Luts Royal Senior Delf Discussion Thread

Yes! I also liked the individual photos and the different resin colours... though now I'm like oh to have an Abadon in real skin brown. LOL

LUTS does seem to believe in the RSDF, they are certainly different. I know Dollmore has the Trinity size which I've really enjoyed looking at pictures/owner pictures of over the years but they just have a different flavour? I'm not sure WHY I feel this way but, it could be because LUTS has only released boys so far and they seem like less of a 'set' than the Trinities? I have no idea but all that rambling got me thinking that I would love to see some huge girls added to the RSDF line down the road.

@green_judy I think you could be right about Eddy might be a dark horse in the race! He has a lot of potential for the sweet boy look but yet not. I'm thinking Abadon or Mars will be the most popular just based on handsome factor. xD

 

I think they push most of their new lines. As they should from a marketing perspective.

The same happened when they released the broadshouldered SDF girls. I haven't encountered anyone who actually likes that body but since release they always got some attention from Luts during their events.

But I definitely feel like the RSDF get more attention than other (safer) lines at release. Luts needs to establish them as they are pretty much new ground for doll collectors.

They are definitely royal for sure, but I could never, too big for me My size limit is the Grand Senior Delf. But I'm looking forward to when pictures are starting to get posted here

 

Logically I know I still have a wait but, I’m getting so antsy to see if these guys are going to be sent out before the holidays! I keep obsessively checking the status of my order. xD

Anyone else who ordered one of these guys doing the same? LOL

 

I have been so busy that I haven't even had the headspace to think about the Giant Man! But now I'm excited again.

Has anybody heard any rumors about delivery time for the Royal Delfs?

 

I ordered RSD Saturn (full doll + make-up+hands blush+blue outfit + shoes+wig) at 22 of July. About month ago I received an email about progress. Luts told my doll can be shipped around 15th december. Today is 16 and doll still "in progress"

 

That's good to know! I ordered the 24 of July and haven't received any update email but LUTS is pretty hit and miss with emails for me I've noticed, LOL. I might ask them about the status of my order on the Q&A board just because the curiosity really is killing this cat. xD

 

New Royal Abadon just dropped. Goodness gracious

 

I'm not comfortable with that size, but I'm just thinking, "thank goodness this isn't a SDF or SSDF size!

Is it just me or have open mouth sculpts like this become more popular and more common? I see them everywhere XD Would be cool though if Luts made more sculpts with open type of mouth like this for their smaller sized dolls also.

 

Oh my god, I love him! But... there's no way I could justify another one of these guys LOL I will just have to swoon from afar. I am really interested to see full pictures though because it actually would be kind of cool if LUTS made those long nail hands to purchase separately sometime. Also, I wonder if there will be more of that kind of fantasy type like beast/vampire for different sizes. like a GSDF size

Open mouth sculpts do seem to be becoming really popular! Or maybe just more companies that usually don't do them are starting to die their toes into it. xD That's another thing I agree with would be cool to see in other sizes!

I forgot to update about how I made out asking LUTS about my order and they said there was a delay but my doll's makeup is done and they should be shipping him next Wednesday or Thursday so I'm very excited but a little nervous to see how big this freaking box is going to be. xD

My Tide arrived today and he is... huge LOL. I adore him but, wow, it was a lot to take in. I can't wait to really get to pose him and compare him to my other dolls!

Yes! LUTS did such a great job on them, the nails are so realistic and they did some subtle veining that is really neat.

@sovayne Congrats!! He looks amazing! It seems he won't share that chair with anyone. He takes the chair all to himself. It'd be lovely to see him with your other dolls.

May I ask if he is able to stand on his own? From what I gathered most dolls above a certain size can't do so. But Luts is pretty good when ut comes to engineering their bodies.
