Waow, Imajica, congrats!! He's real cute, and Gulliver is a great name for him!! And he's got beautiful eyes, did he come with them or did you change them?

 

I changed them but the ones he came with were nice. I just like to personalise my newbies. Thank you I love him. He is settling in just fine!

I am like you for the eyes, I already ordered a new pair for mine, they will be purple! I still have a few weeks to wait for him though...But in the meantime I am very happy to watch yours and the others around here!

 

He is beautiful, imajica. I know exactly what you mean about Gull and my little nameless boy not quite fitting in with other dolls. My Io hangs out with two six-year-olds and a talking piggy. He doesn't have a whole lot in common with them. He seems perfectly content though aas if he's dreaming of woods and rocks and other ancient things.

You're inspiring me to sort out new eyes and a coat for him.

 

Yes psammead he does look like he is dreaming , happy with the world turning around him. What kind of coat ? Looking forward to new eyes and new photos.
I love the buds of his horns and his teeth and oh those ears!

 

Oh, I have big plans! Way bigger than my skills to carry them out! I bought some brown linen and I want to make him a raggedy trenchcoat out of it. But then a coat with nothing under it might look a little, hum, weird -- weird in a disturbing Uncle-Ernie sort of way -- so I suppose I have to make trousers too. And I want to colour his hooves and add blushing. I think MadamMauMau's Highgate has beautifully coloured hooves. And I'd love to make him a wee umbrella so that he could look like Mr Tumnus in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. But that's way beyond me.

Io was the first doll I ordered and the second to arrive. I still only have 4 bjds -- and I think he's surprised me most. There's so much more to him than the photos on Eva's website could possibly show. I'm dying to order more dollies but what I've discovered is that they need work to reach their character and I have masses to do with the ones I have.

It's a shame no one seems to have ordered any of the other moons. I wasn't that bothered about Dionne, Luna or Lunar when I ordered Io, but now I've seen him I'm intrigued.

I am hoping mine comes soon, maybe before Xmas.

 

Are you three going to give your boys hair? I think mine will have a hat of some sort, sometimes, but no wig, he seems so gorgeous like that...
(I've just ordered him but am already making plans and trying to find clothes for him, as until now I have nobody his size...)

 

koxinel, I've no plans to give him hair. Like you say he looks so beautiful as he is. The bare dome suits him. The only way I might be tempted to give him hair would be if I got him some little dreads. If you search lumedoll io on flickr there's an amazing pic by candygears where an Io is wearing a wild pink mohair wig, almost like dreadlocks -- like he has a pink fire on his head. So maybe a dreadlock wig, either snowy or woodsy. I've just ordered him the most beautiful eyes.

Psammead, yes, I saw the pink mohair wig, there is a picture on this thread as well, he looks indeed good with it! Otherwise I was thinking like an iroquois. He needs something out of the ordinary, that's for sure.
Can't wait to see the new eyes you ordered. Does your boy have a name yet? (I apologise if I missed it).

I am having a wreath made for my litle Gulls head. I am off to find that flickr photo. Cant believe I missed that one , I searched high and low for photos of the little guy. That coat sounds amazing. Bratz pants so far fit. Well 2 of the three pairs but one pair was hipsters. Shame coz they were really fine leatherette and looked so cool. I may have to get hold of Marsh next year.

He settled really well with Pie and Madge. I had to laugh, when I looked at the photos later, at the way Pie is mugging to the camera having got her own way

 

When he/she gets here I will make some dreadlocks. But first I have to see what his/her color scheme is!
Imajica, has he met...the FFs??

 

LOL ... not yet. I was just thinking about that. Lana has already pointed out he has Bunko ears so it is a given Phoebe will love him. Horns ... Tirinity should be fine. Inara .... hmmm not so sure.

koxinel, I have 11 names for my little chap so far. Well, I guess I have eight now, since I read the list to my husband and he said Yuk! to 3 of them. He's a patient little fellow (Io, not the husband) so I guess I'll have to be patient too. He'll tell me his name when he's ready. Hope your little fellow comes sooo---ooon!
