Well just got my sixth Lumedoll, my fourth boy, and he will be last seeing as Lumedoll won't be making these any more after the 15 th of this month. As of May 15 th Eva is going to stop taking preorders. You might see them offered on eBay, but not for sure. I know she wants to create something entirely new, so if anyone was on fence the clock is ticking.

She has dolls on eBay. So not sure if she will continue doing that or totally stop. She has a Atik in ebony last time I looked.
I kinda wish you hadn't told me that, because now I have to decide if I want to try doing my first resin faceup during midwest summer or wait... Edit: Aaaand that's my fun money done with for a while. No time like the present to improve my faceup skills I guess.
Eva only charges $40 to do a face up. Plus think of fact she's in Florida. Our summers are hot, but she's got summer like weather most of the year. The dolls on eBay are ready to go I think so you could have it fast.
That's true, Florida has high humidity all year round, and her work doesn't seem to suffer for it. Of course, that's because she knows what she's doing.
In addition to which she's probably working in an air-conditioned environment. From what I hear, everyone has AC in Florida.
Just got my latest order from TTYA. The shirts fit like always, but this time around I opted to get some pants. The yellow pants with patches on knees; comes in other colors too. These fit and my girl can sit down, but her behind does show a bit. I saw the post upthread yesterday about these guys being done on the 15th and had a bit of an "Oh sh*t!" moment as I'm considering shelling one of my guys as a Meissa boy and the final date had come and gone (and I've got nothing in my dolly funds account but dust and tumbleweeds *sigh*). I emailed Eva to ask if she was discontinuing the line (which would've been highly disappointing) and she answered back this morning that the line wasn't being discontinued, it was just the current order period that was finished. Whew! Thought I'd share the news in case anybody else had wanted to order but couldn't. Not sure when the next order period will be (I didn't ask as it couldn't happen for me until at least... October at the very earliest).
Oh see that was my error. I thought she was going to start on something new, so she was ending these. Good to know.
Big sigh of relief from me, too. I was hoping it was only the end of the current order period. Glad to know that's all it was.
I've long admired the Meissa sculpt but had no idea who he was. Now, he may be a new character that's popped up in a story as I think he has the right delicate look especially when paired with the SD Vito boy who's the other main (who needs a body to go with the awesome head I have *sigh*). I'm still waffling a little but at least I do have time to make up my mind, which is a relief even if my wallet isn't so thrilled *laughs*.
I asked in the photo reference thread for pics of a Vito with an Idelian51, DC boy on the K-12 body and a Lume mini. Because DoA peeps are awesome, somebody was able to provide me a pic of 3 of the 4 together (the DC boy wasn't in the shot). For my purposes, the character I'm attempting to shell is a very slight, delicate looking guy. The contenders right now are between the DC and the Lume boy (the K-12 body is taller than the Lume boy by roughly 4.5cm but the head sculpts of DC that fit on that body are less mature looking to me than the Lume sculpts). The other character, I already have his head (SD Vito Azreal skull head) and the ID51 was more for overall reference for me as I have an ID51 (who's partnered with a Vito Rail, which I haven't purchased yet because dolly funds are dry right now *sigh*). If somebody wanted similar sizes between the pairing, the Vito and Lume mini would not really work. But since they're supposed to be pretty different in body size/shape, it works for me and my purposes. If someone was looking for a Vito with a significantly shorter male partner that was more in-scale with each other, Iple JID looks pretty good (the top of the JID head comes to roughly the top of the Vito shoulder).
