Why does Abadon suddenly look so ..... Hound-esque?

And Bliss.... definitely need a full-body pic, how on earth does that round girly head fit with the super-muscled bod we saw on Abadon? O.o

...... I was expecting them to hit the 67cm mark somehow... but it's ok, as long as it's taller than Isao I think the character could work... I think...

Yeah, they always announce if a doll is limited in advance, so no need to worry with these guys

 

I'm kind of disappointed in the height. I was expecting something a bit taller than 62.5cm. I'm also disappointed that there aren't anymore photos up. I need to see the body! Hope we don't have to wait until May 1st for that. 0_o It would be nice if they were to post a photo comparing them with regular Delfs. That way no one would have to do any guessing. ^^

But I'm still drooling for Abadon. I love his face so much. Kind of like a mature Moon perhaps? He does resemble Heath, but I never liked Heath's mouth. His is a bit different I think. Bliss is nice too, but I wouldn't have any use for him. Not sure if he would make a nice girl, but who knows.

Okay, why is everyone so disappointed that the senior dolls are not 70cm??? What's so good about making them 70cm other than their height???

Well, I'm glad they're 63cm cuz then buying/finding clothes would be easier to get. They would fit somewhere along the SD13 boy body, right??? (but probably use Hound size shoes -_-; ) And interactions with other Luts doll (and other 60cm range dolls) would look fitting. Not only that, 63cm will make them within a $550-$650 range, making them affordable rather than a $700-$800 range. Hm...this is probably why they're not limited.

I'm loving the boys so far. But I'd say that Abadon looks more like a hybrid of Moon and Heath. I wont know until I see more pictures (why is it only one???). And Bliss looks like a gentle version of DK Loon that I wanted. Bliss looks too girly in the picture, but I"m pretty sure with the right wig, clothes and make-up, he can look like a boy. I guess Bliss will be a replacement for Loon since I can't order from DK's Korean page. XD;;

They're on my wishlist.

That's true about the clothes. I kept wondering how I was going to manage the clothes with such a tall boy. XD You're also right on the price. However, I'm only looking at him for a character doll (don't think I have to explain) so I was taking in consideration how accurate it could get. I have no original characters that would need to be his height and build. But I still like him, I'm seriously thinking of getting him. However, I can't decide if I want his face or Moon. I know they look a bit similar, but there are differences. Anyway, that's for me to worry over.

 

I don't like them... no no, I don't! Abadon's lips don't look full and sexy at all, no no no!! And he doesn't look like a grown-up mix of El, Moon and Shine... and and... AND!! *continues staring at him*

I say that 62.5 height is perfect, if the regular Delf heads look good n it, my Vincent might get a new body!!

As a seamstress I can tell you that it's going to require a whole new set of patterns. It would have been easier to dress him if he had been 70cm...at 62.5 everything SD13 will be a smidge too short.

I do like the doll but sheesh...how many sizes do we need to choose from?

Nanuri Charity Event head was in June-July. I remember for sure, because it started just a few days after I ordered a Delf body... Doh!!

In April-May they had a free wig and a free pair of shoes event though! So my guess it will be shoes/wig this time.

 

I dont see how your point is easier... You'll have to take more (or the same amount of) effort to sew, put the patterns together, and so forth. In the end, I think it's the same amount of work. How is that easier??? Would it just be easier to measure from a 70cm doll as oppose to a 63 one??? Personally I think there's gonna be new patterns for any dolls regardless of height cuz the SD13 will be slightly off. And some SD13 clothes dont even share the same measurements. ^^;

The SD13 is just a way to gauge a size, even tho all dolls do not conform to it. SD13 could be slightly modify to fit these senior dolls too, right???

Also you're a seamstress, but I dont think that the majority of buyers/soon-to-be owners of Abadon and/or Blilss will know how to sew so I think Luts is reasonable to have them at that size. It would be easier for sewing-impaired owners (no offense or anything!) to get clothing elsewhere. Hm....They might even fit the Luts clothing. XD;

All and all, just my opinion.

Well,I like Abadon but Bliss has too much Shiwoo and Dambi going on for me. I do wish they were slightly taller. I was hoping Abadon would be at least 64cm for a character of mine. Alas, said character will just have to be adjusted in height. He has enough El/Breakaway to make me happy but I like that he's stronger featured than they are. I wish there was a full body pic though! Just when I think the wait is over,they tease us some more!

Well i like bliss, but i don't really like the hight for that one. I think he/she should be shorter than abandon, i can't see that head on the muscular/ribby body!

Sofar i'm not sold on any of them though. I really don't like abandon. The ribs, hands and face. They're to much like my souldoll lune (recessive chin pointy nose) and those feet, they're MASSIVE!

But that's just me...

Depending on further info on bliss i may buy him/her. I do really hope that the normal delf heads fit on them. They should, the senior delf heads are smaller than the normal delf's. so i dont see why they wouldn't fit.

 

I assume she means that 70cm would be easier because she already HAS basic patterns for 70cm dolls... It's easier to slightly alter an existing pattern for a different build of the same scale than it is to completely resize and redraft a pattern from one scale to another. (ie: It's easier to alter a Hound pattern to fit a Model boy, say, than to take an SD13 pattern and redraft it to fit him.)

As for me... I'm not too worried about the height, since neither of them have the right face to match the character of the existing 70cm doll that I wanted to replace. Neither of these guys will work for Seimei.

I may end up liking Bliss for someone else, though. He's got a god-awful face-up, that photo is taken from a very odd angle and it's so Photoshopped that it's hard to tell much of anything about the sculpt... so I'm waiting for more to make a final choice... But I think he does have some potential.

 

I need mine to interact with two SD13s, an SD16 and an SD17 (two of those are friends' dolls ^_^ ). And his age is closer to SD16 than SD13, so at the very least he needs to be (a)muscular, and (b) taller than Isao. There's no point in getting this boy otherwise... =(

Okay, so he *is* taller than Isao, but is he muscular? Are those his ribcage showing, or some kinda attempt at intercostal muscles? *Needs* more pictures

EDIT Oh... as for everyone else, I just assumed they were comparing it to other companies, eg- Hound, Mecha Angel, etc. I only expected a more drastic height difference simply based on the word "Senior" ^^;;

Can't say anything about the tailoring stuff, though.
