I agree with radiotrash about the head. ^^ It's not preachy for her to say it's a gift; she's trying to inject levity, is all.

 

aie: I know that BW/normal couples are not necessarily a common sight, i think it can work beautifully. I've always loved how Victor (BW Yder) and Aislinn (normalskin Lishe) look together:

of course it's a personal taste thing and if you don't like it you don't - but just like MDS/SD pairings can work skintone differences can look equally striking and beautiful.

 

I don't think it's wrong to want a certain skintone and I think what I was taken was sort of out of context. I said I was SAD because so many people seem disappointed with what was meant to be a GOOD thing. And wanting an all white family isn't bad, I thought that's what I wanted too. But then I saw how lovely Winter and Madahari look against one another when they were making love. And it looks WONDERFUL. Beauty white and Normal skintone and even tan look good together. I want a family that's soooo different and wonderful, but anyways...I just want to see people happy.

I don't particularly like bw/normal together, especially with shige. he is my "perfect" boy, there is NOTHING I will change about him, so this girl has to be the "perfect" girl since she's his. It's all perfect in my head, both white skinned, green and red eyes, one all in black, one all in white. It's just .. it's beautiful, in my head.

However, your babies (or ashbets?) are very beautiful, I was looking at those photos earlier!!!

 

I think it's really nice of Luts to do this.
I am buying a mini fee soo and I am trying to get a few extra things so it is $470, I just hope that I do not spend too much as I still have to buy clothes and make up supplies from a different store.

 

I didn't know that, sorry but I don't follow your dolls much. Personaly I think different skin tone couples look nicer.

Nothing wrong with wanting them the same color, Aie. Perhaps if you get normal, you can trade for BW.

 

As I don't follow yours and many other families. It doesn't matter how I phrase something, whether it literal or figurative or how I feel really. This is important to many of us, as it seems she's stolen many of our hearts. If we're sad/depressed/whatever that is our right, in the end. Sorry.

That's what I'm going to try to do. ^^; I know Noir was also trying to, and I think two other people I've spoken to ... here's to hoping we all get our pretty desires.

... and i certainly see your POV. totally! but sometimes w/ dollfies (at least it seems to me) you expect to love something and are dissapointed, or you expect something won't work and it does ... this randomness may work out for people in the end. maybe a few people that never liked BW before get a BW head and decide they love it, or the other way around.

Yeah, with dolls it is always a little confusing. I personally, have been telling myself the doll arriving is going to be a normal so I won't get my hopes up and can be prepared to start looking for a bw if the time comes. If it's what I want then, hell yeah! But we won't know until it shows up.

 

I myself don't care too much for BW, afraid they'd get dirtier fast and stuff, but I have seen some BW dolls I wouldn't mind having, at least seeing if I did like them.

 

I felt that way in the beginning and didn't think I'd ever want a BW and now I have too many XD .. I am terrified of them yellowing easier as I've seen it happen; but I know they are my babies and I will love them regardless.

 

Oh, dear -- I hope it's "per order" and not "per account" rather selfishly, because I just put through a shared order with a friend, and then discovered today that my husband was very unexpectedly offering to kick in for a Luts order after all . . . so I've just placed two $500+ orders with them in the last few days (the latter of which I really couldn't afford, oops . . . but my husband offering to contribute towards anything having to do with my dolls was too good an opportunity to be missed!!)

Regardless of whether or not I get a Juri head to keep for myself (since the other is promised to my friend who's splitting the first order), I'm very grateful to Luts for offering us this beautiful free gift . . . it's such a wonderful offer, and I greatly appreciate their generosity!!

Well, there've been mixed answers regarding that. Someone asked (via phone) and the Luts person said it was per account. Someone else asked (also via phone) and the Luts person said it was per order.

I guess we'll find out in a couple weeks. ^^

 

Has anyone actually asked Luts to clarify this "no trade" statement? Because I really don't think it has anything to do with what you do with your Juri head once you get her. They just don't want you to ask them for, say, a DES head instead. In which case all this debate about the morality of selling it/trading it/giving it to your dog to chew on is kinda moot.

Ah, sadness.

I got my response from Luts, and it would be much more to reach the $470 price than I thought. I completely forgot that the shipping cost was added in, and so I would have to spend almost another $100, plus the cost of the makeup. T_T So, I decided in the end that it would be a bad decision for me to put that much money out at this point. >_<

I hope that everyone else can get their Juri without a problem, and I look forward to seeing pictures of her. ^_^

 

I personally love all the skin tones. I Currently own a BW F08 and a normal Ttory elf. I love them both! I ordered a normal body from luts assuming I would be more likely to get a normal skinned Juri. If not that's cool too, I'll just have to buy another body and head >D or sell the one I bought and she will have to wait for a new body ;p Luts uses mostly normal skinned dolls for their pictures as well, and look how gorgeous they all are.

I do at some point plan on getting another BW doll to add to my family XD

I'm sorry you won't be able to get Juri either. That was basically my problem, too, plus the possibility of another $400 plus EMS order to get a body for her. Maybe I could sell what I'd ordered this time, but there's no guarantee so Luts didn't make any sale to me either.

The odds of finding someone else who had ordered a head with default makeup and got normal instead of BW and wanted to trade didn't seem good enough to take that kind of risk. If I had waited and ordered some of my dolls, it wouldn't have been such an issue but I placed all my orders earlier.

I'm not angry, but I liked her and would probably have spent some money at Luts if I could have been certain of the color. I'll enjoy seeing everyone's dolls.
