. Please do!!!! I fell in love with this boy the instant I saw
      him. If they ever release him again, I will try my best to get him.

      Is the 90 days their longest layaway plan? Can you purchase the head separately? I've seen a few people on DOA say they
      bought just the head, but I'm not sure. They don't seem to have that option on their site. Do they?

    7. They pose very well as you can see Sirin7's post at the bottom. The newer bodies post just as good or even better as the old ones.
      Far as I know 90 days is the longest I've seen but if you email Dollist your situation she might be willing to do longer, it's case by case.
      There were some conventions where she had the heads separately. Generally, you have to purchase the body as well but if she has anything extra she might offer it here in the market place. She hasn't in a while tho.

    8. So I've got my boy, Keid Ara! But I'm having a little wig trouble... I ordered a 7-8 inch wig from Leeke but it does NOT fit. No possible way, it's way too small. I was wondering if anyone had any company and size recommendations for these boys.

    9. Hi, hi. I recently managed to find a Lumedoll Saiph head, which I had fallen in love with some time ago. Now I am looking for a 60-65cm female body that is a good resin match for Lumedoll's kinda purple-ish/pink-ish undertoned NS.

      I found in another thread that Dollstown has a skin that matches well. But Dollstown 15 year girls body was recently discontinued, and neither the new 16 or 18 year body is done yet. So, I have continued looking.

      I rather like the realistic proportions of Angelsdoll's 62cm girl. Does anyone have an experience with matching Lumedoll NS with Angelsdoll resins? Or with any other resins?

      Any help on finding a good resin match would be greatly appreciated. I am so excited to finally be getting a Saiph head! :D

    10. I got a newsletter from Eva yesterday. Saiph is going to be rereleased! Excellent news for me (though maybe a bit annoying for people who've spent time scouring the marketplace for Saiphs).

      I'm sad though that Eva is discontinuing her realskin. I have two Lumedolls (a Moon and a beautiful new Zero) both in realskin. It's lovely resin. I would have loved a realskin Saiph.

    12. Well eva doesn't say he'll be time-limited, so I'm assuming that Saiph is back as a Lumedoll basic. He always looks so lovely in owner pics. I thought I was done buying dolls for this year (some hope!), but now I need a Saiph and another Bimong doll and maybe a tiny or two...

    14. Will there be one more order period for real skin? I noticed on the website it will be discontinued in June. If not, what a shame regardless. It looks so nice, and I've been debating for about forever about getting Keid Ara and whether or not to get him in urethane or real skin. That's what I get for being indecisive!

      Also, great news with Saiph being offered again! He has a very interesting face.

      I'm a wee bit sad too about the end of real skin. I love my real skin Io and Zero, but eva does have lovely urethane resin colours now. If you think you do want to order a real skin Keid, why not drop eva an email to let her know? She's lovely and does listen to her customers (hence, I imagine, the reappearance of Saiph!)

Just sent an email to order my Saiph :whee: I had to sell my Leeke Mihael to do so, as I just bought another AiL head and I couldn't have that many big boys :XD: I'm planning on putting Saiph's head on my Soom Chalco body, and the AiL head on the Lumedoll body. I've ordered him in normal yellow, so hopefully that all works out OK haha I'm so excited, I love Saiph SO MUCH.
