Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I never thought I wanted big elf dolls, but I have fallen for Saiph and Bellatrix. Has anyone just ordered heads? I can't afford the entire dolls just yet, but would like to buy the heads I want before they are discontinued. I've been searching, but could not discover a price for them.

    4. @Cynthia In FlintHills: Thanks for the info but I decided to wait for when Eva releases her new sculpt next year. For now, I'm going to opt to purchase Saiph before he's discontinued at the end of December. I also like Bellatrix so it's good to know that it might be possible to purchase a floating head because I certainly can't afford to purchase two dolls. ;0; I don't know if it's rotten luck or what but the dolls I want keep getting discontinued. D: My poor piggy bank. It's starving.

    6. Resurrecting this thread to discuss Dollist's new beauties, Keid Ara and Tania.

      Dollist, can you tell us more about the new Real Skin tones? Is it like French resin, and do you know how it's holding up to aging?

      I'm craving Keid Ara, and trying to decide which skintone I'd like. (Not that I can do anything about it... just don't have the funds right now! :sweat)

    7. I hope Eva doesn't mind me posting this, but I asked the very same question as you airhe, and Eva told me this:
      "The real skin is similar to french resin. Some US artists that I know and some friends tell me it is french resin, but since that type of resin is a very mysterious and closely guarded secret in the BJD world, we can only guess! But it does have the look and feel of French resin. I've done tests for yellowing, and while it does yellow, it's not severe or unsightly (and my tests are extreme!) so with normal use it should be okay."

      I am hoping to order a tania in the suntan skin, but I'm curious to see the ankle and wrist poseability first (it's something I get picky about). Tania is a beautiful doll, Eva is so talented!

    8. I discovered Tania while I felt fascinated for sleeping Keid.

      And Im so blown away by her! :fangirl:

      She is so different then any other BJD girl out there!

      So now Im plotting how I can afford her, either a layaway or split for head.

      But then I wanting her in light flesh real skin resin and Im afraid it will be immpossible to find matching body.

    9. Thanks flowergirl, you beat me to it! Yes, it has the same characteristics as french resin and I would handle it the same as any other french resin. Of course, I think most dolls are treated with care whatever resin they're made in ;)!

    10. I was just wondering since on your website there are pics of the body, is one in Real Skin the shorter girl and the other girl in Normal Urethane?? I was curious as to why one resin makes her look shorter than the other.

    11. I did notice that as well. All resin shrinks in the molds to some degree, and the resin I use for the real skin has only a very small fraction more shrinkage than the regular resin I use (and the resins I use actually have some of the lowest shrinkage rates available). The result is a height difference of 3mm (which hasn't had any affect on how eyes, wigs, or clothing fits!).

      But, I also have noticed that the boys cast in both resins are all the same height, which makes me wonder if perhaps the day I cast her, the temperature might have had some affect on how much shrinkage occurred.

    15. Dollist's sculpts just appeal to me more and more with each new mold. I really like how it seems like the sculpts are just constantly getting better and better.

      Tania is going to be very hard to resist. I just love the female body, too. One of the only female bodies I like.

      I only really collect males, though. Hmm... Decisions, decisions! :lol:

    19. My best friend has a Kiad Lumedoll, which I'm babysitting for a while. So I'm familuar with them abit, and I just like how slender the dolls are.
