Luts Delf Discussion - thread 2

I don't have an Isabella, but she's on my wishlist! I agree that owner photos of her are so rare. If I ever eventually get her, I'll be sure to post some! I'd love to see more of yours!

Hoping to be ordering a Delf Dan in the summer. I was gonna wait til winter and get him in the event tans but I'm scared he'll get discontinued.
He's been on my mind for so long.

I wish they'd do another head ordering event, I'd get quite a few of them.

 

She's Isabella. Nobody seems to have her except maybe 2 of us. It's so. Sad because I think she has such a sweet face!

She is really cute I like AnnaMarie, but I really shouldn't go for that sculpt as I tend to fall for cute baby-faced ones a little bit too much. I'm getting Muse Jean on the boy Delf body, and I'm trying to not make all my dolls cute like that

 

Has Luts said something about discontinuing some of their sculpts soon? Now you've got me in a panic @KittyOrochimaru !

 

What do you mean? I've known about Luts for a long time, and I can't ever recall seeing them discontinue any sculpts! They still even have their least popular sculpt, KDF AN. That's a pretty old sculpt!

There's one thing I've noticed about Luts and that is that they release new sculpts but never seem to discontinue any. Except from some of their oldest ones from before I got into the hobby, I believe.

Although I don't have plans getting Dan, I've always since he were released wanted to see some owner pictures of him I got a big weakness for cute faces like that, which is why I like AnnaMarie and the Muse Jean version. I'm getting Jean myself oneday (hopefully sooner than later) on the Delf boy body if it is possible

 

Well, they did discontinue the cp/delf dolls, but that was long ago and due to a split with CP.

 

Sorry I didn't mean to panic anyone! It's merely for my own fear. With how sudden things can change in the hobby I just didn't wanna miss out on a doll I really love again.
As far as I know. No they're not.

 

Somewhat related, but I asked Luts on their Q&A board recently if they had any plans to re-release older limited sculpts. Like 5-10 year old stuff, and they replied with:

Thank you for loving our company and doll. We are truly thanking you and we will bring your request to our daily meeting.

Currently, we do not have any plans yet, but if we have plans, we will notify you on the notice board.

Moreover, if there are many inquires in the future, the promotion plan will be moved forward.

So if anyone's interested in some of their old limiteds, definitely let them know!

 

I had this exact same reply beginning of the year.
I asked for a dambi release and got that reply.
I know they won't re-release their CP sculpts but the others they might if enough people ask.

 

Yes, there is that. But I don't count that as Luts had no choice when it came to the old Delfs, unfortunately. If it had not been for FL we probably would still have had the old Delfs. I remember I got so upset they had to be discontinued!

Don't worry, I understand that way of thinking as I think that way myself sometimes It's true, you never know when a sculpt get discontinued. I really wanted Doll Chateau Irma but on a human boy body, making the sculpt into an alien kind of character. But in my mind I thought I had all the time in the world. Then oneday I visit Alice's Collections and notice Irma is gone. I had lost my chance at getting that sculpt...

So I learned from my mistake. A doll you really want, better to get it earlier than later and regret it if it does get discontinued!

 

Luts doesn’t normally discontinue sculpts but they do renew the faceups sometimes. So if there’s a particular Luts faceup you want I’d worry more about that.

 

I didn't even realize this threat existed lol. I actually have my very first delf on order and I'm sorta planning another delf "head" on a senior delf body. I was really into the older Luts dolls back in the day but no way I could afford them back then. Kinda making up for lost time now lol.

 

Soooo i might be having a Dan on the way! I'm super excited.

Does anyone have a Delf Yuu? I noticed there are no blank pictures of him on the website either. His face is interesting.

 

I think i might order Yuu in tan in the winter event or next spring. He intrigues me so much. They have no blank photo for him either. I just wanna see him without a faceup! haha. I'm excited to get my Dan still though - luts sculpts sure are something special.

@KittyOrochimaru - Ooh, I've always been curious about Yuu as well--such a potentially intriguing expression. I hope you post lots of him if you end up snagging him! Congrats on the cute Dan too!
