LUTS Christmas Event

dude... if there's anyone who decides they don't want the head, i'll be happy to take it off their hands, one way or another, money or whatever!

 

Sean wrote "I will be sending out you items soon (with x-mas head)" hm, I thought that meant they would ship together.. But I think it could be different for each order, depending if it´s with or without make up.. Mine is without make up mand I really want a BW!!

The Juri heads are gorgeous, unfortunately, I don't have any girls. She looks so sweet.

I am getting on, and I really hope that she is BW! IF she comes in normal, will anyone be willing to trade with me? I know this is kinda off topic, but there´s been so many posts about which head people wanted!
If anyone gets a BW and want to trade, please let me know. Then if I get a normal, we can trade

BTW - This is only for a NON-face up´ed head as I am always doing the face ups myself..

This might be a silly suggestion...but while reading this thread, I noticed some appeals entreating those who're getting the head not to sell them as it's a free gift from Luts and Luts themselves have asked the receivers not to trade the heads as well.

And I get where those who plan to sell the head comes from: that's it's no point keeping a head you don't particularly care for. However, it also does seem a little unfair to sell something you basically got as a thank-you present for profit. Cause it can feel a little like a friend giving me a Christmas present that I don't like so I decided to sell it away and use the money to get something I do like instead?

So let's say, if you don't really need the money urgently, perhaps you can consider donating part of the sale money from the head to a charity instead? :smile: Just a suggestion! For those who don't want to keep the head but might feel guilty about selling it for a profit.

erm...

now i'm a little nervous - i was rereading posts on the luts site after asking whether or not i would get the special head (i only ordered the dark soo human w/ no make up so my order was exactly 470$ not including the shipping) and people were saying that you only get the head if your order is over 470... does that mean i won't be getting the head? or have people received confirmation that they're getting a head when they only ordered 470$ worth of stuff(like a delf girl with no make up like i did)?

should i try adding something to my order? i did post a question about it, but i haven't heard back yet... i'm sorry, i'm just a little nervous... i was hoping for this head as a christmas present to myself.

I think you should be good. I thought the magic number was at least $470.

 

I read a couple posts saying they are getting the event head w/ make-up and one saying they paid to have make-up on the gift head. Do you have to request make-up in the customer request box to have it painted? If there is a fee, how much is it? I've been kicking around ordering a mini fee Soo and I want an elf head so this might be the time to order if it comes painted.

OT: Also I'm sulking. I wanted Lizard Queen, had it in my cart and by the time I wrestled with my common sense about paying $150 for doll clothing, it was gone. My wallet thanks the lucky person who swooped in while I debated

 

if u want makeup for the event head u'll have to add an extra 50 to the total

I'm scared ^^;; I paid for my order (about $485 + shipping) and they didn't mention the christmas head in the confirmation...but they DID acknowlege that they read my note to them about eye color, which did also mention the christmas head...I think I'm fine, but I'm still nervous..I guess it's too early to ask if anyone else had them not mention the christmas head but still send it ^^;;.

 

I only got a confirmation on the Xmas head when Sean emailed to say it was being sent, not when the order was confirmed. So long as your order is $470+ I'm sure you'll be fine.

You know, I guess this is just being cranky (I am) but it seems as though if you ordered a girl body and had a $470 order that maybe they could supply the right color head to go with it?

I ordered a bunch of stuff from Luts this year, just not right now and no matter how I figured it, I couldn't get this head without buying a big doll I didn't really want (like a BW Lishe in case I got a BW head, etc.). I think I really like her better than DES and would pay the $50 for the faceup but I occasionally have a little sense...just not often enough.

Well, I guess that runs into the problem of people who are ordering a second body for a different doll, y'know? I thought about that once when I accidently ordered a pair of girl hands when ordering my El... "Why didn't anyone tell me they were girl hands?" But then later realized that they had no idea what/who I was ordering the doll hands for.

Besides, no one knows how they will be distributing the heads... maybe if you ordered BW stuff you'll get BW? or Normal with normal? Who knows really. I don't think they are expecting people to buy a body *for* the event head right off the bat.

you could always email or post on the Q&A board saying that you know you can't pick the head color, but if it's possible to order one body and if it's not matching the head they could send the appropriately colored body? I'm not saying they'll do it, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

 

Well, the thing is... We don't know how they're packing the orders. Who's the packing the orders. Considering the fact that some people are receiving their free heads separately from their main orders, it could be just one person in charge of that part and well, they're not going to know what was in your main order. Just a thought.

 

I'm kind of sad that this is making so many people upset. ;_; I mean...they are GIVING AWAY special heads. That's a big cost to Luts. Sometimes I wonder if they gave away the WHOLE doll if people would STILL complain because they didn't get to choose the color?...*sigh* Anyways...

I know I am estatic about it! I'm sure there are many many others who are as well. It's funny... when I first heard about the head I was sure I'd only like it if it was a boy... But then I instantly named the head upon seeing it (if that's any indication of love at first sight). Then again, I love both skin tones, so I wouldn't be upset no matter which I got. I wouldn't get too discouraged by this. I know most people are vocal when something is amiss, and tend to silently sit back and smile when happy.
