For people who get her and prettify her, please post lots and lots of pictures? For people like me who want her and probably won't be lucky enough to snag her on the secondary market? I can't speak for other people but pictures of her make me ridiculously happy and cheerful!

 

I think it's very nice of Luts to do this but it's also made it hard on some of us who have been good customers of theirs this year and would love to get this head with a body.

I ate $34 in return shipping charges for a body that had a gouge in it and a broken neck ring. I realize if I had kept after Sean, he'd have refunded the shipping like he promised - but I decided to be nice too...and not pester them over it.

I didn't complain to Luts and I haven't made their lives difficult by asking for special treatment in any way, although I'm sure that happens. I just won't be able to get this head and I'm disappointed.

It's just a guess but don't you think they'll sell a lot of extra bodies after this free promotion?

Of course they will. It's a nice thing and it's a great promotion but Luts is a business. They want you to spend your money. Nothing any business does is completely altruistic. But that doesn't change the fact that it's a great promotion and a wonderful gift.

 

I feel the same. Thay may sell more bodies after the event and such, but at the same time, each person who orders enough during this time frame is getting an item valued around $70+ for free. (I say $70, because luts girls run arbout $470, and you can get a body for $400). While promoting sales, they are giving a gift. It's nice for each person who gets one, but it also smart from a business standpoint

 

No one is being selfish by being upset by the resin colour. I think people trying to resell the heads might be a little bit, but being worried, anxious or upset because it won't match anything in your family, I don't think there is anything wrong with that at all. The point is, if you can't USE it then if you do love it you are out another $400 for a body. I recently just bought a beauty white, as a dream girl for my Shige who is my ultimate perfect doll. I am absolutely praying that this doll head is going to be beauty white and I'm pretty positive I'm going to cry my eyes out if she isn't and I can't find someone to trade one with, because I have it all out in my head from outfits to how she is going to look, to how he'll look with her. I've been very unhappy with most girl dolls I've seen and finally "settled" for one because I liked her; and then they informed me of this and when I saw her she absolutely stole my breath away. But I can't have her be normal and him be BW, it'll look terrible against each other. So I am just praying very hard, at this point, as many of us seem to be.

 

I was wondering, those whose dolls are shipping already...did you order makeup or not?

I paid off my order Monday and wondering where he would ship.

 

I paid Dec 1st, no makeup, and she is currently in the mail and should be here by Monday is my guess.

What? You may not mean it that way but the way you said it implies something so wrong. You might want to re-think that comment.

I can't believe everyone in this thread, getting all butt hurt because she might not be beauty white. She's a GIFT. They don't have to give you a head, they don't have to give you shit. But they want to because they're nice and want to give something back to their customers.

I just..I'm really quite speechless honestly.

So you might get beauty white, you might get normal, but at least you can be thankful for their generosity and pass the head on to someone that does wantt it, regardless of skin tone. Not cry or stomp your foot or act like a little brat because you didn't get it your way.

Uhm, no. That is how I feel about my dolls, I own an all beauty white family. I meant exactly what I said, I think the colours would look terrible against each other. That's just how I feel.

I can't speak for other owners, but I won't be like ;_; damn luts! if I didn't get it. Hell, if I didn't get a head at all, I wouldn't be ;_; Damn luts! either! I'll be dissapointed, but a gift is a gift.

I think the gift is VERY generous and it's an absolute beautiful mold, but you know what, people complain when it's something they desire because they want it a certain way whether it's a gift, whether it is something they paid for. MANY people trying to get Juri are PAYING for her. She might be a gift but many people are spending 470+ and up for HER.

There's nothing wrong with wanting a resin colour, it's being specific, not selfish. Many owners feel similarly. Expressing how we feel and desiring something a specific way for our family isn't being brattish, for such a small request it's barely anything compared to some of the selfishness that occurs at this season.

 

yeah it's a little like being given a gift by a stranger on the street you never thought would give you anything, who has no obligation to you, and then going "gah, why couldn't this coat have been in PINK?! Nothing green will fit with my wardrobe!" and getting all teary about it.

I just hope luts doesn't read this thread... what with people cancelling orders and making them give refunds in order to get a free gift, crying about skin tones and all the other antics it might put them off the idea of doing free item promotions....

Well, I'm happy. My order went in on the 27th of November for a BW Lishe with custom makeup and she's already been shipped ^^ - it doesn't matter that I'm not getting a free head because I'm getting the doll I really wanted, and so fast it's scary!

Yeah, but now see - the people who are all like 'be thankful, don't whine, you're being selfish' are being really... preachy? I find that far more annoying than the idea of someone selling the head.

YES its a gift. Its a truly wonderful gift... but come on, trading with someone who wants the other skin tone makes it MORE of a gift. Because both parties get exactly what they want! Its even more special. And hell, even if someone sells the head, they're basically transforming it into a different GIFT! So personally I don't care what people do with the head.

I think she's amazing and I intend to keep her. I just hope she's normal skin. ^_^

 

aie isn't being selfish...I personally think it's much better to want a certain skin tone than do what SOME people are doing, and trying to sell the head when Luts specifically told them not to. THAT is selfish. To want money for a gift is selfish. To be angry that you're only getting one head for each order you place, and place 4 orders because you want 4 heads is selfish...to hope you get a certain skin tone isn't. I'm sure lots of people here are hoping they get the skin tone that fits in with their family, and they're not all selfish. And really, don't single her out, because I've heard plenty of people say they want a certain skin tone. If you're going to pick on one person for something, pick on everyone for it.

 

I don't think trading would be a bad thing, that's a pragmatic solution to something without whining about it. But if you read this whole thread, the tone quickly degenerated from "oh, how lovely of them!" to "well, I better get the most out of this I can!"
Wanting BW instead of normal is okay, but getting stressed about whether or not it will be one colour or another seems a bit over the top - there are ways of sorting things out, and even if you don't get the colour you want, it's not the end of the world. I mean, everyone is still getting the order they paid for and the doll that they love... right?

I agree Lumi, selling the head would not be in the spirit of the whole event. If you really don't want it, why not give it to someone who does like it was given to you? And I didn't mean to single anyone out in my post - sorry if it looked that way. I was speaking in general of everyone who's made similar comments in the last 10 pages.

 

I don't think there's anything wrong with her wanting a BW head. She already pointed out that a normal tone just won't fit in her family. Besides, as much as people are sitting here preaching I highly doubt there's no thought in the back of some minds of "well, I'd kind of like it if I got ___ better."

And she'd have the right to be upset, there's nothing saying she CAN'T be. She never said she'd write luts and be like "holy crap guys I haet u!!! u didnt give me a bw hed :' (!!!". You're kind of jumping to conclusions.

Aie appreciates the sentiment from Luts as much as anyone else. It's not like she's calling and harrassing luts asking them for four heads.

That's true SporkNinja...I thought the same way that you do. I didn't think I'd like the head unless it was a boy...but when I saw the pictures I was like SQUEEE!...I'll turn her into a boy mwahahahahaha! ^_^ I don't care what the skintone is, and I'm not worried about the fact that I'll have yet ANOTHER bodiless head...I'm just excited to have such a lovely dolly head all for me. *hugs*
