LUTS Christmas Event

I suspect there will be much trading of heads for different skintones when everyone's heads arrive! Which will be nice for everyone, IMHO, since there seem to be an equal amount of people who want her in BW and people who want her in normal skin.

I like both skin tones, but since I ordered Breakaway in normal skintone I'd like Juri to be BW so they can contrast. To each their own! I'm so excited to hear that some of you have gotten your shipping notices, I hope I get mine soon too!

 

Her quantity decreased from "200" to "199" o_O. I am about to do something I wasn't going to do and make another order... (I ended up having more money than I thought I would. Merry Christmas to me XD ):p

 

I don't think it is any ruder than the situation where someone gives you a gift, & tells you where they got it from, & it doesn't suit/fit you, so you exchange it for something else. I just think that the rather confusing statement about not trading heads (which I guess they mean selling heads by) is making people feel uncomfortable about swapping them.

I guess someone should ask Luts to clarify that statement... I showed it to my husband: he thought it meant they'd prefer us not to sell the heads, just as some promotional items say "NOT FOR RESALE" on the packaging, & not that we can't swap heads with eachother.

I bet Luts don't want someone clueless to buy a head for lots of money on Ebay, then find out it was a free gift & contact Luts to complain... there's lots of room for misunderstanding...

I'm a little late throwing my two cents in, but I completely agree. Knowing how these foreign companies regard the dolls, I can't see them very happy at people just tossing them up on eBay. I don't know. It's just kind of unnerving when people are talking about selling someting on ebay when it's Luts's (very expensive) gift to their honoured customers.

Anyway, I'm getting a Juri head with my Hound, and I can't wait to have her!
I was an idiot and didn't see the part about paying for makeup so I didn't add any. Oh well. I'll have to do it myself. It'll be an excuse to go buy MSC and liquitex, along with paint my Haruka.

 

Aie congratulations I really want a bw head too because I have all normal skin dolls and I want something different... Luckily I have one or 2 days left to see what I got, she'll be my first elf too ^^

... and no kagari, the NORMAL mindset is not if it is limited ebay is good, the NORMAL mindset is that the doll is limited, and people seem to cherish dolls more if they are limited because they worked harder to get them, and they love them more. These are a GIFT that they have asked you not trade off. Regardless of you having a right or not, it's a sense of morals.

If you want to sell your heads and brag about it, go right ahead but take it to another thread, away from this one of awaiting new owners. Scroll through the pages, your comments have definately upset others besides myelf. I can understand people who don't have USE for the head and want to sell it, but for people who are selfish and just want it to sell it to make free money, they don't deserve it at all.

Yay! That's so exciting Aie! I hope if I do end up ordering Yder and getting Juri that she is normal skin. All my dolls so far are normal, so I think a bw would be out of place in my family just like a normal skin qirl would be out of place in yours. I really need to decide quickly here whether to order now or not.

Where are people seeing the quantity? And does it actually say on the site anywhere that there is a limited quantity and the event may end early if they run out? I've seen people saying this, but I couldn't find that information anywhere on the site.

Um. That's not a normal mindset. That's called a "I want to make as much money off this as I possibly can" mindset. And well... That's very insulting to all the people who really, really want this head but can't scrounge up the funds to place a Luts order of at least $470 just to get it.

 

Has anyone noticed that Juri is now listed as 'out of stock' on the eluts website - does that mean she's already all gone?

 

I have a message from Doogi to share about the Christmas head and what they meant about not trading. It's below. Doogi rocks! Here is Doogi's note. Seems he's saying that although they hope everyone loves it and keeps it, but that they still understand that not everyone will be able to do that (the but, the message is just entrusting part).

I think she's listed as out-of-stock so people don't just try to buy her off the website ^^ I doubt it has anything to do with the actual number of heads they have left.

 

I sure hope not, because I've almost convinced myself to order Yder now. I just posted on the Q&A board to ask about her availability so I'll let everyone know what I hear.
